Last week I got cut off in traffic by an old guy who failed to signal as he made a right turn in front of me. He was next to me going down hill in a full sized SUV! This was not an accident, this was a collision/wreak! We made eye contact as he sped up. I got hit on the left side of my body, and propelled into a break wall. I was only doing 36 at this time. He hit me doing 40 mph. Good thing I was geared up with knee/shin guards, motorcycle jacket, gloves and a modular full faced helmet. Had I not been geared up.....damn, it would’ve been a geared up, it could’ve been fatal. Body still is banged up because of the impact of hitting a brick wall and being hit by the SUV. Please, please,please...Gear Up! 🤙🏾🤙🏾👍🏾

it's a honda Grom..... the specs are everywhere. It's not intended to be a powerful bike, and I think the Grom is maybe 150cc (just checked 124cc on paper). They are fun bikes, and good for smaller riders or people who want something to trick with that won't crush them if they go down lol
DiCarlo Thompson - Thanks for the info. On a side note, electric dirt bikes are getting pretty good for the price. A Sur-Ron X with an upgraded BMS comtroller can do 75mph. Bike-$3600 / BMS controller $700. If you swap the battery with a 72v pack ($1500) it increases top speed to over 80mph and improves the 0-60 time significantly.
@@__-pl3jg that's nuts, but only novel in theory. There's no way I could justify shelling out more than 5k on an ebike that still only does 80, when I can get 3 year old 300cc bike for the same with higher top speed and range. You could gear that little thing to pull like a race horse and sacrifice some top end and still be in better shape I think. Electric is cool... But I don't think it can replace fuel for things like motorcycles due to limited space. At the end of the day, new batteries would cost more than a second bike lol

Currently extra battery packs for that Sur-Ron are about $1000 for 60v oem or $1700 for 72v aftermarket packs. If/when Samsung, Panasonic, or Tesla FINALLY create new generation batteries the cost should go down and capacity go up. I think that will be the sweet spot where more people will start converting to electric.
Boi you dont need a liscense at least we can go somewhere we want with the scooter and should be the future of life. It is worth the speed and i love fast speed when oneday their is traffic then thats the good scooter to go xd
Miles E it can’t. You have to rig out carrying ability/seat/etc. carrying a 50 lb backpack everywhere really wears on you especially with those speeds and screws up stability. You can get a scooter with good service 2 year warranty and close to instant refill with many gas scooters for

I think what we will likely have with electric in the next 5-10 years or so if people actually work to be competitive and engineer cool solutions will be much better. However at this exact moment for your average user it’s just going to be a lot more practical to have a gas scooter for
here in singapore, we have a community of scooter riders, we modify our scooters to have crazy top speeds, the highest top speed we've achieved is 144km/h or abit higher. just saying, that scooter is not the worlds fastest, but if you modded it, it probably be faster.

It is kinda fast on the crosswalk, but when the road goes wider it feels slower. But 30 is actually pretty nice, not too fast nor too slow. I just ordered a new one that does 45kmh and 60km on full battery. The old one only does 20kmh, and thats slow... also it fucks with the mileage, so the new one seems cool
