    Off topic, but did you see the Redman aluminum motherboard mod? I ordered one, but it won't ship until august.

      That's one mod i'm going to skip. Making this pack heavier is going to break my back hahahaha! I also have my aux speaker jacks integrated with the stock motherboard and I'm too lazy to figure out how I'd make that work on the thick aluminum one. It looks really really good though! Excited for you to get it!

    I don't get?......
    I really wonder about haslab. It's like they do half (blank) projects.
    If they can do this for 400,....offer a 800 or 1000 version and go all out.
    To haslab,....offer tiers. Meaning, basic product....and for people who can afford it "Ultimate" versions. The upgrade this guy did should have been how it came from haslab. Why not just charge an extra hundred or two and do it right. At least give the option... Or.....AGAIN.....for the few who can afford it,....offer spec'd out tier version. An ultimate collectors addition. Sound, lights, metal body for the wand and pack, SFX....one so good you'd be afraid to take it out the house. Comes in packaging that you want to keep not the bs cardboard after thought stuff.

    Yet another upgrade I'll be copying LOL
    I'm curious why you soldered the wires directly to the speaker, and didn't integrate another JST connection instead while you were at it, just to simplify life in the future if you end up doing more work in there

    • @SquadCollector
      @SquadCollector  Рік тому +2

      Mainly because the speaker is going to be there permanently. I don't plan on moving it. Next step is a Ninjatunes Board or a GPstar. If that's the case the speaker will be replaced with the whole kit hahaha. THis is a never ending project

    This is a great mod. Yet, the collector value of the pack may have been negatively affected.

      You can purchase a non destructive mount on Etsy to mount the speaker instead :)

    It doesn't require an amp to run? If there was a way that wasn't so invasive I'd be interested in doing this.

    • @SquadCollector
      @SquadCollector  Рік тому +1

      No amp needed. It is using the factory Haslab amp built into the board. You Can get a 3D printed bracket and you won't need to do anything but connect the speaker wires.

    Another great upgrade. Any thoughts on the neutrona wand speaker and ability to upgrade that one?

    • @SquadCollector
      @SquadCollector  Рік тому +2

      Thank you. WIth the neutrona wand it's almos timpossible unless we relocate the speaker position. Where it is it has to be thin so the wand mechanism can extend and retract. It would be totally possible to do it if the wand was fixed open.

      @@SquadCollector I was thinking the same thing. Simply not enough room for a decent driver.

    Whats the other thing youve soldered onto the speaker?

    • @SquadCollector
      @SquadCollector  3 місяці тому

      It's just a JST connector for a AUX externally mounted bluetooth speaker

  • @thegrailhunter

    Great tip. I just ordered the speaker. At 25:07 you talk about getting rid off the t-connector. What is the purpose of the block wire that connects with the t-connector?
    Thanks for sharing all your experiences with us.

    Yet another great video. I have the upgraded ninjatunes board with built in amp. That makes the stock speaker sound even better so I can only imagine how good it would sound with the dayton speaker

    I bought a little amp to put in mine, with two little speakers, but it uses a stereo jack. I guess going from a mono signal to a stereo one creates interference or something, because it made it sound like really loud cr*p. I'mma try this one, 'cause it sounds great!

    • @SquadCollector
      @SquadCollector  Рік тому +2

      An amp with this speaker would be super loud!

    I did this mod this week, Bought the same speaker and followed what you did in the video, but for some reasons, the sound seems more muffled with the new speaker that with the old one

    • @SquadCollector
      @SquadCollector  Рік тому +4

      Muffled or deeper? You can check if the speaker surround isn't pressing up against the mount. It needs to move freely. It would definitely muffle the sound.
