I love this song it’s so beautiful BUT for me personally it cuts so deep. Every single word in this song is directed to my ex husband. I can now say though I am well shot of him and his mind games, cheating, controlling behaviour and just making me feel like utter shit. And the sad part was I believed him for years. I truly believed I couldn’t and wouldn’t get better than him and that no one else would want me. Well I’m now living my best life with a partner who loves me for ME & I honestly couldn’t be happier. Now him (ex) has been through countless women and relationships. He’s not as young as he once was and can’t pull the young ones like he use too. He’s now 50 and has been single for quite a long time. ( I’ve just turned 40) Maybe mean BUT all I’m going to say is karma baby, karma 😉
