Jeep Gladiator JT And Wrangler JL Rear Locker Problems

Hi everyone. If you recall, a couple of weeks back I made a video on the towing capabilities of my 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The rear lockers light, started to flash. I also got a notification on my screen telling me I needed to have my rear lockers serviced. From what I was told, this is becoming a common problem with the new Gladiators and Wranglers.
Here is an updated video with what was done to fix the problem and all the information I was given by the Jeep dealership.

Mine just started doing this the other day. Stock Rubicon Axles 2020.

I had the same problem. The dealer replaced the rear end. Thankfully it was under warranty. They were going to keep it 6 weeks to get the rear end in stock.

I'm waiting on a new rear axle too. Hoping since mine was re-geared by Jeep dealership, that they cover the re-gear install, since its their product failure.

I have the same problem on my JL. It just started today. Mine is re-geared though. Which I don't think matters except for the fact that if they replace the axle they won't regear it.

My 2020 Jeep Gladiator is at the dealership for same issue. They say 2 weeks, but not confident.

now the lockers are failing? What's going on with the rear ends? The limited slip rear difs have had a lot of problems.

we had the same issue with our 2020 JL Rubicon. I feel that it was metal in the rear end setting of sensor. They replaced rear end in Aug 2020, still has roaring sound in rear end which they say will occur for a specific period of break in...I call BS, this is a brand new very expensive vehicle and should not have growling in the rear end. I am considering options if they dont make it right....Didn't buy this with intention of having to spend first year of ownership dealing with mechanical failures.

My gladiator is in the shop now with the same problem. It also started while I was towing a trailer. How long did it take to get your new rear end?

They diagnosed the problem a few weeks back. They had to order the rear-end and it was on back order. It only took them one day to install it once the part was in.

Did you say they had to drill holes? For what?
