    It's designed to be filled directly from the long 220g butane canisters. Doesn't need the gas transfer adaptor that way. Appears to be a smart design, haven't seen a modified lindal valve that can be filled directly like that.
    Thanks for the review.

    I ended up here precisely because I was looking for a small rechargeable butane canister so I didnt have to lug around a full size one.
    I think this would boil me up a large pot noodle about 6 times, and my small strong coffees use half that amount of gas.
    Im also tempted by the idea of combining the light with a BRS stove for winter camping. On a cold winter night those little lanterns are a relatively safe way to introduce a little heat to the inside of your tent before bed. (NEVER sleep with them on though as they will inevitable get knocked over)

      According to testing, it takes 7.67 grams of iso-butane to boil one litre of water in a laboratory. Taking that into consideration, this canister has enough fuel to boil less than 2 litres of water under laboratory conditions.

    Flameking has a small refillable gas canister.

      I have the flame king refillable containers, the large one, and a very small one. The very small one can hold 50 g of propane. That might be a great option for your backpacking adventure.

    Yes!! I have been waiting for you to do some more campingMoon product reviews. I found them recently myself on Amazon I love all their adapters for all the different forms of fuel for the pocket stoves or remote camping stoves. I saw a video recently of a guy who used the same lantern for the fuel canister, I got to say I was very impressed with the little canister and little lantern how little fuel it went through. I would love to see you do a video on their rocket stove/ butane adapter connection that also connects to a propane or isobutane canister

    Thank you for the nice video. Recently I purchased the butane canister that holds 110 g of fuel. Those things are built like a tank, and they are designed to be refilled.

    The Little The Little refillable canister is insane it fits in a tokes 450 ml cup is the best day hiking mini stove emergency kit you could make. I use it just to make a cup of tea at the end of my day hikes and it takes up no space in the small day hike pack !

    The 3.9 oz / 110g iso-butane cylinder easily fits inside my cup with a small stove. It weighs less and carries almost 10x more fuel. The flame from the candle is very yellow, proving poor combustion, and should not be used inside an enclosed space like a tent. The gadget freak of me desperately wants this lantern, but there is no scenario where it makes sense.

    This is quite similar to what I run, except I use one of the old Stanley adventure pots, a GSI Glacier cup, and one of the small GSI isobutane canisters.
    You can fit two such canisters in the pot, but if you only pack one, there's room for a BRS stove, mini Bic, half a sponge, a microfiber cloth, and a small bottle of soap.
    Tbh, I'm not sure of the value of this by comparison, unless you're running a smaller pot where even one of the smallest normal canisters won't fit.

    Isobutane is R-600a, commonly used as a refrigerant in newer refrigerators and airconditioners.

    • @NotExpatJoe
      @NotExpatJoe 2 місяці тому

      R-600a is isobutene and the fuel used for cooking is isobutane. Isobutane is an alkane with 4 carbons while the isobutene is the alkene form of it. They are not the same thing.

      Buy one from Kelly Kettle. They make a few different sizes that are around $4 each.
