I can tell she was nervous when she 1st started too during the Chun Li performance but towards the middle she started feeling it. Always loved her songs but she never been a good performer to me.
As far as the culture appropriation... she always give them props. I also just learned her great grandfather was Asian. It’s more of an admiration rather than an appropriation. I like how she interacts with her fans. Encourages them to go to college and even donates money to them to help with school loans. She doesn’t encourage them to get a sugar daddy... Your analogy makes 0 sense. Nicki has Asian heritage, therefore she's got every right to tie into an ASIAN character. If a white person did a Wakanda performance, that IS inappropriate, cause said person would be all white, no black and that would be taking from a culture they don't have any ties to. Nicki has Asian ties, her grandfather is half Japanese. Everyone knows Trinidad and Jamaica have probably the highest 2 black/asian mixtures in the Caribbean. You needa google the history of Chinese-Trinidadian and so and Japanese-Trinidadian folks, cause there are plenty. It's common.

Truth Hurts has a whole music video for “Addictive” that has an Indian theme but I don’t recall them coming for her, nor Christina Milian for “Dip It Low”’s Asian theme and performances.
