- Until deep into the night Vincent Keymer, Ding Liren and Daniel Fridman played for the match against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave for the third place in the finals! He won against the world champion Ding Liren twice. This tie-break was very nerve-racking for all players. A relieved Keymer gave us an interview on stage after his victory in the tie-breaks at the GRENKE Chess Classic 2024.

The GRENKE Chess Open and Classic 2024 take place in the Schwarzwaldhalle in Karlsruhe. Over 2500 chess players from all around the world play in the open chess tournament while the best chess players in the world Magnus Carlsen, Ding Liren, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Vincent Keymer, Richard Rapport and Daniel Fridman play in the prestigious GRENKE Chess Classic. We are looking forward to celebrate our passion for a whole week.

There is a stand still after VK broke the German Rating Record with 2743. An he has a girl friend. His parents are musicians, so he is grown up in a good society. He has also good options for his live beyond chess.
