Thank you for documenting this. The Turkish State committed unmentionable atrocities and crimes against humanity there. They destroyed over 400 historic monuments. The area they specifically targeted for gentrification & destruction was the former Armenian Neighborhood (Gavur Mahallesi).
I agree, war crimes and crimes against humanity have been perpetrated against the Kurdish populations. I find it disturbing when I see in the latest news that Recep Erdoğan won't allow Finland and Sweden join NATO because they 'harbour terrorists'. Terrorists in who's eyes?! It is a travesty of justice when a war monger like Erdoğan can make demands like this.
Erdoğan is a thorn in Europe's side and if he keeps pressing then Turkey could fall back into the bosom of middle eastern dictatorship.
