I love the dedication that this team puts in. Now I imagine these guys all bought the proton packs when the Haslab was active, so they spent... What was it? $400? Now if you want it from ebay you are gonna spend $1200+... Imagine paying all that money just to say, "This isn't quite good enough." It's real dedication.

I got the 2.5” speaker, can I wire it up while still using the D cell batteries?

Yes, I don't see that being a problem. The whole system is designed around 5volts
so, these speakers will work with the stock sound board and power of the haslab packs? Will it be compatible with a ninja tunes board if i upgrade that later?
No sure, but it shouldn't be an issue.
What are these little solderless connectors called?

hey what part of norcal are you guys from? I've been a lifelong GB fan but just started getting into modifying my haslab pack, im in norcal too
Our chapter is in the small town of Ukiah, CA.
Okay, so my pack is still completely stock on the electronics side. I'm not that good at modifying electrical components, and I want to keep my pack stock for the most part. So, my question is, will the stock board in the pack, along with the batteries, be enough power to allow this speaker you've shown to work?
Theoretically, it should work fine without any other modifications. But I do highly recommend the keep alive mod.
So is that an upgraded board or the one that came stock in the pack?
