- First Blackpool FC announce the new season ticket prices (or next season to what I can only imagine is a crescendo of boos around the town - fans are kicking off, the gazette is on it, BST come out in total condemnation of the price hikes and quite rightly so IMHO then our media team film an interview with CEO Julian Winter which is all watered down and script written and then Andy Bayes comes a calling to do some proper journalism and OMG who is this guy? wtf was that? that's our CEO? good grief!
If it wasn't a shit show already that interview was the icing on a very 'shitty cake' who are these guys? if it wasn't a serious error of judgement already then this guy takes the condescending tone even deeper than it already was.

It’s a shocking interview! The younger fans are our next generation of fans and sadly half of them might not be able to attend games because their parents can’t afford to buy a season ticket for them. As a football club they should be helping and supporting families as best as they can but this isn’t supporting them by pumping prices up and making it harder to get tickets! It’s certainly the wrong decision! There are other ways of making revenue but not making your own fans suffer
You would think that they would have better ideas to increase revenue, encourage more families to go and have the ground bouncing! Yep I still can't believe how bad that interview was I have no faith in Julian Winter! It was so bad it was like a parody sketch 🤬
When they see the lack of ST sales they will use that as an excuse for not developing the new East Stand, it will just stand empty!!!

Blackpool have been very fortunate that the vast majority of supporters stuck with them following relegation to league one. You can't help feeling that the club is taking them for granted.
Indeed and the fact this clown reckons fans are going to be right behind him in his quest to pay the electricity bills and his struggle to be able to pay his staff who have had a rise in their minimum wage by whacking big increases on U5's U14's and U18's effectively pricing out many struggling families and young fans (those that are basically the future the football club)
I'm not confident his masterplan is going to work.
Throughout history there are some people who have been creative or inspirational could think outside the box, do incredible things, make incredible things, build incredible things and become incredibly wealthy others have stolen wealth whilst wearing a mask.
@@LeeCharlesTV Maybe he forgets that they are in the entertainment business and Blackpool supporters were rarely entertained last season. So, to put prices up is naive in the extreme. There are probably many supporters hesitant about renewing their season ticket(s) for next season. This fella seems to have made their minds up for them!

With SS's company Segantii closing down this could impact SS's willingness/ability to invest further in the club. Also the possible 7 year jail sentence if found guilty may have serious consequences for the club.

I won't be renewing my season ticket I'm 80 I've been going for donkeys years and can't afford to pay the increase

You should go to the fans forum, Lee and let your thoughts and those that have commented in this video be known. You're a good voice for the club and its supporters.

As a West Ham fan this interview is hard viewing, the guy's deluded, it's really horrible to say this as i had to make a decision myself as I was a season ticket holder. I DIDN'T RENEW.
What are the prices now at West Ham Dean? Honestly I feel that football needs some sort of reset. The clubs prey on our loyalty to them and yet every year the debts rise for more and more clubs as they continue to pay ludicrously ever rising player wages. Something eventually has to give or the greed of football will implode on itself 🙁
When I had my season ticket I wad paying £635 this was for a category D ticket in block 228, I had to make the decision of not renewing due to two many evining games and paying lage amounts of money getting the train from hungerford to Paddington.
The worst thing about this was the view I had which was terrible would have been OK if my club supplied binoculars 😅
Good grief that's expensive!! I imagine category D is for the cheapest season tickets. I've never been but I have heard that you can be a long way from the pitch. I've never felt that a converted athletics stadium would be the ideal place to watch football but I've been surprised that it hasn't affected how you have performed in the PL
Football is all about dosh , more dosh for better players , sad reality is uncle Simon aint got a bottomless wallet , new stand on the horizon remember, he will have allocated money for that . If the team get better the fans will come and watch them .

Hi Lee Barnsley fan here love watching ya videos. In regards to ya ticket price issue ours are more expensive our cheapest adult at early bird price is £379 at time of writing this the early bird has now gone and the same seat is £400+ for a behind the goal seat so your prices aren’t that bad. I’d also like to point out to Dalek who commented about league one only having 3 teams to win the fa cup we also won it in 1912. Anyway good luck for the season I always enjoy Blackpool away I will look out for you next season 👍

I get a feeling season ticket sales will be way down this summer a combination of disillusionment with the football, the perceived lack of investment in quality players from many fans, the reaction to the ticket price hike, the cost of living crisis and this interview from our 'CEO' Julian Winter being the cherry on top.
It's going to be interesting to see if the club are proved right and people will buy at any price or whether it will be the polar opposite

Unless the club raises more revenue the club will languish in League one.
It is my opinion that they are taking the pIss Stephen and if fans can't afford these prices and/or are not enjoying going then I can't blame them if they don't renew. There won't be mass protests outside the ground people just won't go or can't afford to go and I totally understand it.
I agree the club need more revenue, more bums on seats but will Julian Winters interview inspire that? or pIss people off even more? we shall see 👀
didn't realise our CEO was a bouncer at The Manchester. Although had more logical chats when he's working his shift on the door. He doesn't give a shiny shite about the pool :(
