Finally my necro is getting love, ive been playing necro since its release, i was actually the 1st person to level it up and do a score run in vma on pc eu ! Love the class and even at its lowest i never switched !
I'm a stam Necro and it is by no means an easy class. I've been playing it since I started and there have been many times where I questioned my decisions
PTS is still fresh out with plenty of possible changes ahead: keep your gold materials, folks, until the Live patch drops and changes are actually final.
Thank you for this new necro build, Hack. Your guides are always helpful and packed with information. The written guide has a couple of differences from the video. In Champion Points, you slot Bastion in the video, but Bloody Renewal is slotted in the written guide. I think Bastion is the one you want here, but maybe you changed it. For the Sergeant's Mail chest, the video has the Reinforced trait, but the written guide has the Divines trait. I'm assuming you want Reinforced on the chest, but maybe you changed that, too. Anyway, I'm excited for the new update to drop. I love my Necromancer, but he has been kind of wimpy for a long time. Thanks, again, HTM!
I always run with intensive spirit mender, because it drops a corpse, but also helps groups not just me; whoever needs it most, for the rare event other than dolmens etc.., that I am involved in an group activity.
My magcro is already insane if it's getting buffed I'll be ecstatic I'm using morass from the new trial with Sergeant Mail or Deadly Strike or storm masters on what I'm doing with him but I'll try your setup to as you are awesome
One bar cro has been badass. Glad it's finally getting some publicity. It was devastating before they nerfed oakensoul empower nerf. One bar DK is hard too.
Interesting, my main is an Vampire/Necromancer who has been missing out on Zos love for a long time, Vampires still are. Since the infinite archive, I have been soloing in Yep, Sargent's heavy in Divines, Orders wrath in medium all divines and slime craw shoulders in light and divines; everything gold with the Oakensoul one bar mythic. When I had my Stalking Blast Bones, all was well, alas it got nerfed out of existence, so now I am forced to use the much weaker poison dealing copycat. If Necromancers are finally getting a little love, to make us great again, then this update will be an great day.
I discovered, by accident, after my first two years of playing, that you can craft? Oakensoul after you get it the first time. Hours of grinding to get it on two toons and then was just bouncing through lists and 'Ta Drrr..' Wtf? I was so pissed at me for not realizing this.

Also glad they're improving Grave Lord's Sacrifice, and still sticking with the new direction for the skill. What do you think about the Deadly set and Sergeant's as an alternate setup?

I see your recommended races are mostly for DPS but how much of a loss do you think I'd be at if I went Nord and ran this magicka build? I like the added tankiness and I often run a stamina build (otherwise I might would say Breton)? I also like being able use ultimates are frequently as possible if I run in groups. Also is your death knight build one bar? Or two bar?
That’s what is cool about this game. You can really use any race you want because they just balance. You’re gonna get better results out of a character you have more fun playing.

Why would you go for the mag version of blastbones that buffs flaming skull when you don't use flaming skull? I get that it buffs damage, but the cost of using it is that you are not getting the stam blastbones, which works like the old blastbones, skeleton goes boom, lots of damage.
Probably because heavy attack builds are single target builds. The other abilities either take to long to cast or do AE, I don’t like the ability wield soul and tried with a few others but once you start stacking it you don’t get anything good at the end. It will need a tweak when 43 goes live as all the final scripts will be pointless. The class mastery is amazing though.
Hey there, I have a question about a 1-bar setup. I'm in the middle of farming the Sergeant set, and so far I have an inferno staff and a 2H axe in terms of weapons. Eventually, I will get all of them, but for now, if I put my staff as the main weapon and the 2H axe as the secondary, will it affect the set bonus?So, in total, I have a necklace, a ring, chest armor, and 2 weapons. Shouldn't I get the full 5-item set bonus?
You have to choose one character to do ALL of the scribing quests. After that, you only have to do the Indrik quest on your other characters. It's been a month, so you may know this already.
Hey hack I just thought of something with unnerving boneyards rework it says 4.1 seconds per tick and it does 10 ticks over the duration so wouldn't it potentially be a 51 second major breach debuff
I'm looking at this video 7 days ago, Grave Lord's Sacrifice still says "While in combat," so is this a change you are seeing on the PTS server? That it doesn't have to be in combat and can be pre-cast?
Yeah I don't play "Meta" builds as they are just opinion oriented, my current build melts through most content just fine including small amounts of PvP
You might see a bit more damage from Grave but the difference is small. Keep in mind Tharriker crafted in medium also gives bonus crit damage from medium armor passives
it would really come down to how high your crit chance i believe. i would find major berserk more useful though because its a 10% increase to all damage so its affecting your crit damage too where as major force is a 20% increase that you have to hit a crit to get that boost. Yeah thats a bigger boost but if you're only hitting a crit every other hit then major berserk is doing more for your parse

@@juiceswithin2388 the usual setup with Oakensoul is you drop one of the monster set pieces in order to have two 5-item sets running at full bonus each set. So I have for Sergeants: necklace, ring, lightning staff (which counts as 2 of course), and helm.
i'd so much like to lay. unfortunately, my game have a bug which prevents me from playing. seems there's a supposed update stuck at 74%. it's been days, but still is at 74%. i opened a ticket and they've been of zero help. i played for years and never saw this bug. tried many things, but now, the only idea i have left to be able to play eso is to wait for a future update, to see if it will force the previous one to be considered as done. if not, god knows when the problem will be solved. 😕

The blastbones running to me and blowing up to buff me... I can't get with that. It's stupid and i don't play my necromancer anymore because of it. There's plenty of other games out there and like, in Diablo 4 my necro has an actual army of skeletons. It's almost like they wanted necro to play like a necromancer raising dead to ATTACK THE ENEMY.
Well, the reason is because Necromancer was introduced after Sorcerer. Sorcerer already filled the niche of the obligatory pet build; if Necromancer tried to do the same thing, the two would compete with one another and you’d only ever see one or the other at any given moment. It would create division and would be difficult to balance. Necromancer how it stands now is more about the cycle of unlife and decay. It focuses heavily on DOT damage (like the enemy is withering away in your presence) and the gradual buildup of necrotic energy to release monstrosities (things like the Flesh Colossus or Bone Goliath). It’s not like a traditional MOBA summoner, but it is still very on-brand for a Necromancer

Have u tried using the scribing abilities for your heal and then you can use detonating siphon for more damage
Great build but I prefer sergeants with julianos 4 piece for 1500 crit and any monster set of choice still great to see necro getting back

It buffs lightning heavy attacks by 15% and buffs boneyard and necro ultimate damage by 15%. The flaming skull thing is irrelevant

Me replying to myself incase anyone else has this same problem. Just unequip you oak, sign out, equip. And everything is good.

Each hand on a weapon counts as one of the set, so if it's a two handed weapon it counts as 2 for whatever set it is.
