I've been playing Skyrim longer than Epic's not been making Gears of War games.
And taking a few minutes to actually fact check the statement shows that 63% of fortnite players are 18-24 so the "legendary burn" actually makes no sense because Skyrim released in 2011

I hate that each time I watch one of those "things you may have missed in skyrim" videos I'm always like "ok maybe this time I'll know them all already but noooooo. Each fricking time I'm hit with a dodgeball at the end. Now I need to open skyrim again to find Glados.
I'm the oposite, i know all these things, however this video had 1 "trick" that i actually didn't know, Voice of the Sky works on Vampiers

I have the opposite problem, been playing since day one and watched every elder scrolls video on yt.... I only find lore idk about in the first 2 games now.... maybe morrowind...I love the elder scrolls hahha

Become Ethereal is another way to descend a mountain quickly. Since you take no damage when using the shout any fall damage is negated. Though you do need to use the shout prior to falling.

I'm 24 and played skyrim for the first time ever in January on this year. It has quickly become my favorite game, over Kingdom Hearts which has been my favorite game for years. Thank you for condensing this information hehe

Frost the horse being a vanilla cream color and not pure white will always slightly infuriate me.

When I saw the child Sofie sleeping on the ground outside a windy snowing Windhelm I had to adopt her. It broke my gameplay concentration leaving her like that.

You would think that, but some people have never thought to enter that temple because of role play and only thinking thats where you get married.

I hate that this is true. Also, apparently, I've adopted Faendal by marrying Camilla Valerius in one of my saves.
You must have helped him woo Camilla over Sven.
@@brandonkirk5236 That is not necessary. Even if you completely ignore both of them and avoid their stupid rivalry, Faendal will still follow Camilla no matter where you take her to live. I have more than once woken up after a nights sleep in Solitude, only to find the freak standing at the foot of the bed watching us.
Never considered using Unrelenting Force on insects. Dartwings in particular are near impossible to catch.
Must give it a try. Only downside I can see is the shout scattering the little winged buggers across the countryside.
Yeah, sometimes the wings/insects fall into the terrain.
It only works on salmon if they are swimming with other fish or if they are jumping at waterfalls, but if you shout at them you get salmon roe. They make massively OP water breathing potions that sell for loads more than regular ones.
You can catch dartwings by coming up underneath them in the water too. Did that a lot with my argonian.
You can comb the area with the telekinesis spell, which highlights items in the floor from a distance. That's what I do at least.
I get Voice of the Sky once every playthrough, then never renew it.
Same. It would be so much more worth it if it was permanent.
Right?! Who has time to go back once a day to fix it. Unless you have a mod that slows timescale down with out breaking the game its pointless.
@@assassincharizard Permanent would be a bad idea, given how it interacts with other creatures like Vampires and Werewolves. This could cause it to break certain Quests. However if it would last a bit longer, say a week in-game then it would be far more useful.
Shrines have the same problem, only lasting 8hrs in-game. They should also be at least a week long, though in their case permanent would be fine.

If you have the Rare Curios Creation, which became free for all Special Edition players when Anniversary Edition was released, Corkbulb Root and Gold Kanet also have Paralysis as their first effect.
HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THE BLESSING OF MARA AFTER 13 YEARS OF SKYRIM
Little trick to make the Skill Book usage even better, Go to Solstheim as soon as you start the game and talk to the blacksmith to begin his Quest. Following this questline will take to into the mines and down into the Drauger tombs. At the end you will get your first Dragon Priest Mask and the Bloodskaal Blade, as well as a very cool shout. More importantly however you will also get your first Black Book. After reading it and making your first trip to Apochrypha, you will be awarded with a choice of three new permanent powers. Choose the Scholars Insight power and now every time you read a Skill Book you will get 2 levels instead of 1.
Given there are 5 books for every Skill in the game, it means you only need to level up to 90 in any skill, then read the 5 books to hit 100 and saving you hours of time. You should also avoid reading the Oghma Infinium until you hit level 85 in the 6 Skill of your chosen path. Reading it at this point will bring each skill up to level 90 and you can just read the regular Skill Books at that point and max them all out. Given there are plenty of Trainers who can get you to those levels for Gold, it can be dead easy to max out at leas one full set of Skills ( Warrior, Wizard or Thief ) in very little time.
In the entry about filling out your backstory you forgot that you can also confirm or deny being a Cannibal in that one quest in Markarth.

The thief being tortured by the Thalmor must be how they knew to contact Gissur. It all makes sense

It however doesn't affect foxes for some reason. Conclusion: a vampire is apparently more of an animal than a fox lmao.
@@sleeplesstime Voice of the Sky only effects creatures which can be hostile. Foxes and Rabbits can never be hostile anyway, so will often still run away from you. It is worth noting however that this is not because they are still afraid of you but rather because it is their natural behaviour to run around even when passive.
Some creatures it does not effect which it kinda should are Trolls, Spriggans and Ice-Wraiths. If I remember correctly however this is intentional, as it is Lore based.
@@ASavageEye It does affect rabbits though. I haven't tried trolls yet (maybe I should), but I think it kinda makes sense that it doesn't affect Spriggans and Ice Wraiths, I don't think they classify as animals. But also it's still funny that it affects vampires of all things lol.

If you get the mod "Jaxonz positioner" (which is one of the most useful mods IMHO) you can select and pull skill books directly into your inventory without opening. Then you can save and use them after getting the skill point boosts that's an option from one of Hermaeus Mora's black books during the Dragonborn expansion. That way you get 2 skill points for each book.

One of the Black Book awards increases levelling up from skill books, so it’s best to read the books with the effect active.

9:20 this is why I play with mods, so I *CAN* build something between the Serana and the Dragonborn.
She should've been a marriage candidate the entire time, don't know why Bethesda didn't implement it.
They did record married/marriage voice lines for Serana, so it did seem to be planned at some point, just don't know why they cut that particular piece of content.
But hey, mods can fix what Bethesda left out.
Because of her trauma I can't imagine Serana want ting to be in a relationship.

You can also read books when it is in another inventory. Hold Shift and it will display a hidden prompt to read it.
Fun fact: The dialogue choices for the Last Dragonborn's family can be construed as Lorkhan talking about the other gods. So if you're really invested in the theory that the Last Dragonborn is a Shezzarine, the dialogue choices are all technically correct.

how bout telling us stuff we didn't know in ESO? Such a massive game, tons of secret ways to solve missions that people don't explore, it's why I turn quest markers off, you can complete some quests in alternate ways just by genuinely coming across an alt way to finish the mission, etc.
The last one was a surprise for me, i didn’t even know about this and I’ve played Skyrim for a long time.
9.5: After acquiring all of the skill books (5 books per skill for a total of 5 points each), go to Solstheim, so into Raven Rock mine to do "The Final Descent". Read the first black book at the end of that dungeon, then choose Scholar's Insight and get 2 skill points for every book you read, giving you 10 points for every skill.

Corkbulb root also gives paralysis
Corkbulb root's primary effect is also paralysis, and you'd be better off using Become Ethereal
When you were talking about the horse quest I could swear you were saying "Sippy"
I have over 5000 hours in Skyrim currently, and I have never heard of that last Easter egg before. Though restoration loop is way easier for magic immunity with the Atronach stone. Lol
#5 reminds me: there's a "shout" you can learn, called "become ethereal".

you can't be harmed that way, but also can't harm anyone else.
that ALSO prevents fall damage!
also, an obscure quest i discovered, it MIGHT be a recent addition:
just outside Riften, there's a dock.
wandering around the dock, or in a building, there's a female Argonian.
talk to her, and she will give you a quest: take a Dwemer artifact, and put it back where it belongs.
doing this gives you two permanent bonuses: Dwarven Armor will provide more protections, and Smithing skill will improve 15% faster!
i'm not sure, but i think the entire dock area is new, added along with the Fishing minigame, and that "seducers" quest you can get from the wandering Khajiit traders.
The fishing and the seducers things are new, the female Argonian with the Dwemer artifact isn't.
The sweetroll thief is Glover Mallory. The evidence is in his basement.
Netch jelly? Or...or you can literally use the become ethereal shout for exactly what it was meant for.

The mod Serana Dialogue Expansion adds a lot of dialogue, including flirting and yes, marriage. And dates!

You don't exactly have to "shout" at them to get the roe. Shouting just makes it easier to catch them.
You get roe regardless, as long as it's jumping salmon.

Although significantly harder to execute than just using netch jelly, another way of avoiding fall damage is to pull off a sneak attack.
The biggest problem with the adoption feature is that it sometimes just doesn't work. You adopt the kid, they say yay! then... never show up. They stay where they were. And you cannot try to adopt any other kids from that point on.
Over 5000 hours here. I could've become a brain surgeon with 6 years of experience. And yes, i did the calculations, it's not an exaggeration 😢

Thanks to Anniversary Edition you can also use Corkbulb to paralyze yourself

note sure if its in the base game but there is a chest behind a waterfall to the right of the word wall when you face the wall in bleak falls. you can even see it near the top of the exit stairs tho it looks like its behind the wall itself

My ex played through almost the entire bards college trying to get the Wabajack. I was on my first playthrough as an Orc and some guy walked up to me and lead me straight to the quest.
Instead of shouting at draugr, just use any damage on them, the doors arent actually real so you can swing or shoot right through them to wake up the draugr inside. Fus ro dah has too long of a cooldown to waste on waking up an undead boi
There's an alternative to netch jelly from rare curios. Chokeberries work too
To avoid fall damage I prefer to just shout Become Ethereal and then jump.

Why would you use netch jelly when you can just use the shout that makes you invincible for a bit then jump off stuff?
If you don't have all the words of Become Ethanol it may not last though the entire fall, and you can't shout while jumping or falling so if you didn't actually mean to fall off something you may not have that chance. These are edge cases, though; you're right that the shout is generally more reliable and also infinitely accessible.
Most fun build in the game is archer (but no using stealth) with the ultimate dodge mod it becomes so fun dodging there melee then shooting them in the head 🥳

Why does no one know of the free horse you can get at Riften 😩 if you ask the owner of the horse stable for a brawl and win, not only do you get 100 gold but can also ride away with the horse he is selling and it's not marked as stolen! Granted the horse doesn't see you as its owner and when you dismount it'll start walking back to the riften but it's the fastest way I know how to get a horse early early in the game :)
I believe corkbulb also has the primary effect of paralysis
I also hate the fact that Serana isn't marriable without mods
