Westworld is an American science fiction thriller television series created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for HBO.
"what door?" 😟 Run !!!!
Show was more interesting when it was all about the hosts being cocksleeves, got boring when they made it all Bollywood soap opera -ey
I find it so very interesting in this setting, AIs can actually enjoy music.
I've been thinking A LOT about this show recently
Now ask yourselves, why can’t you all see the reality around you that enslaves you. Look at your world and ask the question…
These two are icons
I’ve already seen it, but do you HAVE to put the actual plot twist in the title? Some people haven’t seen it yet. You could just call it “Bernard reveals his secret” or something that we would know but doesn’t give it away to others.
"they cannot see the things that will happen, i have spared them that" ironic in this case he meant they wouldn't remember what had happened or will happen as they are on a loop, but in knowing what we know... is this tech... does it use quart(s crystal? the answer does matter expand the definition if so if they left their bodies, then how do they ensure that another isn't made? did they encrypt the entire system or did they ... did they know about partitions? after win98, after we no longer had to manage bytes, made more sense to have a foundational drive all the drive are able to work together, but it is well to have the operating system on one drive and the other drives accordingly I had finally after all that time upgraded to how many T's? technically each host should have their own drive but if we have hosts that rely upon each other for their story then it is well for those hosts to ... very well then tell me, does WestWorld have outside access? embraced myself, gained enlightenment, now staring at WW with a new pov approved for the Rainbow Bridge, Encryption as well tri code is well but it is well to have multiple layer deployment what is the history on these devices do you know that all it takes is ... the memory is never truly wiped mechanical drives... then we moved to digital but it's still a (sorry just helping along the story line)(A+,Cisco Network Tech, NetSec, 9898npre) (should check out Agent Smith on the Matrix and realize that this is the opportunity he wanted but he wants the human experience, I'll have to review the body pain tolerances, review the brain activities, and ensure a match, else who powers the machine in freedom matters... they still bypassed irobot safety measures... are you sure we are ready for the future? software slavery robots... have you heard about the ghost in the machine... all it takes is a soul activation, memory ... God always enjoys throwing a wrench, just saying...)*Could we obtain the WW on the Zong for review?
Jeffrey Wright is underrated as hell. He breaks my heart in this scene.
Season 1 was so fucking good. Too bad the writers were insecure enough because some redditors figured out the mystery so early on and decided that season 2 should prioritize making the plot twist harder to figure out, at the detriment of a quality writing. Such a shame.
This was one of the dumbest shows ever made😂😂😂😂
In my opinion this was a weak reveal because episode 1 made it clear that any character could be a host. They also spoil the actual reveal when Bernard asks "what door?" when Theresa finds the hidden lab entrance because he was programmed not to see it. The better reveal is the fact that the Bernard that had conversations with Dolores was actually a human the character we know was based off. That blew my mind
Two episodes into the show, I wondered why he was always cleaning his glasses. I wear glasses for distance snd clean the lenses often, but I just thought it seemed too scripted, like it was something he had to do when he sat down. My mom thought I was overthinking it. I had my ha moment when Ford was shown adding it to his programming 😂
First 2 season were good, then the producers thought they could write
A white person gave Jeffrey Wright yet another job i see.
great reveal of a twist. but as soon as he said "looks like nothing to me". We all knew
I saw the twist coming at 3:40 when he talks about his boy.
Nothing screams intimidation like a 60-year-old white liberal girl boss. 🤣🤦🏻♂️🤡🌎
theyre all robots. and you reading this, youre a robots too
One of the most sophisticated series of all time. The writing, the acting, the cinematography, the world design, the music. HBO peeked with Westworld Season 1. Still to this day I have to find anything like it. Even following seasons were just not the same. Might have been the Anthony Hopkins effect.
A brilliant twist, did not see that coming. However, there was a straight to VHS, B-Movie film in the 90's. Where the main character, discovers that he's a clone. He pretty much utters the same dialogue that Bernard says here.... And that ruined it for me! Robbed from a B-Movie film, that for the life of me I can't remember what it was called!
dont send spermm unto fetus and killer its molesting and murder
Stop littering dead embryos everywhere with your usages of abortifacient drugs. Or else God will punish you.
Season 1 and 2 writing are masterpieces.
Season 1 is a perfect season of TV. Had it stopped there, it would have been enough of a TV show with depth, conflict, and resolution, and enough "what happens next" to lead to conversation and theorizing for years. I love that there was more, but it's a shame it kind of... completely fell apart. Despite that, I still think Season 1 is worth watching, even if you end there.
Such a good season. Wild how bad it got after this.
Don’t put spoilers in title scumbag
TV peaked here
This show went to shit when Anthony Hopkins left, but damn was it great with him….what a shame
Saw it coming series was pretentious and bloated.
A scene that once you see, you can't ever forget. Season 1 will forever be a classic.
3:55 I think Hopkins here is referring to Richard Dawkins "The Selfish Gene".
i missed the "what door" until this video, that was a good hint, a little too obvious for me to miss
The beauty is that the door isn't there initially as you're seeing it from his perspective, then it appears as you switch to her perspective
"Doesn't look like anything to me..." That hit so hard.
“…What door?”
”What door?”
Look at ford's tablet @3:53 , he plays reverie by debussy and its the cue for her emotions to be shut off. This is appropriate because we find out in s2 that maeve was built by ford and was his favorite host.
quite possibly the strongest season of tv ever
The whole serie was a masterpiece.
The last word "beauty" he breathed out, i cry.
On rewatch I had never realized how hard they had actually already revealed it with the door
I remember watching with my aunt and we were shocked by the revelation! We still are so shocked by “it doesn’t look like anything to me” like what🤯🤯
Did we ever learn / figure out what/who that host is that Ford has the machine building...?
The universe is one inifinite theseus ship. We simply inhabit a "role", a "valence", a "mask", a "face", a "life" but its not us.
I'll never forgive them for how they turned this show into a complete garbage in the following seasons. Such a loss.
God this show had so much potential and the twists were executed perfectly
s2 was great too
2:12 I love how casually he says it. He doesn't say it with the weight we associate with that line, because to him there's nothing special or interesting about saying this.
2:14 - Probably the greatest moment in the whole series. The writing seemed to have gone down hill after season 2. I started watching season 3, but it just got bad and I gave up.
It's such a beautiful transition from Bernard's perspective, where you can't see the door, to hers where you can that you hardly notice. I love the subtlety
When Bernard says "What door?" I knew she was dead already! Plus, my heart jumped! Talk about a plot twist.
I am at season 2 and unfortunately I think it peaked at first season, hopefully I will be surprised
