I´m from The Czech Republic and I have to say, that all nation is still in absolute shock, this is absolutely heartbreaking and cruel, imagine all the parents waiting for their children to come home for Christmas... We are devastated.
There are crazy people everywhere. What is most shocking to me that it is legal to possess such rifles in the Czech Republic.
@@solinvictus6587 You have to own a firearm licence (which is not easy to get), but still you cannot buy any gun you wish. There are some groups of guns according to their heaviness and caused damage so owning a firearm licence doesnt allow you to buy any gun but a certain group you are allowed to. Every gun a legal "shooter" buys has to be registered so I am very curious what the police will say about how and where he got these guns and if the owned them legally.
Well it is you all day of mourning. May your Country and University see change.
Love to you all in the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 from Outback Australia🇦🇺. Our prayers are with you 🙏💖🎄

Violence and mental health issues have been a problem for most of human civilization, because our society is sick, backwards and corrupted by greed. Our priorities are not what they should be in order to be considered a successful or intelligent species. Now there are more people on the planet than ever before, and most of them are ignorant, which is also causing a great deal of stress not only on our environment but on the quality of life for everyone.

Let's find out why this student did what he did and think how to prevent it.
These kinds of acts are not "motiveless". Raising security alone will not stop the core issues; it will just band-aid the worst effects while making everyone else's life worse.
He said that he hated the world and was inspired by the Russian girl who shot two people at her school earlier this month.
Agree! This is a symptom of something deeper underneath. But it needs to be framed as such. However, because of the natural trauma caused, people will just vilify and shame, as they should but there needs to be social examination of younger people in particular at these institutions.
It's a problem worldwide for universities and schools specifically. There is something unsettling, unwelcoming, and divisive about the modern learning culture as it stands today. So much improvement can be made.
"Let´s find out why this student did...and think how to prevent it" do you seriously think the Czech police aren´t working nonstop to do exactly that?

When the days get longer, we will at least feel better.
American cultural influence. We need to decouple from the US.
rather biased and superficial reporting. its far from easy to get gun in Czechia, the tests are thorough and not easy to pass. and for the security- in Czechia is not common to lock public buildings and install metal detectors everywhere, its not American high school.
this was apparently lone wolf attack, and perpetrator clearly developed some mental issues, individual incidents like this are impossible to predict and they cant be prevented, such tragedies unfortunately gonna happen from time to time in every society, and if Czechia despite its constitution and centuries long traditions ban or further limits access to guns there just gonna be knife instead of gun attack sometime in the future( or they get inspired in Germany and use truck as ram into ppl)
And for the security- its university for gods sake, for adults many of whom may have multiple reason to visit it without actually being student, and its publicly funded university, too, its really sad that western journalists now deem normal for schools and public building to be treated as nurseries at best and high security jails at worst...

Most of the footage is from journalists or police officers. One's job is literally to film, the other has a camera on his clothes.
Carrying on about a 'lack' of security at the University is nonsensical. It's a university, not a prison. Besides which, the shooter was a student so exactly what 'security' would have stopped a student from entering their own campus?
That the cops didn't know what guns he had until after the event when they went to his house IS problematic. They should know about every citizen that has a gun, how many, and why. Having a stockpile of guns is clearly a red flag.
What makes you think only prison needs security? Every big university should have securities at least at gates.
@@ashiqiqbal4385 Try answering the second part. How would 'security' have prevented a student from entering campus?
The concern about the 'lack' of security is just a fear response said in the immediate aftermath.

Theres 10 European countries that have a higher rate of mass shootings per capita than the US, right? Look it up "mass shooting rate per capita by country". And thats just compared to the US average. If we break it down to US states you'll see that about half of US states had only 1 or no mass shootings in their entire history.
@@DesertStateInEU judging mass shooting by capita does not make sense. Norway by that standard is the most dangerous country by mass shootings, but that stems off of one single shooting. Norway had no mass shootings for years after that. You see the problem? And your comment does not actually relate in any way to what I said, what I said was that America has mass shootings every week. It’s actually much more than that, in 2023 there were 632 mass shootings. Ergo my point is completely valid, and you have not proven anything with what you have said
@@DesertStateInEU also, what do individual states have to do with my point? I’m comparing the entire country. And your information isn’t even correct, 13 states had 0-1 mass shootings this YEAR, not half. So many other states have upwards of 20-30 this year, which is horrible.
More than 2 such incidents take place every single day in the US, according to the official data. The US has more than 700 every single year.
@@omi685 yep even crazier then
Bodycam footage isn't chaotic enough so they divide it into three panels to make it totally incomprehensible.
Since the shooter idnt mulsim or muddle eastern the act isn't called terrorist.
How silly
Condolences to victims families.
It's not called terrorism because as far as we know, the motives were not political or religious. It was an isolated incident.
@@alphahale7668As far as we know, he's white, not mslim or muddle east descendant, or any non-hwhite color skin.
Man... the usual western bs
why are they not telling us where he is from?
He was a Czech, not a foreigner
They told. He was from a nearby Village, and where is this village ? near Prague in Czech.
Picture of the gunman? Does prague provide that? Social media posts that would have indicated their state of mind?
Yes, if you can read Czech there is more information available at this time.
Why on earth would you want the picture of the gunman? He was a young Czech. I agree with Jacinda Ardern: "We won´t even give them their names." There are much more important people fighting for their lives in hospitals now. People who teach languages, contribute to international cooperation, help catch criminals by translating international arrest orders.
University? Security barrier?? That‘s crazy, -of course not.
😢 GOD CONFORT THE HEARTHS OF THE FAMILY'S INVOLVE ON THIS TRAGEDY 😢.
