How creative. Reminds me a lot of the rotoscoping animation in A Scanner Darkly. Just wish I could watch it here in the USA. Can't find this available anywhere.
Unfortunately, there was only a single showing of this movie in theaters near me. I couldn't make that screening. For some reason the trailer keeps popping into my head from time to time. Looking forward a physical release. This style would look great in a 4K release. 🧡💛🧡
It feels like a wave of semi art house animators are learning from Joel Haver's techniques and no one seems to give credit...Or am I completely mistaken?
too bad it's in such a inaccessible language.. (don't get me wrong.. I would be just as pissed if it were Dutch).. judging from the reviews, it's a great movie!
it has been released in two language variants (as it was a co-production of Hungary and Slovakia) - although I am not really sure if the Slovak variant makes it more accessible :) Although, as a Slavic language it is still closer to Dutch than Hungarian is :)
Hey, if people don't have issues watching South Korean, Japanese, Indian, Thai and other films subtitled, they'll have no issues watching this film subtitled. Even if the Hungarian, Finnish, Estonian, Crimean Tatar, or Basque language are not Indoeuropean languages, they are still languages of Europe. They are no less European than English, German, French, or any number of fellow European languages.
I watched it yesterday. One of the most haunting and deepest movies I have ever seen. I'd certainly recommend.
Where can we watch it?
@@knlsha I have no idea, unfortunately.

This looks great.

It's on the festival circuit in Canada, I'm going tonight....if there's a film fest near you check their schedule.

I saw it twice this week. Just as moving the second time. Haunting and thought provoking, but not comfortable viewing.
You only live up to 49? What is this Logan's run?

it's rotoscoping, which has a really long history - if anything this is more visually similar to the TV series Undone
