BIZARRE! Airplane Graveyard of Bangkok + Routes Asia 2023

- I visited Thai Airways restaurant in Bangkok. A lot of used airplane seats and parts turned into furniture which makes the place unique. The food price was very reasonable too. After lunch, I joined my friend Rena in showing me the airplane graveyard in Bangkok. In the middle of the city, there are 747 and MD-80 abandoned. Unfortunately, when we arrive at the graveyard, the planes were gone! They became the ghost planes of Bangkok!
Next, I followed Patee, who is launching a new airline called Really Cool Airlines to another airplane in the middle of the night market. This airplane is a L1011 Tristar from Thai Sky Airlines which I have flown on it once. It is now a restaurant and cocktail bar in the middle of ChangChui market.
Next, I visited Routes Asia 2023 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I went behind the scenes to speak with airlines, airports, and tourism authorities about their desire to reconnect in Asia and what’s new in their network strategies.
Take a look at the video with many great insights from airlines such as Finnair, Fiji Airways, STARLUX Airlines, Thai Lion Air and airports such as Melbourne Airport, Edmonton International Airport (YEG), and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority all wanting to expand their Asia presence.
The event is hosted by Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT).

Sam, This was an incredible video. It's interesting to see how Airlines negotiate with the Airports. I've been to Thailand 17 times and there's always something new to see. I'm Retired from the Military and spent 20 years in the Aviation industry. From F-14's in the U.S. Navy to CH-46's, CH-53's, Huey's and Cobras in the U.S. Marine Corps. Your videos are awe-inspiring and very well planned out. I'm always learning and seeing something new from your videos. Keep them coming.

Hey Sam wow man that was an EPIC looking day especially the airplane graveyard and the 747 restaurant type idea! Especially with all the awesome old Thai Airways stuff like the 747 engine spinners and tire tables! What a great idea and an old L-1011 restaurant or bar type setup is also awesome. I cannot wait to visit Thailand 🇹🇭 and on Thai Airways someday to see these epic places!

Back Then,I Thought It Was Actually A DC-10 And I Begged Mom To Let Me Go Inside. I Never Did. So,Seeing This And You Going Into That L-1011 That I Grew Up With Just Makes My Heart. ❤

Although it may look bizarre, they're (Thai) really find way to reuse and preserve those aircraft frames and seats to something useful, rather than to rot or sold to scrap... I really love the resourcefulness here... 🤩

Good to see the airlaines mostly comming back, but with 2 to 3 times the previous prices, it makes it now unaffordable for most to fly at this stage.

There’s a cafe using recycled aircraft parts as furnitures in near Seletar Airport in Singapore. Even the walkway/passageway is runway lookalike!
