I just discovered your channel yesterday. I want to thank you for posting these videos. I started playing MTG in late 1994. I still buy cards upon occasion, but I feel more and more disenfranchised from the game as the years go by. These cards bring back such great memories for me. I spent nearly every week night of my summer vacations from '94-'98 playing magic with my Dad from about 9:00pm until 2:00am. He passed away almost 17 years ago now, and anytime I see two people playing magic with older cards, I'm instantly transported back to being 13 years old and sharing those late night hours at the kitchen table with him. Thanks again.
4:33 -- I find myself liking X points more and more. I think it fosters more creativity, because you don't just have The Deck, or slight variations on it, over and over. Forces you to pick and choose your power cards. You can't just put ALL of them in.
I still believe you can have fun with creative brews without a point system, but yes this game was very one sided. It's also a mind set of the player I guess. Why do you play? What's your goal? Why do you play with 93/94 cards instead of modern? These are of course all different for different players and can differ per event as well 🤷♂️
True, I find it interesting to see these decks in the top8, because then you have the really interesting match-ups and usually very close and thrilling games. For example, how will lion dib do against counter/burn or UWx control. Those games are usually super close and true nail-biters. What's your u competitive deck?
Game 2 really shows how OS feels for me atm, the first guy who draws power wins. I really been enjoying 7points singleton or xpoints lately.. Else "budget" OS is slso awesome
Sometimes these matches happen. I was playing at the same event and had fun the whole day, playing balanced match-ups. That's usually the benefit of the Swiss format, but not always ofc.

Though we've seen these archetypes dozens of times, it's still fun to watch the games and you never know how it would turn out in the end!

Uh oh. An empty beer right at the start? He's going for the extra challenge on his Chaos Orb flips. (╯°□°)╯ ︵ ━
I like the decktech 😂 monoblack a lot of explanation then this is ldb 😂
It’s cool to be the villain 🦹♀️
The aggressive plays of Ron… literally… putting his creatures already half on the playmat of his opponent. It shows he means business. 👿
He drew so well in the match!

Link to those dice? I have the light brown ones but these reddish ones are super nice!
They're from a Dutch toy shop.
