i just checked and the McDonalds Hamburgerpatty has 45g. i can buy 1kg beef for 10€ at my butcher, at the supermarket its more like 7€ and i really dont think he uses butcher-graded meat to maximize profit, so ill go with 8€. After googling a recipe, with 1kg Flour, roughly 500ml warm water, yeast, 2 eggs and salt(which all together cost 3€) i can make 20 Burger Buns. So making beef pattys at 50g, with a selfmade burger bun plus the 10g of onion and almost non existing ketchup, lets be generous and say our ingridients cost 13€ for 20 burgers, he sells 20 burgers for 20 pound which is 22,76€, so he makes roughly 50cents or 40pennies per burger. in combination with power cost, water and rent for the shop, this guy is either selling 3000 burgers a day or loundring money =D

That’s a bloody big hot dog for £1 . The guys a legend of Blackpool . Great vid and thumbs up as always
I wish we still had this in the Netherlands. It is forbidden by ESG to sell cheap meat over here. All animals need to be treated like wagyu cows. It won't be long until only the rich are allowed to eat meat prices doubled a couple of times already.
What no more febo? Good memories staggering to febo at 4 in the morning
@@xredden07 that is long gone. even mcdonalds got blasted for selling 1 euro burgers and stop doing it. You might find a chinese snackbar selling one for 1.50 here and there but I honestly do not think it is meat :D
I'm glad you done this, he's a really friendly guy that £1 burger guy, I'm surprised he can still afford to sell a burger for £1 in this day and age, I'm going to enjoy watching this 🙂
Economics, sell cheaper, you most likely sell more. Hence why cheap shops such as BnM, the range pound shop, etc do well. If you ever get chance read the story of how The Range was started. The guy who owned the stores got it right
I feel it’s like partly a marketing thing for the arcade, and I guess Blackpool rents are pretty cheap and so are burger ingredients.
It’s the people still trying to sell expensive foods, are the ones that won’t last
Of course it's possible to do a £1 burger. Basic and low quality. That burger probably costs 20p for the burger and 10p for the bread. Shift enough of them and you're doing alright.
@@Matt19matt19 I buy the same Burgers so do 98% of the burger bars in Blackpool & all over the uk
This has got to be one of my favourite reviews so far. So funny. Love the editing (camera man)
‘It’s an ot dog .. it’s an ot dog” .. 😅😅😅 thank you Danny . Brilliant !!
I really like this channel, and Danny seems a right down to earth bloke. Loves a bit of banter and always has time for the people that follow his channel , and poses for selfies, Bravo !
He clearly owns the whole amusement place as well so can probably lose a bit on the burger 😂
Yeah, that's the whole point, it's called a loss leader, they've been used for centuries in business.
Think I've seen a video of him explaining his costs before and I'm fairly certain he does still turn a profit on the burgers surprisingly enough
Roll 8p burger 20 p plus cooking !
@@LilNickyRush1probably from cost of supplies alone yeah, from the grill being on and the lights etc no way. Without the arcade he’s absolutely losing money. Again it’s just to get people to his arcade which can’t be knocked. If I was to go to an arcade in that area I’d go to the place where I can eat a burger with change found in my car door
@@farseerflore9512
Yeah like Tesco meal deal and stuff
It is interesting how everything in the world at the moment gets more and more expensive, yet he is still selling his burgers for 1 pound. Respect :)
The way the nostalgia hit him as he tasted the burger. It was reminiscent of the food critic scene from Ratatouille...
Glad this guy got the coverage... he will definitely get some more customers . 👍
The brummie mentioning the black country cafe was so unexpected, that's a proper old lorry driver stop, brings back some tasty memories
That burger is £5-6 at some football grounds. Ridiculous!
Ive been waiting years to see you eat the 1£ burger, i suggested it to you years ago i really didnt think you would eat one though ! well done Danny
That Man and his business keeps family's alive well done that man he deserves a Oscar why there ain't more places like it in this situation were in 👍👌👏 cheapest day out Danny's ever had cost more getting there and bk 😂
That Stephen from Brum was annoying trying to have a main character moment 😂
The editing is brilliant. "It's a POUND!"
"It's an Hotdog" x4. 😂
Hi Danny. Good to see that someone is still providing affordable food for those who can’t afford to pay todays inflated food prices. The only thing missing is a little lettuce and possibly a slice of tomato. Plain simple food that fill up the tummy when your’e hungry. Cheers from the Land of Beers (Down Undee). 😊
Tomatoes in the UK at the moment are more expensive that the £1 burger itself!? That's if you can find any..There are no tomatoes in the supermarket!
@@atikulhussain7614 Then shop at local shops same prices , but they actually have them in stock!
@@alimantado373 Same prices? 50% more expensive here for local fruit shop and their tomatoes are out stock too. Fucking loving Brexit Britain me.
This editor is hilarious, the seqgull 😂😂😂😂
What a lovely guy. The next time I’m in Blackpool I’m going to get in that queue for some £1 scran.
Should have been a 10 for sure Danny boy, Chris is a top fella, giving excellent service and value for money, and a tasty burger for just £1 boom 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔
The editing cracks me up. Good stuff, gents!
Great to me you Daddy, glad you enjoyed your burger, did I mention it was £1 😂😂😂😂😂
Well done buddy for keeping your price low and not ripping of the public like other places next time am in Blackpool I will defo try your legendary £1 burger
Hahahaha daddy… think autocorrect has done you dirty there! Seem like a top bloke though, keep it up.

You can't beat cheap and cheerful burgers, with watered down sauce. Hits the spot when needed.
This guy is awesome. You can tell he loves what he does
people like that are what is missing now a days, hasnt given into the greed and hasnt inflated his prices, fair play to him, i hope you tipped him well
This has to be your funniest review ever… 😂😂😂 Did I say £1??? 👏🏻👏🏻
It was the seagull getting snapped that got me! 😂
Chris is a good bloke. A couple of years ago I asked him if he could put me a breakfast stacker together. It was nice.
Chris is a legend and the Blackpool daddy. I really enjoyed this review
Chris is a legend around Blackpool always stop by for a burger when I'm in town he's so friendly got alot of time for everyone he has
I think this might be my favorite video that y’all have made it’s funny I love the editing that y’all did in it did I mention that it’s a pound it’s crazy still laughing
Mate your a good soul.
Can feel your energy. Lovely, genuine guy.
Enjoy watching you . Thanks brother ❤️
Anyone happen to catch the price of that burger?
Thought it was a dime????
99p
No that's on his saver menu, just a burger no sauce or onions on it
I’ll stick to the 89p hamburger from Maccy d.s up the road, at least you know the meat came from a cow 😅
@@SkaterbunAlthough the details regarding the exact parts of the cow are hazy.
Hey folks
Appreciate him while he breathing cause when
he's gone you'll be sad
With nostalgia
That was a fun review. The food is obviously a "loss leader" for the arcade and merchandise, but what a great idea for a cheap meal at a seaside town. Perfect for the kids, and only $1.19 each (U.S. conversion). 😉
It's not a loss leader he'll still be making 50% on every burger sold
These burgers are scarily cheap to buy at wholesale, they typically use mostly heart meat and offcuts, the rest is a rusk filler. They taste ok considering how meatless they are.
@@TheOfficialStal offal is still meat
@@bryn3652 You are utterly clueless and clearly have never owned a business in your life.
Cant beat it for £1.00 Chris hasnt put up the price yet despite the current situation Well done Chris and the £1.00 burger and his other trad blackpool snacks for a quid hope he has a great blackpool season great video RMT.
Editor's killing me this episode 😂 "HAVE I MENTIONED ITS A POUND?!"
It's all fun and games until Steven from Birmingham rocks up
What a gentleman. It’s honest and basic food and those of a certain age can appreciate that value. And yes, it brings back amazing seaside childhood memories. GREAT video. All the best £1 burger
Those of a certain age would be eating un-reconstituted beef. Because the tech to make this kind of meat didnt exist back when!
@@alimantado373 do you remember Westler burgers lol

He’s a lovely guy irl too
Same!
The colab I've been waiting for!
The seagull getting squished😂😂😂 I'm dying!
The £1 burger is a legend of Blackpool. Cooked by Chris the burger legend. If ever in Blackpool you must visit and try the burger. It's almost the law. We were in Blackpool on Saturday I went straight to Higgits. Top rank food every time.
Mate if that man's shop was near a college he'd be making an absolute killing. As it stands I hope he's doing good business and wish him continued success.
haha swear lad id av been buyin 5 a day
It is. Blackpool & the Fylde College has a campus within walking distance.
(There is a benefit to doing your English degree there - besides the fact it has one of the best Drs in the subject working there under the radar, cheap rent, cheap food, lot's of temporary & part-time work, and plenty of places to party on any weeknight... Not just a hack rack my friend. Not just a hat rack.)
Keep up the good work this is proper english grub! Before you know it there will only be hipster coffee shops serving overpriced crap unfortunately !

Cans of pop are 50p because he sells multipack cans lol.
The price of the cans have now gone up to be able to keep the burgers at £1
@@tiswhatitis137 So what? They're the same thing, multipack or not.
@@SSJfraz Yeah I know but multipack cans are cheaper and single cans have an RRP price on them so you can't sell them for cheaper. It's also illegal to sell multipack cans singly, not that I care I'm just saying why they are cheaper.
Hilarious episode, absolutely one of the best in ages!! Super funny guy selling them, amazing work by Mr Editor too! “DID I TELL YOU ITS A POUND” 😂
This is classic RMT and I love it!
We were in Blackpool in April and called to see Chris, I had two burgers and was stuffed. They are really nice and flavoursome and are far better than anything you would get at the golden arches establishments.
See you next April not
Are you the famous snooker player
I hope you brought your passport Danny coming over to Lancashire! 😂 This is my favourite episode so far. 🏴👍
I park around the corner from this place when I'm in Blackpool and ALWAYS buy a burger and coffee! The burger is always fresh and tasty, and the bun also fresh and soft. You can't get tasty quality for a quid anywhere else.
Chris from £1 Burger (and Danny from RMT of course + 'Cameraman') needs to go in the UK Official Hall of Fame up there with our top A list celebs! Such amazing enthusiasm and people you could honestly want to spend hours talking to every day!!
Two genuinely nice blokes in one place
Honestly can’t believe the price. Even buying these products to make these must cost near enough that amount. Hats off to him
i just checked and the McDonalds Hamburgerpatty has 45g. i can buy 1kg beef for 10€ at my butcher, at the supermarket its more like 7€ and i really dont think he uses butcher-graded meat to maximize profit, so ill go with 8€.
@@Vittrich well he has other stuff there, hot dogs, spam sandwiches, drinks, a nice little pool table, arcades maybe he doesn't make that much profit on the burgers but he can use that to attract people to his shop which is smart
