I really wish we had a “heart” button to push...love hearing about your bison. I’ve always loved seeing them on rare occasions in a field or on an animal show. So sad there aren’t more in North America. Thanks for doing all you are doing to raise healthy animals. Can’t wait to see the babies. Awesome videos too!

IN MY VIEW A great big thanks to you for sharing your story about why you have your bison. Being a teacher explains why you’re able to communicate so clearly what is in your head to your NEW pupils. Us, your audience.
Hey Dusty, I have have a love of bison for longer than I have been married (30 3/4 yrs.) We were looking for 50+ acres but we settled on 5 acres to be near our daughter and grandsons. We are still looking for 20+ acres near us to possibly raise bison or cattle if my lovely wife is too worried about working with the bison. Keep up your good work with them. We need more people like you.
You are doing a great job with your bison ,taking care them . I know I've seen coaches teaches sports, and now I see someone that is a coach for Bison ,you knows about bison and you are teaching others how to raise bison ,great job and continue the great work of. Your name will become Coach Bison . Thanks for sharing the details. God Bless You , your family and those healthy bison
I just subscribed thanks to Arms Family Homestead who had a video of working your Bison on their channel. I know next to nothing about running a ranch or working cattle or bison so I joined to learn more. I am a retired research chemist from the pharmaceutical industry but I grew up on a small town in Northern California, have also always loved animals, and respected those who worked on farms and ranches for a living as well as back to basics lifestyle in what now sometimes seems like a bit of a crazy world that we live in. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Thank you for sharing that Dusty. In the beginning I got nervous with you standing there with your back to the bison. I was afraid that something could happen and you wouldn't see it because you were concentrating on the camera and not what they were doing, but then seeing you feeding one i started tp relax about you in with them. LOL i look forward to more video with your bison. I love that scene in Dances With Wolves were they are chasing the heard of Tatonka during the hunt and they are running amongst the herd! Just an amazing scene. Hey that reminds me Dusty did you ever check out that Appaloosa Stallion " Earthquake Ike " on UA-cam cutting a Bison from the herd? It's an awesome piece of video working the bison. It's taken I believe up in Canada. Good luck Dusty and thank you for posting!😃🏇🐎🐴
I grew up in New York, The Bronx zoo. From the age of 5 I was always interested in the American Bison ( Buffalo as the were called in the 1950"s) so glad I get to watch your videos and get to see these beautifully majestic animals up close.
Hello, great video, thank you for sharing. I really enjoy your videos and seeing your bison. Keep up the great work. Have a Blessed Day **HUGS & PRAYERS** from Kelly and critters at Piney Haven Homestead.
You should be proud of your accomplishment . Those beautiful creatures look like they are taken good care of, and you have a beautiful ranch as well . Keep up the great work, and continue to bring us along with you. Thanks for sharing your passion . 👍
I recently lost my position as a business analyst but I've been working on the side for a couple of years as a knife/scissor/tool sharpener and sharpening has become my full-time gig since then and it's treated me well. I've always had a distant interest in ranching, particularly bison, and I've been looking for some opportunities on operations like this to get into ranch hand work. Wonderful to see someone preserve the native animals and keep the system going as it was before industrialized man showed up. Kudos!
Thankful to hear of all your prior experience. I had a classmate in Michigan that raised Bison for several years. It was always fun to drive past his farm and see a Mom and a calf in the corral in front of the barn. They have a reputation of being aggressive and he had a very high fence(people proofing), and then a row of bison proof fence...
I was getting nervous at first part of the video...The bulls were acting up and I wasn't sure you noticed it. Glad you did.... Thank you for sharing the story of your beings and your love for Bison(it shows). Good video ,PLEASE,keep them coming. I do enjoy learning about them. Thank you.
This is awesome! And dream big! Colorado released a very small herd a few years back on the prairie. They now a herd of about 70+ and are running out of room now due to their abundant numbers. Best of luck! They are beautiful and amazing creatures!
Dusty, Beautiful Starter Herd...You are doing what you enjoy...that is the most important part...Daniel needs a bison, don’t you think?? Hugs from Kennebunk Maine....did you know that Maine use to have Elk?? I would love to see Elk brought back here in Maine. There use to be a Red Deer farm up the road that would sell the antlers to Japan for big $$$$
Enjoyed the video and learning a little about your life and how you acquired your herd. I appreciate you taking on raising Bison. As you know they are a big part of our American history. They sure are beautiful animals. Eleanor seems like a gentle cow. Thank you for taking the time to produce the videos. Y'all take care and God bless.
Thanks for sharing your path in life and how you came to love bison. They are frequently misunderstood and feared. They need champions that will help bring back their numbers.
You are already doing a great job,i see how you like them and I how they so close to you already ,it good to work with animals and now they are in a safe place where there is no creatures to mess with them.

Hi Dusty, just found your channel after watching another farming video. Glad you had the courage to follow your dreams and what you enjoy. The pictures you had of the big bull were amazing that such a big Bison would eat out of your hands. So great that you have a close relationship with your Bison and that they are people friendly. Looking forward to more videos to come.

Really delighted to find you. I have been a city girl all my life (78), but I love animals. You have a new faithful subscriber. Keep up the good work. I’ve enjoyed a bunch of your content now. Thanks!
It's nice to see people wants to take care animals and I see you already don't want to turn your back on them you and the animals are blessed .Great Video thanks for sharing
I read somewhere that the massive aquifer in the plains states is drying up and if it does and collapses it will never refill. It is my understanding that the bison, actually the lack of bison, is the root cause. Their massive grazing and fertilizing (poop) had/has some sort of impact on the water and now that the bison are gone....so is the water! Its not replacing itself at the rate it used to.
Good afternoon Dusty , thank you for the video and you talking about what inspired you!! . I did the same with Hereford 's here in Hereford UK . When you live your dream life just gets better, anyway Take Care and catch you next time 👍😎🇬🇧.
