Clubs have already announced next season's ticket prices and most are putting them up. Some are also reducing or removing discounts for certain season ticket holders. It's angered supporters, who say their loyalty is being exploited while clubs make huge profits from commercial deals.
Kiran Moodley has been speaking to fans of Nottingham Forest and Spurs.

Been going on for years. Most football fans were priced out long ago.

I know several people that don’t have season tickets anymore. £900 a season is a lot of money if you earn minimum wage in a cost of living crisis.

The only way to fix the problem is for fans to stop buying tickets and merch until the price comes down. Once they start losing money they will drop the price. I guarantee it will work.

My Dad and I have been season ticket holders at West Ham for 20 years. For my 7yo son to become the next generation of Hammers supporter, he'll need a full price adult ticket. Disgusting level of greed and short term thinking.

    Cut players wages instead.

I am a pensioner and pay £1200 plus for my Arsenal season ticket, if I give it up their are thousands waiting to snap it up, that's why the clubs couldn't give a f**k tbh

During the recession. The filthy rich football clubs didn't bail out thier fans. Yet players were getting ridiculously high salaries.

Train ticket, tube each way, something to eat and match ticket can come to almost £100.

One of the many reasons, I stopped watching football in 2020. Season ticket holder all my life, but no more. Football is no longer a fan sport, it’s corporate through and through.

    Support Swindon then🤔

LOOK AT GERMAN FOOTBALL SEASON TICKET COST 150 EURO ITS NOTTING BUT GREED

  • @robertcreighton4635

What a joke. It's so expensive to be a fan. Now they've made it worse

People are walking away from the Premier league and non league is booming

  • @garethpreen5929

It's simple. Don't go and never go back. Watch your local grade seven team and watch the game with a pint in your hand. The Premier league was the worst thing that ever happened as it just encouraged greed. All you have to do is go on all the German clubs websites to see their price structure. All away fans travel free on match day as well. This country is embarrassing when it comes to standing up for what's right...

Brutal business, nothing to do with sport anymore. Players are multi millionaires and fans are left wanting. What sport?

  • @eddouglas

*Customers. Been priced out for years, then the clubs complain of lack of atmosphere ... Only the middle class can afford to go.

  • @likethewind7129

Just don’t go to the game it really is that simple

  • @ugada6358

Stop going to prem games go to sunday league games

  • @arturhubertkrzak8548

Top league football is now only about money money money. Pure capitalism, everyone forgot about the roots of many clubs in UK- factories, labour unions and associations. Shameful but not surprising, it’s our sad reality.

The core of this crisis is the ridiculous amount of money that is poured into the pockets of Players. Seriously 500k a week is obscene and Clubs justify it that if we don't pay it your star players will go to clubs who will pay it. It's time for a wage Cap on player and transfer fees. But then the PFA will scream foul that it's a restriction of trade. Yes, it is a restriction of trade and it's needed to preserve the Game in this Country. It's why the Government is forcing a Regulator on the Game because Football can't be trusted to regulate itself for the good of the game for future Generations. It's the disease that is embedded into all things English. Short-termism!!! and I'm ok Jack sod the investment in the future.
