I just started playing Brotato and I've been struggling with unlocking different classes, much less beating difficulty 0. After a couple false starts, I got through with this build! Really fun. Getting my attack speed from -60% to about +25% helped alot. Luck at 326 with 4 Cyberballs and a couple med turrets really helped. Ended dodge capped with decent (18 decent?) Your constant mention of the Pocket Factory, made me snag it when I saw it appear after wave 7 (couldn't actually afford to buy it until after wave 8, though). All in all, in addition to unlocking difficulty 1, I unlocked Ghost, One-Armed and Lich. Should be fun.
Just a note, repairing a severely decreased stat like attack speed here is super strong. In the case of lucky with the -60% base, getting it to 0% more than doubles your attack stat
Absolutely! That's something I mention a lot in these guides, you always want to increase your lowest stat. Especially true with a weapon with very slow base attack speed like the rock!
This is false. As covered in Aros Brotato guide, negative attack speed is less impactful than positive attack speed. In extreme cases on weapons like Fist, going from -60 to 0 is only a 10-17% dps increase. Stick is 30 something%. So you get way less than the standard 1% dps increase per point of attack speed.
Who would have thought a rock would be that good . Finished the level so easily, because he's lucky he kind of gets everything he needs out of the shop and he makes so much money . Awesome guide mate Thank You .
Lucky is one of the snowball'iest characters in the game, if you can get going you get a run like this but there are far more runs where you're at like level 5, the enemies are far outpacing your damage and you just lose...
Super cool. I was trying to do a landmine/turret build with Lucky, and it didn't work out. But I have a hard time with the subtle movement, which you I notice you don't. Something I need to work on. Keep these coming!
I think the engineering build on Lucky actually struggles because engineering builds use their weapons a lot for wave clear in the early waves, so the attack speed is a real penalty, so I like the pure defensive power of rocks. Thanks so much!
who is the worst character in your opinion? i am a new player and you seem to be a great experienced one i like your video btw. it's good. had many frustrations with the character trying to force slingshots to work
Thanks! Check my character tier list for my opinion on the strongest and weakest characters! It's a little outdated but should still give you a good idea which are best/worst
I finally got a run where I got enough defense to make it past wave 11-12 and now I'm still cruising easy at wave 35 hahaha. My cute elephants did over 2 million damage so far...
I'll try the rock approach - my first few tries on 5 were with sticks but I had the absolute WORST luck (odd given the character) with weapon upgrades - had one purple and the rest blue at the final wave and I couldn't put enough damage into the bosses to kill them. Died at 7 seconds left.
They don't - cyberball only scales off of luck and %damage. Explosion damage mostly only applies to things like mines and rocket launchers that make the white flashing explosion graphic, and the attacks of weapons with the explosive tag (whether or not they explode on that attack).
Every time you pick up a material, you have a chance to deal damage. If there's no enemies on the field when you do, you lose out on that potential damage
Finally beet him and it was with sticks. not sure if I was just unlucky with the rocks or maybe the fact that I didnt even bother trying to kill elites when I did the stick run.
Emm, you do not lose 2 max HP when combining tier III rocks to tier IV? How did you get this and from? EDIT: ahh, you said that in relation to buying tier I rock, my mistake!
Thanks for the help. I'll give it a shot. Been trying to make Slingshots work as I've had some really awesome builds in Danger 4 but not so with 5. *After trying Rocks it seems Slingshots was easier but maybe because I'm on mobile, or I just suck. Been trying for a week now.
slingshots are the best weapon in the game imo so will go great with almost any character. I haven't played brotato on mobile but I imagine it is much harder, so danger 4 wins seem really impressive to me!
Worst character in the game? To me he seems like one of the strongest characters in the game. I played him as an engineer so that the negative attack speed doesn't do anything. I bought a couple of XP items to balance out his negative start XP and otherwise just bought luck and engineering items and a little bit of defensive stuff. I was almost literally invincible, due to the amount of consumables dropped. Also, get every item that deals damage based on luck. (dealing damage when an enemy dies and when picking up material) I Ended my run with over 400 luck.
Every other character so far, no more than a handful of runs before i win on danger 5. Then i get to this guy. Without question the most trash character in the game, period. Literally been doing runs with him for 5 hours, trying every thing I can. Simply impossible. Damage, falls off late. Survivability, non-existent (and if you try and improve it at all then you wont have enough damage to win). Fun, out the window. Got to pick up items to do damage, oh but wait, cant pick up items unless you do damage and kill stuff, oh but then there's the issue of not having the ability to scale anything besides luck. So what the actual fuck! 35 minutes later I finally won. Basically just got a god run. I just got super lucky in almost every shop. Appropriate I suppose
Dude, you must have redone this like 200X. 2nd shop and you have 6 rocks, 1 lemonade, weird food, a monkey and baby elephant. thats not coincidence anymore. with this start you can win with almost any char....
Thanks! Unfortunately I'm not set up to handle business inquiries at the moment, so if you have something private to discuss I probably can't help you. Anything about the game or my videos I'm happy to talk about here though!
Awesome guide. Best D5 with rocks today. I’ve gotten so much better at this game since watching your videos so Thankyou
This is the exact type of video I’ve been looking for! Great work and thanks for the tips
Awesome, glad it helped!
True me too
I love your videos, you made playing Brotato much more easy and enjoyable for me! Thank you very much

"Rock and roll, and roll for rocks, and keep on rolling..." ... I died.
Definitely one of the quotes of all time
Very informative as usual, thank you for all the guides

Great guide on this one, and this is indeed a "Lucky" run as well lol
Thanks so much :D
Nice, doesn’t the piercing bullet work on turrents?
You are my go to eveytime I need to learn a new tater.

I was wondering why did you not pick up the bean teacher at 26:57
Why rocks over slingshot? Great video, love your content
God tier rng made lucky look like a reasonable run of a normal character
Super cool. I was trying to do a landmine/turret build with Lucky, and it didn't work out. But I have a hard time with the subtle movement, which you I notice you don't. Something I need to work on. Keep these coming!

Hey - would You say it was a really High Roller Game? 😅 Never had so much Luck.
Haha exactly! Gotta embrace the spirit of the class!
damn i did this run with you and was doing unreal damage. i killed both elites on wave 20 with ease hahaha tyyy
Lucky living up to his name with that shop at the end of wave 7
No kidding!

Thanks! Having a hard time with this guy tbh. If anyone reads this make sure to comment for the algorithm ☝️
Thanks to you! Hope the guide helps :D

Just love your video guides!
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words :)
a great guide and very fun to watch

I noticed you weren't taking explosion modifiers. Do these not synergise with Cyberball?
They don't - cyberball only scales off of luck and %damage. Explosion damage mostly only applies to things like mines and rocket launchers that make the white flashing explosion graphic, and the attacks of weapons with the explosive tag (whether or not they explode on that attack).
What do you mean about the material being wasted if you don’t deal dmg?
Every time you pick up a material, you have a chance to deal damage. If there's no enemies on the field when you do, you lose out on that potential damage
@@Cephalopocalypse oh duh my bad, so really only an issue in those early waves
Cool video. Thanks
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Actually the passive damage does hit trees, Idk if that's only in mobile, which I play on, or even in PC
Finally beet him and it was with sticks. not sure if I was just unlucky with the rocks or maybe the fact that I didnt even bother trying to kill elites when I did the stick run.
Nice! Sticks are a top tier weapon with a lot of the bonuses rocks have, and more damage to get the chain started. Definitely not a bad choice at all!
Why does he have items I don't? I've beat danger 5..
Great guide :)
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
Impossible if you're too slow or there are too less enemies at boss fights.
I'm here for any, if not all, The Rock quotes in this thread. If you smell, what Brotato is cooking
Jumanji! wait am I doing this right
@@Cephalopocalypse it may need some tweaking, but we'll run with it
Pocket factory is definitely my fave item in the game!
I buy it way more than I should because it's so fun
Emm, you do not lose 2 max HP when combining tier III rocks to tier IV? How did you get this and from?
EDIT: ahh, you said that in relation to buying tier I rock, my mistake!
Yep! Most of the time you'll be replacing the one you combined so it will be fine
Crazy vid... Thanks m8
Tried this once(!!) and got to round 29! Lol nice
It's funny, this toons play style just fits me, tried a few and this was my first danger 5, it's play style was just natural to me
It took me 20 hours of play to finally beat the game once. With the lucky character after first attempt. So definitely not the worst character
Thanks for the help. I'll give it a shot. Been trying to make Slingshots work as I've had some really awesome builds in Danger 4 but not so with 5.

I just died on wave 14 with this character. I literally found 1 cyberball and 0 baby elephants lol. kinda unlucky 😂
Just done this with the Lute from the DLC. Absolutely broken
If you have the elephant and the robot ball it can go hardcore
Worst character in the game? To me he seems like one of the strongest characters in the game.

Dope
Good
Sticks are better for this build. I lost one too many times using the rock. No offense.
I think rock is better because it builds some defense early on so you can invest in other things.
Thi is honestly one of the most frustrating characters to play.
Dude, you must have redone this like 200X. 2nd shop and you have 6 rocks, 1 lemonade, weird food, a monkey and baby elephant. thats not coincidence anymore. with this start you can win with almost any char....
