I learned how to drive my first-ever manual transmission vehicle of any type on a US-spaced 1996 International 4700. It had an 8-speed transmission with a split axle. To shift gears, you have to double clutch, which means engaging the clutch to get in gear, disengaging the clutch as I shifted from gear to gear, and then re-engaging the clutch while going into the next gear. The transmission had an H pattern with the gears lined up like this:
Low Range (1-4):
1st Gear: Bottom left
2nd Gear: Top left
3rd Gear: Bottom middle
4th Gear: Top middle
High Range (5-8):
5th Gear: Bottom left (after flipping the range selector)
6th Gear: Top left
7th Gear: Bottom middle
8th Gear: Top middle
Reverse: Bottom right
12:00 The water tanks are to help keep the brakes cool for those who may not know.
Also i think race vehicles use water cooling for engine instead of coolant because of some regulations but might not be all race classes

Tim you need show parts and working parts then swap the show parts on when you have a truck show, then it won’t take as much cleaning and will always be spotless in places

Done a few kms in a Eaton twin splitter in a S106 Foden with a 3306 Cat, bute gearbox once you get the hang of it, if only the truck had a few more ponies
What people don’t realise is, truck racing vehicles have independent front suspension UNLIKE real road going trucks.
On road trucks handle completely different

I just dropped your name on a fellow Floridians channel as he just purchased a 144 530. His name is Bruce Wilson, the only other Scania’s I am aware of in the States are two that belonged to the Quatar boat racing team, although it’s been a while since I saw them. Actually I need to pay them a visit and see if they are still here in storage.
