Refs weren’t going to call PI that last play unless Bama tackled our guy. Last play should’ve been some kind of rollout or 50/50 ball to the corner and not a timing route. Not only was the ball not placed well and the route off, that timing would’ve had to be perfect in that situation. Either that or back to a misdirection play similar to the Donovan TD but instead to Moose or Achane even

Thanks, Woodlands Aggie. Much appreciated! We didn't lose this game as much as we just simply ran out of time.
I was there in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Section NN, row 26 (waaaaaayy up there, as a matter of fact!) On that last drive - and especially when Evan Stewart caught that miraculous pass! - lemme tell you: the oxygen left the stadium. I'll give it to the Bama fans; they are loud and raucous for the most part. But on that drive?... nervousness filled the air. Their dB level fell precipitously.
Reason?... WE GOT THEIR ATTENTION. AGAIN! And with a whole army of 18 yr olds, to boot! We can coulda-woulda-shoulda the ending six ways to Sunday, but the fact remains: we held our own against the mighty Crimson Tide in their own house. We even caused them to make out of character mistakes heretofore never seen in modern Bama football: four turnovers, two missed FG (that were chip-shots btw), two unsportsmanlike conduct calls... this is NOT Bama football. But it happened during our game. Did the Bama players just forget about us?... not prepare? I don't think so. The Occam's Razor is this: we - the Aggies - caused that mental mayhem in Tuscaloosa.
Summation: they're rattled. I'll double guarantee you: they are rattled. And worried. No we didn't get the big W... but just like Carroll Shelby had to explain to Henry Ford II: "... but on our last lap, we clocked 218 MPH down the Mulsanne Straight. Now, in all his years of racing, old Enzo (Ferrari) ain't never seen anything move that fast. And now he knows without a doubt we're faster than he is. ... And that's what he's thinking about right now. That man is scared to death..."
Bama is to Ferrari what Texas A&M is to Shelby's Ford GT 40. Even as they saw a final pass go incomplete at the Bama pylon by the boys in maroon and white, "they ain't never seen anything move that fast."
    They know we're coming. Gig'em, Aggies!!👍

King cost A&M the game with the pick right before the half. Otherwise it would’ve been 20 - 21 with A&M making a field goal and winning the game.

-For those trying to criticize Haynes King, you can go pound sand. The kid played hurt the entire 2nd half, he fought and clawed. BAMA was in the backfield all night. He showed toughness, grit and perseverance. He was almost practically in tears at the end of the game, which shows he's got heart. He's a great character kid. I would hire him in a heartbeat to work for me.
-Also, I keep hearing "If Bryce Young was playing, the game would have been over by halftime...", etc. That's ridiculous. Bryce Young played the entire game last year and the Aggie defense rattled him all night as BAMA lost to the Aggies.
-The last play should have been the same misdirection play to the TE to Green that scored a TD earlier.

Some idiots believe that these kids get up in the morning on game day and make a decision to play poorly. All of these kids are great players. Some are just better than others. They are good or they would not be there. In many respects coaches are at fault for poor performance. I have a feeling that the team has not been effectively prepared for the games they have played until The Alabama game. Fisher should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail for the last play call of the game.

I thought Haynes made great strides in this game. Not perfect, but huge strides forward. HUGE! He had not only the #1 team in the land to contend with, he had a large contingent of those Aggie folks, as well, who were against him. (Ahem, the folks you're calling out here.) Yet, Haynes kept his nose to the grindstone. What's more, he kept his grit and composure. People forget: we WERE 26 point underdogs in this game... and we were in position to actually win the game in the final seconds?? And to rag him on that? That's Bad Bull in my day.
I'm anxious to see his growing maturity and skill on the field. Gig'em, Aggies!

@@johnrion3232 Seriously?... Was Haynes or Jimbo responsible for Muhsin Mohamed's drop in the red zone, the picture-perfect pass that Haynes threw to him on the crossing route on a 3rd down and 7? The success of that play would have given us a 1st down at the Bama 12 yard line, where we had a lot of options for scoring. Here:
      ua-cam.com/video/F7KtLGpEy3U/v-deo.html
That's not a knock on Moose; he played a helluva game. But it shouldn't be a knock on Haynes either because he, too, played a helluva game. Criticism of the coach is generally fair in my book; after all, he's getting paid for the work (and handsomely at that). Yet, Jimbo has put us in winning positions many times over the last four seasons, so I'm giving him a little slack, too.
Let's just say that we see things differently. (I've been an Aggie for almost 50 years now, and there's been a consistent mantra: the backup QB is the most favored player of the team. Well... that's "sugar plum fairies dancing in their heads" type stuff. We have a starter for a reason.)

@@cottonclark897 I'm with you. I'm class of '87, and back then, you supported your team through thick and thin. I feel kids today are too soft and give up too quickly. It's all about "me" and not the team. They take each loss personal. So instead of supporting the players through their mistakes, they feel the loss is a direct reflection of themselves and are calling for change each time things do go their way.
