Hi all, the neck is a first class lever but in the syllabus I teach the neck will not come up as a question and that is why it is not referred to in this video. Hope that clarifies.
Is the elbow the only one first-order lever system? What about the neck/head? The Fulcrum is the cervical spine, the effort is the neck extensor muscles, and the resistance is the anterior part of the skull/face. That can be said too about neck flexion.
What class lever is Plantar flexion in open chain when the person is standing with one knee at 90 and hip at 90 degrees? The fulcrum is the ankle joint, the effort is posterior to the joint and the resistance is anterior to the joint...thus, class 1 lever...hmmm another class 1? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you!!!
Hi, im struggling with a question. I wonder if you can help? So i load is 500N, and is 150mm from the fulcrum. An effort of 37.5 is applied to the other end. Determine the length of the beam? Many thanks
