it's for mastering, so it doesn't need much. Start by linking controls (CLK in the bottom middle) and then using a low ratio like 1.5:1 or 2:1. Start with medium release and medium attack. Pull down the threshold until can hear the compressor working and see a few dB of gain reduction. Add an equivalent amount of makeup gain, then test by bypassing. A good mix usually doesn't need more than that.
@@ThePhantomJack Thanks, while I was looking at the UltraMarine , Erin came out and I placed my bet on Erin. The Erin manual hints it is revised and updated re-issue of UltraMarine (Ultra got a great reverb tho). So...
@@lwinhtoophaw7839 the distortion and compression is not the same, but Fairchild has different compression times, I don't think so but... The reverb is a bit of a 245 but it's SO CPU heavy.
Lots of punch in the low end on this compressor, impressive! Love the music too, very nice!
Incredible - you’ve done it again :)
Ive had this for years and still dont get how to use it. Some presets would have nice.

the compressor sounds a bit like aquamarine (shadow hills)
If you have, can you take a listen to the Erin compressor? Does it sound like Ultramarine?
@@lwinhtoophaw7839 it's very different, I've both of them.
