@CyberpunkJordan Oh yeah, both the Sonic Boom and Mega Man comics got canceled right after, there was a random 3 month delay that December that lasted into March, and other strange things happened.
Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform should've helped "Zero" in Sonic and Mega Man Worlds Unite. However, it never happened. They wanted to get rid of Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform for some reason.
as far as Eggman's memories go it's how his new memories in this new world tell him how it happened in this new rewritten world, so even though it's not how WE saw it happen originally, it is how this Eggman saw it, so not too confusing of a retcon, I understand why they would do this

Some people say the incident is similar to the Capcom cluster’s VS events,but at least they create a separate world,not corrupt multiple ones.
Ah yes, the arc of "missed in-universe potential". And I say in-universe. Somehow it ignored everything Reboot Archie was trying. Including a weird avoidance of the Werehog. 9:30 I liked the anime-esque style from earlier on, but the mix of Gary Martin's unusual bad with the Reboot Archie "curse of the limited colouring in mainline" bothered me at the time. Actually, why didn't Boom include the Team Boom Sonic? If it was just "Two Megs, two Sons", it could solve at least some of the bloat and unintentional power-scaling-issues. But I wonder if there was no WU, if Reboot and Boom would have had more time to flesh out their casts. Like the issues that became 95-98 coming up earlier as a companion to celebrate the 75th Universe issue, or further hints at the Zombot Reboot plan.
ok you're over exaggerating, World's Unite had more than enough enjoyable and entertaining moments compared to the abominations and pointlessness of issues 150 and 151
@@amesstarline5482 ok Unite was more enjoyable than issues 150 and 151 but should be noted that even though those issues are horrible, the backup story to 151 was pretty decent, there you go, doesn't exactly flow all that great but at least it's accurate

This feels a bit like nitpicking, you don't devote enough time to any criticism to make it feel substancial. Shadow dies. Okay? And? Me personally, I find it to be one of the highlights. He dies like a hero, and it sets the stakes for the rest of the story. And I don't think "It's canon to the comics" and "It's not canon to the comics" can co-exist as criticisms.
pretty sure eggman is freed from whitespace by wily contacting him via chaos emerald. the version we see in worlds collide couldn't have happened because of the super genesis wave (wily contacts him during mecha sally etc etc). the time eater is even mentioned in worlds collide so it's clear that the rewriting of the past was already beginning to happen via the second genesis wave. the SGW only further altered the past, including the circumstances in which the crossover happened at all. also, issue 247 isn't canon to the reboot. while yes the freedom fighters do remember their past lives in countdown to chaos, those memories eventually fade away and the reboot world becomes one linear narrative (we just don't see this narrative because the comic was cancelled before they could finish telling it). supposedly a version of worlds collide did happen but the start and end are different. i get how all of this is confusing but we just gotta deal i'm not gonna get into my thoughts on the other points in the video (seriously, worse than 150 and 151?) but just figured i would explain that part.
I have both crossovers as proper comics and I still really enjoy the final battle where _Enhanced_ Super MegaMan and Super Sonic beat up Sigma to a point where X, ZERO and Axl have never gotten. Overall I think however, as fun as seeing all these other Capcom and SEGA IPs was, it hurt the crossover more than it helped. The art style was partially terrible, I agree here too but it was nowhere near as bad as the second third of Worlds Collide for the MegaMan side of things, yikes. Overall it was way too ambitious for its own good and canceling MegaMan shortly after was a real letdown for me who really enjoyed Archie's storytelling with that series albeit it having slight differences from the games (i.E. Super Adventure Rockman actually taking place between Rockman 3 and 4 rather and 2 and 3). Past MegaMan and Sonic fighting again and their battle against X6 body Sigma at the end, all I really remember is the blue guys and their friends moving to all those other games and collecting their representative heroes.
I thought sigma's body was from X5? In X6 he had what looked like a body he had from the SNES games with a cloak over top and his second phase was a copper skeleton. Also in regard to the other franchises that were shoehorned this was archie's second time handling NiGHTS since the 90's.

Was re reading this crossover last year and man the best way for me to describe this crossover is "hay you wanna see all of my hyperfixations?"
