- During the Paramount Studios’ 2024 CinemaCon panel, some exciting news was revealed about the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender animated movie titled Aang: The Last Airbender. The studio revealed that Dave Bautista and Eric Nam would lead the voice cast for the new Avatar film. We will break this down and other information in this video. Enjoy!
Aang: The Last Airbender, the new animated movie by Paramount and Nickelodeon, will mark the first of the three standalone ATLA animated films. Aang: The Last Airbender will be directed by Lauren Montgomery and William Mata, who storyboarded numerous episodes in the original cartoon. The initial voice cast includes Dave Bautista, Eric Nam, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten and Román Zaragoza, with Bautista set to play an unnamed villain.

Instead of Aang the last Airbender they should name the movie "The Legend Of Aang"
Im glad that in Indonesia we called ATLA is Avatar The Legend of Aang from very begining.
That's definitely a much better title than the placeholder one they have now but also sometimes the title needs to relate to the plot of the movie so who knows what is going to happen

I have previously heard that Mae Whitman and Jack DeSena said they couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts. So, there is that, but I LOVE that Dante Basco is going to do Zuko because no other voice could ever be Zuko for me. :D
Will he, that’s the one I feel like shouldn’t happen, because Dante Bosco’s natural voice sounds like teenage Zuko. It would be odd if Zuko’s voice didn’t change in 20 years. Like how it was odd to have Dante be general Iroh
Ya and on top of that the actor who played Aang in the cartoon doesn't work anymore either even if now older
@@mranima748 they switched up voice actors in Legend of Korra with who played the older versions of the main gang as well besides Zuko who did General Iroh like you said
Zuko should have surpassed Ozai and Iroh as a firebender at that point.
They tease it in the comics that he and Azula have more potential due to Rokus blood.
Zuko waa also so powerful as a kid and as a very old man he fought Ghazan in the cold AND night.
He should also use lightning as he has overcome his inner turmoil
Look at how much stronger benders become from when they are kids till their mature years
Even in the comics the Gaang progresses
We have never seen Zuko at peak age and i hope he shows his true potential
Toph should also be undeniably above Bumi at this point

Ok go look up Eric nam:the puppy interview. It’s a shame that zach isn’t coming back for this one, but if Eric’s emotiveness comes through in his voice acting, then hopefully we’ll be ok.

As a fan of Eric nam songs. I was really impressed by this! Because for what I know it’d be his first time voice acting. I hope he works hard to do it well 🙏🏼 Through his interviews you can see he shares kinda the same personality of Aang and he’s hard working so crossing fingers ✨🤞🏼
I think the title you mentioned is a working title, meaning it will likley change and is just a placeholder title.

For the people upset about the change in voice cast, 2 of the original voice actors couldn’t do it for scheduling conflicts and Aangs voice actor quit the business

I am not feeling the name either. I had always thought Avatar: The Legend of Aang would have been great but i think they might run into legal issues when doing a cinematic release as it conflicts with the.. other avatar. The Legend of Aang is recognizable to fans but maybe not to potential new or casual viewers wich they do have to take into account.
Regardless Avatar has to be in the title I believe

I miss those days when we did not know the plot of a movie before it is released.
I mean even in the old days people still had an idea of what a movie was about it's just that in today's day with social media and what UA-cam has become leak culture has become more relevant
Here I come with my opinion lol Jeremy Shada would have made the perfect voice for Sokka. As a K-pop fan Eric has a good singing voice but I just can’t see him voicing Aang. I would rather have Steven Yeun voicing Aang. Of course Dante as Zuko can’t go wrong with that. Aimee Carrero as Katara and as for Toph I actually like this voice actor. Anyway, I’m sure I’m gunna be surprised it’ll turn out great.

Unrelated but is Korras VA’s replaced? I know the girl who voiced Korra is stepping back but is everyone else replaced like Mako, Bolin, Asami, Tenzin, etc?
I have no idea of anything going on with Korra or what not with a new series so I unfortunately cannot help there

I think the actor retired from the job and is no longer in the business
his original voice actor retired and they changed it for legend of korra too

Not using the original cast of voice actors is a red flag for me. I'd still watch, but it's a goofy decision if that's true.
It wouldn’t work, Dante Bosco’s adult voice naturally sounds like Zuko, so Zuko would still sound a teenage boy.
Also Mae Whitman the original VA of katara, mentioned a while back that she doesn't wanna play katara anymore and is willing to pass the torch. Zack Eisen (og VA of aang) retired from voice acting and I think he is still in the entertainment industry but behind the cameras.
I don't think it's a red flag I mean they changed the voice cast in Legend of Korra too so this is not unusual
