This video is so informative. You did it step by step. It really answered all my questions about making a 9 patch. Thank you.
Laura, thank-you for being so precise and doing everything in detail. Telling the "why" you need to do it helps us remember to do it. ;) You are a great teacher for the beginner and for us oldies that have become a bit hap-hazard with our quilting. This is the first of your videos I have seen, but I have a feeling I will be watching many more. We appreciate your knowledge and experience. Please, keep the tutorials coming!
Thank you so very much for you ultra kind words of encouragement. I try to teach the way I like to learn. And I'm still learning! For most part, I'm self-taught by the home school of Trial and Error!
Welcome to the Crazy house! We are so glad you are here
THANK YOU
Completely agree with the pinning! It has made a world of difference in my outcome! I am a happy person!
Yes -- I'd rather take extra time with pinning than having to rip seams! Thanks so much for watching
Nice
Oh my goodness, I have not seen your channel for a long time. You just happen to pop up on my screen.
Awesome! Thank you for your precision and explanation and going slowly and thoroughly!❤
Thanks for this excellent teaching video. I am so impressed with your patience and explanation of "how to" complete the blocks.
Oh thank you -- sometimes I think I go into too much detail so I appreciate your comment so very much.
Sweet!
Where do I get one of those awesome cutter ruler
Walmart sells them
You’re a great speaker. Very informative video. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I have one of those cutters they're wonderful to cut two and a half inch wide strips especially
Glad I found you. I am a beginner. I had a written instructions but I learn by watching. I had made 2 9 quilt squares but my corner is off a bit all the time. I thought I have to open it flat and match it that way but can’t make it to match. I will try your way. Thanks. I am a new subscriber.
Thank you for all tips. (It was more difficult to see what you were doing when the fabric wasn't in much of the viewing area.)
Thank you for your observation -- we are working to improve the "filming" and editing of our videos. Planning to do much better in 2019! Thank you so very much for watching.
Very nice joins!
Thank you! Lots of practice and still mess them up from time to time!
Thanks
Must take years at this speed tonfinish a quilt
Please please tell me the name and brand of the ruler/cutter.

Do you edit your videos at all? Not much of a learning process if we dont see everything
What size are the squares
What quilting groups do you recommend on Facebook?
Over the last few years, I have been part of many block swapping groups and have really enjoyed them. Most of the have disbanded due to covid and I have decided to take a break myself. Of course, I do recommended our group, Sewing and Crocheting For Beginners m.facebook.com/groups/2049729035302494
your camera needs to be set up in a way that we can see everything
I wish the camera would pull back so that I can see what you're doing.
We are learning better methods as we go. I am sorry for the difficulties. Stick around as we grow. Thanks for watching!
Your camera is not showing your steps -the material and how you’re laying fabrics together. What the viewers are seeing is mainly your cutting mat. Otherwise, this is a good technique
Sorry about our technical problems. Thanks for watching
Its the first tutorial i watch which the camera is positioned in a strange manner.
My word. What is taking so long ? This could have been done 3 times by now.
I know i am late but i do like you teaching and i have learned a lot i am not a perfect sewer by all means but i keep trying i am doing a crumb quilt and a crazy log cabin you are wonderful teacher is there an email
Thank you so much. I am glad I have been able to help. I still consider myself a beginner and I seem to learn something new almost every video. Many times I try things that get mentioned in the comments and I get so excited about the new trick I have to make a video and share it we you. I am having so much fun. Thank you for watching and being my motivation. You can find our contact information in the description.
Girlfriend are you from tennessee? I'm and old Tenn. girl myself. I was born and raised about 2 hours from Knoxville
Raised on eastern side of Davidson county!
Could not see what you were doing
Can'T see what your doing
sorry about that. We are working to improve the filming and editing of our videos. Appreciate you letting us know about a viewing issue.
Go full screen and keep watching the whole thing. Laura is a great teacher.
@@joannmccraw7235 Thank you so much for your kind words. We continue trying to improve the filming.
Your camera IS NOT showing nothing please review the video before you put it on UA-cam
I'm not sure what you mean. I edit each video before it is uploaded. I have rewatched the entire video after you comment and it is showing all the way through. Some times the angles may not be the best, but at no time is the camera showing nothing. Perhaps the problem is with your computer or internet provider. I hope you're able to get it corrected. Thank you for watching. Have a great day.
Pls read all the comments
@@hanaansari5975as I said sometimes the camera angle is off, but saying nothing is showing implies the scene is blank. Laura is an excellent sewist and does an excellent job of explaining what she is doing. It is very difficult to make sure the camera angles are perfect and cut an Sew at the same time. If you will also read all of the comments, you will find most people were able to understand what she was doing. I apologize that Laura is not a professional Hollywood camera operator, but she is an excellent sewist and teacher according to the other comments.
Not showing nothing means it’s showing everything!! Basic English grammer
