I have Federal HST 124 grain +P for my Beretta92FS it's my favorite HD round before choosing it I looked up the track record of loads issued to PDs around the USA & that one is one of the best.
The recoil of a Beretta 92 is about as soft a recoil you could possibly get out of a 9mm. I own an M9 Beretta and it feels like a Cadillac compared to most pistols I have fired. It is great for shooters who are not strong enough to rack the average slide. If it is still too hard for you just replace the hammer spring with a 12 or 16lb spring and replace the slide spring with a 11lb and then just about anyone should comfortably rack the slide. Remember, the lighter the weight of the slide, the heavier the springs needs to be in order to stop the slide from slamming into the rear of the gun. Small guns like the M&P Shield (which I own) are light pistols with very strong slide springs and are quite snappy with the recoil. I had to install a "Recover Tactical Slide Rack Assist" to the back of the slide because my bad thumbs could not rack the slide without it. No problems with the Beretta though. I enjoyed the video! Thx. God Bless!
I just added the Hyrda Shock Deep 135 gr to the Hornady Critical Duty 135 gr for outside the house carry. I don't use them for home defense because I don't want over penetration into neighbors' homes.
I love the berretta 92 myself but I have to say polymer guns are lighter, don't rust when carrying them and sweating on them, and most polymer guns are significantly cheaper than all metal pistols. I don't like polymer pistols better on paper but I do like them better in practice for concealed carry
Picked up a few boxes the other day through the mail. Rather go with my HSTs but out here in CA, a lot of companies won't ship to this state and local store inventory is sub par. Thanks for the video!
I was issued the Law Enforcement Only Federal Hydra Shok 124 grain +P+. It was okay, one of my colleagues shot three times all three hits 7 yards away center mass. Only one bullet stayed in. The bullet was recovered from the opposite side under the skin mushroomed. The County PD switched over the Winchester SXT in 124 grain +P. The bad guy was obese on drugs. Those three shots ventilated him. Proper shot placement will work on a determined criminal out to cause harm.

Hydra-Shok Deep is the 135 gr instead of 124gr afaik . 15-18" penetration in ballistic gel . 👍

Very true and much appreciated.
I put a Wolff 15lb recoil spring in my Beretta92FS now it feels like a 22LR.

I would say the penetration isn't that much more on the 135 to worry that much
Beretta m9, my favorite 9mm pistol also. No plastic crap for me.

Can you bone test the 9mm 135 Grain Hydra Shok Deep out of a 3.5-3.8" Barrel?
