Hey I put a Dolton clutch kit on my 2020 can am outlander 570 mossy oak edition I used the yellow spring for the secondary and the green on primary I didn't use the rivets yet there is a big difference in power but it's like it is all on the lower end my top speed was about 115 kmh now it's 80 maybe 85 but when taking off its real snappy should I add the 0.85 weights or the 1.85 weights I have 27s on the bike but there on the heavy side..or should I switch out a spring...any help or advice is greatly appreciated..
Not being smart ass but follow the set up instructions. Probably yoirack of rivets.
So you can reuse the bolt on the primary but not the secondary correct? Also do you use blue loctite when putting the bolts back in?
Not supposed to reuse either. Torque to yield. However we do.
Your website doesn't mention the Hunterworks belt works on the outlander 650. Is that correct?
That’s not correct it needs a update and 650 as well as the rest of the outlanders all the same belt

XTP or XMR? But if XTP just the kit in the description, then pick tire size, we choose the right kit based off that and send to you

@@gavindayholos2197 They sell it separately so that means it does not matter. Just when you are doing it, a good idea
What ia the theiry with the weights/ rivets on the fingers?
to give it adjustability for varying condition, such as larger tires, sand or high elevation
@@Hunterworks I understand what rhe clutch kit does but what specifically do the weights do? Higher or lower RPM Engagement?
@@dsmtsi we are adjusting shift rpm for those conditions. Engagement rpm is not changing that much

What is the purpose of the clutch kit? I have a 20 outlander 450 dps and the stock primary rattles like a tin can. Sounds like crap and has done it since the day I brought it home. Couldn't test drive since dealer had barely a parking lot to load it in. I already adjusted the washers in between the weights and even added the washers on the bolts that hold them on. Made a fraction of a difference but still there. I've narrowed it down to being play in the rollers that the weights ride on. I'm here because I'm looking for a way to improve the atv and get rid of that horrid noise. It's a very poor design and my local can am dealer said it's 'normal'. As normal as the insides rattling around inside a catalytic converter I told them. Also, that black cover gets super hot. Nothing is obstructing the inlet/outlet and it's hot enough to cause skin irritation to my leg. I'm here because there is next to nothing for info on the 450s. This is my first atv I bought brand new and I hate it because of the issues I just mentioned.
I'm worried about the heat in behind the clutch cover because I don't want my belt to wear down prematurely or break while I'm out using it. I don't beat it up at all. I use it to run around my property and only took it trail riding for first time a week ago. That's when the heat issue showed itself to me. Otherwise this thing is taken care of and kept clean. @@jdonovan9581 I would have to hear it and without looking at a parts diagram, I would not know about a 450, not sure what clutches are in one of those.

I bought an assassin stage 3 clutch kit with helix and destroyed my rollers And obliterated my belt causing damage to secondary and primary clutch
Stick with Dalton
Assassins makes good tuning but shitty clutching imo
