Comparing Day Pass/Beach Club Options in Huatulco, Mexico

- We visit 4 hotels with day pass options, and one beach club in Huatulco to find out how they stack up against each other. We rate their food, drinks, pool, vibes, and beach.
Places we visited (some more than once):
Sea Soul - Beach Club
Secrets Huatulco - All inclusive day pass
Niru - All inclusive day pass
Camino Real - day pass
Quinta Bella - day pass

I love the Quinta Bella was there last year but we bought a condo in Santa Cruz so can’t wait tell June when we can move in
Chahue Beach is swimmable most of the time. We go there with our kids several times per week. It isn't ever good for small children though, because of the very small shelf to stand on.

Wow! We've been to that bay half a dozen times now. Four different resorts. Had no idea you could get day passes. And yes, we found Secrets the best as well.
Day passes are a great economical option, if you already have accomodations.
We will definitely be back to Huatulco again@@GeorgiaandDavidthis winter. Can't wait. Quick question....are those prices per person??

I would say that it is swimmable if you are a strong swimmer, it definitely has waves.

Do you recommend driving to get from place to place or getting a cab instead?
We mostly drove but did take a cab to Secrets since we were going to be enjoying the unlimited beverages. There is plenty of parking, most places, since many people don't drive.
When you did the night pass, how did you get back to town? Uber or taxi?
We took a taxi, there is a line of them waiting in front of the resort.

How much should we tip?
We have heard from many Mexicans that 10% is standard throughout the country but that in touristy areas visitors from the US have increased the standard to 15%.
When were you guys there? (month?)
We were there mid January til mid February.
can you get salads?
Yes. Be careful where though since the water isn't safe to drink.
Ooooo! Nice! We like beach clubs as long as they aren't all "boots-n-pants-n-boots-n-pants-n-boots-n-pants-n-boots-n-pants" awful loud music. 🤣 My favorite was the day pass at Secrets. 💖 But that view and the food looked fantastic at Quinta Bella. So, I was wondering if Niru got crowded BECAUSE there was a cruise ship in port?
None of the options were too "party" for us. The cruise ship left at 1pm and Niru stayed crowded till close at 5. We loved that there were so many options!
