I've visited several retirement homes for family members and even worked in one for a while. Yours however, is special. Thank you for your work, for helping the elderly have a beautiful encore to their life. I wish everyone could spend their last years in a place like yours.
@@YesTheoryI think they understood anyway ahaha!! Btw I had a taxi ride with cockney reg 2 days ago in London because of you guys - was an amazing encounter 💖
6 minutes in and i'm in tears.. Steffan is the best.. I am so happy he was found and brought into the family.. ok, video finished and tears are streaming.. such a beautiful video
Hey guys, love this video. I'm a doctor, preparing for residency training. My dream by the end of my career is to build a old folks center and an orphanage/foster center side by side. This will allow our elders to have company of children, which they love, and will give our children caring grandparents. Its my dream, I promise if i live long enough I will do it!!
This is insane because after watching this video this morning I went to a local home and asked to just interact with people and I was allowed, I was there for 3 hours and I must admit I learned a lot of new things and had an amazing time, I plan on returning my next day off. Thanks for inspiring me to step out my comfort zone and do something I wouldn’t have done ever.
I'm next after you. Bringing my 8 month old baby this week to meet some older, wiser folks and spread some smiles and joy. This is humanity. This is community.
@@YesTheory you guys have inspired me in more ways than one to explore and say yes to things. i just sent an email to a local retirement home to become a volunteer. I've always had a soft spot for the elderly and always wanted to volunteer and this video sorta gave me the last push
It's astonishing how sharp and quick-witted Dorothy is at 102 year old. She's always so quick to come up with a funny answer. Great sense of humor too.
When he said you ladies look beautiful to Patricia and Barbara I started crying at her “no one has said that in a lot of years”. You are such a kind soul to bring them that reminder of love☺️
This really does change my perspective of what it means to be 80, 90, 100 years old. I always though living to 80 would be a great feat, but now I'm realizing that's still so young, there is a lot of life to be lived well into our later years.
If there's a will, there's a way! Retirement or aging doesn't have to be boring. We encourage our residents to stay engaged by asking them what they want to do next. That'll be the question you'll have to ask yourself in your later years, thanks for watching!
At 50 I feel like I'm still approaching middle age. Figuring out how to get healthy was important though. Proper diet, physical activity, and social connections.
Who would've thought a weekday trip to the city to celebrate these lovely women would lead to such an adventure!! SO honored to be a part of this. Meeting Dorothy, Patricia and Barbara made our month! A group of us went to their retirement home on Friday to spend time with the residents. We had such a good time, had great conversations, and were given so much sage advice. One of us was even adopted by one of the women 😄 Thank you Ammar and Staffan for allowing us to be a part of this ❤
That you guys went to the retirement home after we been there is 🥹 And the adoption story shows that everyone in the Yes Fam Community can be adopted by an elder 😎
Thank you Ashley and to the other amazing volunteers who visited after the surprise celebration! Your support made a lasting impact on the residents and to The Redwoods team! #volunteerheroes
31 years old male and I can’t stop crying. May god give you strength to keep doing what you guys are doing and putting smiles on people. God bless Yes Theory
This might be my all time favorite yes theory video. There are incredible stories you guys share from all over the world, but this one hit different. Seeing the excitement on their faces over a bus ride, walking into a group of young people with smiles and arms wide open was a beautiful thing to see. This retirement home is actually local to me and makes me want to go volunteer to hear these stories and experience this level of joy and acceptance just from showing up. I cant wait to see this Australian adventure
You won't regret it! You can learn so much from them, and they really just want to feel and experience a little excitement in their life and possibly gain a new friend along the way. Hearing their life experiences alone are worth millions to the ones that truly listen. I miss working with the elderly. It was such an amazing feeling to know that I was making their last days special, and they were making mine healthier. Often, they give advice that will really make you think about your own life path. I wish you the best, and I hope you do visit them. You won't regret it. ❤

I love Dorothy, Patricia, and Barbara. What a trio! Giving Dorothy a trip to Australia is beautiful, what a kind thing to do for such a lovely lady. She took the Queen Mary boat over to Europe post WW2 with a another lady. I think of all the changes she has seen in her life time. She never married. The stories she has. I am so grateful my kids got to know her. She went to Green Bay Packer games till she was in her late 80's with her sister who recently passed at 86. She too was a teacher and never married. This has to be the most heart-warming amaing video I have ever watched on YT. It was absolutely beautiful and has inspired me to get in touch with my local retirement home to see if I can volunteer and be a buddy to the residents there. I have to comment though on Dorothy… 102 years old? She looks 70 at most?! She looks bloody fantastic!! I can only hope 1. I make it to that age and 2. I look as great and am just as lively. All the women in this video were just so full of life, inspiring and spunky! Beutiful people. So inspirational. Thank you Yes Theory and I can’t wait for the next video!!
Everything about this video was so pure. The genuine joy and happiness you brought to these seniors was so heartwarming, and I loved what the CEO said about having an encore. Happy tears, more content like this please!!!

I’m in tears 😅 there are so many things we can learn from the elderly. Staffan and Ammar and your team, Thank you so much for showing and spreading love to this world!! ❤ can’t wait for the next episode 🫶
I've been volunteering with the elderly and worked with them for years. Many have such great stories and experiences, and just spending 10 minutes talking to someone can make their week. If you go to a cafe on your own and see an elderly person sitting by themselves, please go up, ask to join them and chat to them. I used to work in a cafe where a lot of elderly came once a week just to get some human interaction, and it is soo rewarding to get to know them or introduce them to another regular customer.
I miss my grandma. She's in heaven now, and seeing this video makes me miss her even more. What I've learned is to always be thankful for the time you still have with your grandparents. They don't stay here forever, so treasure every moment with them. ❤
This video got me incredibly emotional. My grandma lived with us and was my best friend when I was growing up. She eventually moved into a retirement home that was more of an apartment building, more independent living. They’d gather in the community center in the building for events and such too. I loved visiting my grandma there, and she was always so excited to introduce me to all her friends- she knew everybody! 🥲 She passed 6 years ago, and I miss her dearly. The elderly have always had a warm place in my heart bc of my Grandma Grace. I’m glad you got to fulfill this dream of visiting a retirement home, Staffan 🫶🏻😊
My grandmother is 91 years old and every morning I call her and have a check in with her and I think it’s amazing what you did for these amazing women ❤
Beautiful humans with beautiful souls...I mean truly in a word full of disheartening happenings You will still find that humanity still does exist.May God bless the entire team of Yes theory.

I’m glad you made this video! I’m 16 and love talking to the elderly! I interview WW2 Korea and VN war veterans and hearing their stories is always incredible!
This was beautiful, thank you so much for giving Dorothy, Patricia, and Barbara this experience, and for sharing it with us. I feel so moved and can't wait to see Dorothy's trip to Australia!!! There's really nothing like the YesFam ❤
Stefan! Way to make my cry for half of the video, I lost my 88 yr old great grandmother last year and that was a hard hit, currently my grandma faubert is 93 and JUST this year retired. Shes crisp and clear and has been a realtor all her life, she's looking into moving out by me because we are close and into a nursing home. Whenever she moves here and I go to visit her, I'm gonna try and be like Stefan and make everyone around, not just my grandma, feel appreciated
Such a heartwarming celebration of life, brought me some tears yet again! Seeing how excited the ladies were to be going on an adventure, making new connections and seriously amazing to see how much energy they have, would never have guessed their age This beautiful cant wait to see part 2 !
Thank you @YesTheory for thinking outside the box and giving those incredible elderly people the chance to feel young and alive again. Your videos are a reminder to all of us that good things can happen and that we each have the power to contribute to that positivity. I truly admire the adventures you create and the dreams you make come true for others. You're such an inspiration, and I hope to one day inspire people the way you do! Keep spreading the magic! 💛

My sister works at a retirement home. I volunteer often. It's incredibly sad how beautiful personalities get forgotten by their loved ones. Please take time out of your busy life ..send flowers, make a visit. Promise you it makes a difference
This has a big "OG Yes Theory" vibe to it and I love it! Please more of this kind of stuff including strangers and taking them on adventures!
Yea please. Less cults, Ufos and conspiracy theories more happy, connections and experiences OG style.

11:06 Patricia happy birthday to beautiful women! Hearing her say “no one said that for many years” kinda broke me. Just such quick comment probably made her day 😢❤ just beautiful
I’ve been following Yes Theory for nearly seven years, and I have to say, this video touched me in a way I can’t quite put into words. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I’m sitting here, tears streaming down my face-not of sadness, but pure joy and gratitude. Thank you for creating something so profoundly moving and sharing it with all of us :)
I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so much at one video. We all need to be so grateful for life itself.
Thank you Yes Theory and I can’t wait for the next video!!
the fact she gets to go Australia at 102 is just so beautiful ❤
one last thing she thought she'd never do and she gets to do it ❤

You guys from Yes Theory melt my heart ❤ You showcase the good and loving aspects of all people no matter what their age is. You are so correct in saying there is so much knowledge in people as they age. I literally have tears in my eyes. Thank you so much for caring. If everybody on this planet would spend 10 minutes a day showing appreciation of those around them , we’d be a better world.
Yes theory you must make this into a series PLEASE! If anyone deserves these surprises it’s by far the elderly!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The fact that we get free videos on UA-cam by Yes Theory is truly a gift; keeping education and knowledge alive 🤷

All of these elderly are such beautiful kind people
For people who wonders what the show staffan is talking about, its called Kan du vissla johanna. Its extremely wholesome and its aired every Christmas!
Denise!!! The whole filipino medical allied are so proud of you. Your hard work and perseverance reflects on how the redwood community is managed. So proud of yo!!! Thank you Yes Theory for featuring such a teary and touching stories like this. 👍👍
I’m in tears 😅 there are so many things we can learn from the elderly. Staffan and Ammar and your team, Thank you so much for showing and spreading love to this world!! ❤ can’t wait for the next episode 🫶
Dorothy is an amazing person... Old people are really sweet. We should be kind and respectful to them. Awesome vlog yes theory. Thank you 😊
I've been volunteering with the elderly and worked with them for years.
I absolutely LOVE all these sweet elderly people full of such personality! The birthday party was so precious! I can’t wait for the next episode! ❤
I miss my grandma. She's in heaven now, and seeing this video makes me miss her even more. What I've learned is to always be thankful for the time you still have with your grandparents. They don't stay here forever, so treasure every moment with them. ❤
I'm grateful to hear from you Dorothy, Patricia and Barbara. Your joy give young folks hope and especially me
Guys, you all are GREAT!!!! Every time I watch your videos I finish them with a huge smile on my face. Godspeed and greetings from northeast Brazil.
You guys have been steadily keeping up the streak of getting me to cry at every single video for the past 3 odd years now.
Wow this is one of the best episodes yet. Loved it and they all deserved to be treated a beautiful day out filled with beautiful people ❤
My grandmother is 91 years old and every morning I call her and have a check in with her and I think it’s amazing what you did for these amazing women ❤
Beautiful humans with beautiful souls...I mean truly in a word full of disheartening happenings You will still find that humanity still does exist.May God bless the entire team of Yes theory.
This is absolutely wonderful. Thanks for doing this for Dorothy, Patricia and Barbara, they seem so lovely and totally deserve it. Hope everyone has had an amazing weekend
This is the most heartwarming thing i have watched in a long time and cried so many happy tears because of the beautiful ladies you met. If i look half as incredible as they do at their age i’ll be happy. Cant wait for the next installment of the trip to Oz with young Dorothy❤
Just on watching this video made me tear. My grandma passed way this year in June. It gave me joy on this video by knowing the good memories I had with my grandma so yes theory, thank you & stay bless everyone 🙏
I’m glad you made this video! I’m 16 and love talking to the elderly! I interview WW2 Korea and VN war veterans and hearing their stories is always incredible!
You guys are the best. I’m smiling. I’m laughing. I’m crying. Happiest of vibes connecting with our older generation.

@yestheory Im BEGGING you please! Take the other two ladies to Australia aswell, they looked like the perfect comedy trio!
Just another Sunday crying for strangers on the internet 💙 I cannot wait for part 2
Such a heartwarming celebration of life, brought me some tears yet again! Seeing how excited the ladies were to be going on an adventure, making new connections and seriously amazing to see how much energy they have, would never have guessed their age

Your videos are a reminder to all of us that good things can happen and that we each have the power to contribute to that positivity.
