Your new room is really beautiful and comfortable! I hope the last incident did not affect your mood! Dumaguete looks great for walking, it’s lively there at night and people are having a great time! I discovered that you not only have beautiful eyes, but you also have the hair color that everyone wants. When the sun shines on it, it’s really beautiful! However, you'd better wear sunscreen well. Protecting your skin is really important! Thank you so much for sharing, great job! 👍🥰🙏
Thank you for sharing your last video. I learned a lot. I’ve been in those kind of situations and I handles it by not reacting and moving away from the incident. Being a foreigner I’m always visible and a potential target. You handled yesterday very well. That’s the attitude t have. So many react and they’re cooked. Great channel. Keep up the great work 🙏🏼
I travel a lot and yeah i make a point to have my room or hotel as comfortable as possible (without spending more than its worth) bc traveling can be exhausting and you gotta have a good rest without any discomfort or distraction so that you can enjoy the rest of your day
Your hair trips me out, bro. It does whatever it wants. Love the vids. You are respectful and polite wherever you go. Thanks for representing the US so well.
In Dumaguete, or in Visayas mostly, I would go to the market in the morning and look for sticky rice and hot chocolate (puto maya & sikwate). One of my favourite breakfast food!😊
You are going to learn that no matter what Country you are in anyway there is a group of tourists or this case Expats there is going to be people trying to take advantage of the situation. I personally don't know why people go to this city because there is far better places in the Philippines. You are not the only one to be scammed in the Philippines. I lived there 6 years and had my moments...its not a Filipino thing..its a easy money thing .
UA-cam recommended this channel for the first time today. This is the second video I’ve watched and so far they seem interesting and informative. I’m guessing you’re quite young, because most people don’t emphasize how “financially blessed” they are or highlight the fact that they don’t have a “small budget” for anything. However, this being said, I’ll be subscribing because I feel you are real, authentic, and honest. That other stuff I mentioned above will likely change/improve with time and experience. Unfortunately, finding real, authentic people is becoming the more difficult as time passes Anyway, I look forward to seeing what’s to come in future.
You went to University of the Philippines (UP), Diliman campus. UP has campuses all around the country but Diliman is the main one. Siliman I believe is a private uni. Yes it is now K-12 in the Philippines and the school and university system is very similar to the US except most of the Universities are run by various Catholic religious groups except UP which is government funded.
In the U.S. there are some k-12 schools affiliated with universities. Some on Camus and others outside. It used to be more common and some of them are called Lab schools run by the university School of Education.
Many people who are there only short time only talk about the Rizal Boulevard. But its mostly the same streetfood and the bars along the Boulevard are for old people. If you want to meet the folk around your age in the evenin, the city part north of the port is where you should go. I would recommend you to go there, or maybe Dauin too. Otherwise you might get the impression there are only retirees in Dumaguete which is not true. :) But it is true that you have to research a bit more and have more personal contact for a proper evaluation than other countries and cities, to know what is going on. Many might miss out completely on city parts and later say, "I didnt realize these things were there". I think another reason for this is bad city planning also.
Dumaguete is fair good enough place🔥 I lived here .Just looks for some spots here and travel .I thinks its worth to travel here ..Btw ,recommend you to rent a motorbike to save i ever you want to explore duma esp.here in VALENCIA🥰 Enjoy be Safe always 😇
33:06 I’m told that it’s much SAFER taking trikes around the city day or night especially at night and it’s only 100-200 max to go anywhere the trike drivers know where everything is
Hey, brother.. have always enjoyed your vlogs, your travels and views of super-cool places and things new and different. With a Philippine fiance, I particularly love these Philippine vlogs! We've done Thailand, and I have several trips there, so those are always fun. Hey be safe! Always take care, bro, and keep up the most excellent vlogging work! Cheers from the Pacific NW USA.
La Mensa (in North Point) has a wonderful selection of aged USDA steaks and is a first world restaurant. Well worth the money - the best restaurant in Dumaguete I found.
Looks like you went to Gerry’s Grill for dinner! I once had the restaurant version of balut, haven’t tried street version of it. Maybe if you ca let us subscribers watch you attempt to try Filipino Balut :-)
Nice video I’m new here btw , can you pls tell me what kind of phone plan you have that you can roam around with your gps ? Pls and thank you for info .
Try eating at the Sans Rival restaurant or, if you wanna try more veggie-based, the "Green Chef," "Beyond Plants," or "Chia" restaurant. (I guess you're not, anymore, in Dumaguete, though, heheh! But do come back if you can.🙂) Btw, Silliman University is one of the top universities in the Philippines; top 8th, I think.
Hello can you visit my uncle there in dumaguete municipality of siaton he had a lump on the back of head just visit him to energized his feelings thank you so much.
10:45 dude if you’re going to a sports bar or any kind of drinking place as a single, then Go to the he BAR, not a table, then you can make conversation with those sitting next to you 🤗🤗🤗 If they don’t have a BAR then go on to the next place 😅😅
Not much hypes in Dumaguete city for traveling back packers... Actually the province vibe of Negros Oriental with close access to neighboring island tourist distinations is a place of choice for expats to live like the town of Valencia, Bacong or Dauin..😎
The alcohol bans that are implemented at election times really bug me! The intention is noble - to stop people being influenced by booze or the suppliers of that booze when they vote. However, as a non-Filipino citizen, I don't have the right to vote so being plied with booze has no effect on me regarding the electoral process. It is also ineffectual, anyway, since, if the guys in my neighbourhood are anything to go by, they simply stock up a few days prior to the election. The same applied to the booze-ban in my province during the first few months of Covid. All that led to was people drinking covertly, inside and not observing social-distancing. A perfect example of ridiculous bureaucracy effectively defeating its intent.
I don't think the liquor ban was meant to stop people from getting drunk before voting, it's probably intended to stop fights or scuffles from breaking out in the streets on election day. In a way they do their job by making people just drink indoors and not causing any trouble, especially given the political violence that breaks out every election year.
Your new room is really beautiful and comfortable! I hope the last incident did not affect your mood!

Check out the natural beauty in the surrounding areas in your next videos! Do you have an underwater housing for your GoPro?
I travel a lot and yeah i make a point to have my room or hotel as comfortable as possible (without spending more than its worth) bc traveling can be exhausting and you gotta have a good rest without any discomfort or distraction so that you can enjoy the rest of your day

PLEASE visit BAGUIO CITY, summer capital of the Philippines.
I'm debating moving to Tagaytay or Baguio. Will see them both when I move there. Other destinations as well 😊.
Your hair trips me out, bro. It does whatever it wants. Love the vids. You are respectful and polite wherever you go. Thanks for representing the US so well.
Silliman is a private school so gated. You visited on a Sunday so the gates are closed. If you went on a school day, every gate will be open.
You handled the accident situation very well you're a good man, you deserve that lovely room for sure.
where is it

They can drink liquor during those period. You should have reported their activity to the police.
I'm interested to know why Dumaguete in particular gets so many expats? What is there on offer?
Very nice people and inexpensive living.
Silliman U is the best U in Negros Oriental.
