The clutch holding tool for these models, EPI just used an OEM tool. For many of the other Can Am models EPI has the holding tools and almost any other clutch tools for most brands. Best thing to do is call EPI at 218-829-6036 and they can figure out what you need.
Some of the Can Am models use springs with tabs and some are flat and smooth on the ends. All of the EPI kits with use flat smooth springs. The factory does this to achieve a little more torsional load or preload on the spring. The EPI springs usually run a little stiffer then stock to get the faster backshift and help reset the clutch faster.
hey friend I have a problem with my 2016 can-am 1000 let's see if you can help me. The shift lever became hard, then one of the clutch springs broke! I changed the part myself but now it doesn't want to apply the speeds. stays in one speed
Chances are you have an issue with your shifter linkage or an actual transmission. Its not very common for a primary spring to break so it did you make have a worn our primary clutch. If its the secondary spring usually the only way they have issues is if your bolt comes loose and the clutch starts to come off. If you shut the machine off and it shift normal then its probably the clutches. If it still shifts hard or wont change gears then its your linkage or the tranny.
The Arctic Cat 400 clutches are a totally different style clutch then what Can Am uses. We do have a video on a Arctic Cat 450 on our website that you can see at www.epiperformance.com. The Artic Cat 450 and the Kymco Maxxer are the same machine and would use very similar clutches to the 400. Hope that helps.
Hi do u have a part number and where I can buy the clutch lock up tool online?i can’t find it anywhere ,I assume it’s same one for 2016 renegade xmr 1000
All the outlander clutches should be the same. Maybe some replaced your clutch with an aftermarket clutch? The only ones that will look different from the factory is the new 2025 models that just got released.
We bought ours through the local dealer. Some dealers wont sell you the tools so you might want to look online. We sell the clutch puller for all the machines if you need one.
Amigo buenas una prenda donde se consigue la llave de soltar los dos poleas
2018 can am commander 1000R is the same process. Just an FYI
7:45 what do you do if you didn’t mark it?
Then all you can do is put it back together. In most cases you wont see any difference unless there is some bad wear in the clutches.
Whats the main reason to change the weights in the primary cutch. ? And also where did u purchase the kit for the new springs and weights ?

The OE Can Am number is 529-036-238. We don't sell them but I would search for the number on line.

Yes a lot better low end and mid range power, faster back shift and throttle response and grip the belts better.
