A Tranquil Early Autumn Walk in a Cotswold Village

- So, today we are out and about walking in the Cotswold village of Brockhampton which is part of Sevenhampton's parish and is in the county of Gloucestershire, England. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 349 across 157 households. The River Coln is fairly close to Brockhampton. There are no amenities in the village apart from the village hall (Rhodes Memorial Hall).
Just under 10 minutes into the video, I did a camera move that may seem a little unorthodox (like a lot of my camera moves maybe!), it was done to avoid seeing a building site...just in case you were wondering :)
Also, at around 18:26 a power lead became disconnected which also caused some slight sound issues (before & after) so, sorry for that but thankfully it was not severe enough to warrant scrapping the video.
There is just one hidden OAAW logo within this video...can you spot it?

I love the two silver mannequins. They are often in different places in the field. Last Sat one was on the floor face down the other looked like it was towering over it.

How lovely to experience this peaceful, early-morning autumn walk! (Early morning is my favorite time of day). One thing I especially appreciate about your channel is that you feel no need to dub in music, as so many creators of nature-based videos do. I am a musician myself, so it is not that I don’t like music- but I feel that nature has its own “music” (ie: the birds) whose beauty far exceeds even the most exquisite of music that people can create. Thanks for letting us hear nature’s “songs”! 🙂

And like you say the birdsongs provide the perfect soundtrack. Occasionally, I do use music but only when I really think it is needed and I always write my own stuff, so that way it feels more personal to me plus no worries about royalties & copyrights etc. Many thanks and all the best. @@janetryan9779 oh yes definitely a gift indeed, sadly not one that I wholly possess. I did add a little bit of my own music towards the end of the ‘CalmScapes’ video here on the channel, I did it in this instance just to add a little atmosphere as the video wound down to the end. It would be interesting to know what you think of it? If you get chance at some point. I hope you do not mind me asking but do you play in a band or orchestra, or perhaps you work from home? I did listen to that video with the musical ending, and the music was nice….pleasant and not at all distracting from the scenery.
I am not a music professional, just a dedicated and enthusiastic amateur.
I play with a couple of non-performing (for the most part) ensembles, and do some historical interpretation involving music (for which we do perform). It’s all great fun. : )

Hi OAAW, another serene and relaxing walk, thank you. All the hedges, fields, and nature strips are so green. Here in South East Queensland the lawns and footpaths are brown and dry. When you walk on the grass it crunches beneath your feet. You can hear the crunch noise. Enjoy your day.

Wow someone's a parcel of sheep, too many to count, imagine all of them bleating at once, soul cleansing sound. Very remarkable village this, unique architecture and placement. Say, 🚶was camouflaged really well, colorized to blend into the window slats near perfectly. Poor lady, saw a wisp of her skirt, shy she be or like me hasn't combed her hair yet, the frazzle look😶🌫️. Me hubby neverminds, perhaps never notices so long as I hit the floor running.... I uh hit the floor sure, but me stiff legs protest til I reach the kitchen where the "get him ready to go to work" tasks await, or maybe it's the click of a button thence smell of dark roast coffee er caffeine acookin'. Cold 🧊 in your parts yet Sir🕶️? Thanksgiving Day 🦃 48hrs away for us, had all me ingredients ready for Chicken Molé, Spanish rice, Pintos but yesterday me hubby called saying his whole well crew each were gifted a turkey. I asked ifn I needed to kill it and pluck it cause that wouldn't happen for I'd give it a name and make a pet outta it. He said no, twere a store frozen. So's me I take off for appropriate fixens liken corn cobs and green beans, stuffing mixings, apple and pumpkin pies etc but the bird when he set it on counter was rock hard, takes 4 days to thaw so tweety and fixens stowed for Christmas. Welp, gotta get to preping Chocolate 🐔, t'isnt sweet you see as sauce made of hot peppers and plain cocoa. Highly addictive food. Oh but I shouldn't be tantalizing you and 🚶thataway cuz doggone ifn yas live 7,000 miles away across an ocean moat. 😋 Do you really know Sir🕶️, how incredibly lucky you are to live in Cotswold? Me I never knew of such a grand area was on this Earth. When I'm reincarnated, that be where I gonna be planted. I mean it!

Good day, Jaclyn. Sheep ahoy! Did you see what I did there? I should be on stage (Sweeping it! 😆). Yep, plenty of our woolly friends on hand to kickstart our walk. Do you go out and about walking in your area very often? I can visualise big & wide open spaces as far as the eye can see which I also imagine to be fairly flat, unlike this neck of the woods - Valleys a plenty here! Sounds like you are being even busier today than usual! And yes you probably would, I know for fact I would not be able to do the necessary either! It has warmed up somewhat here, temperatures in to double figures currently but it has also been wet which is 😎. I certainly never take this beautiful area for granted, love everything about it! So the answer to your question is yes, I do :). Hair done yet Lady Jaclyn? Oh, I have only received 2 notifications today about 2 comments from you, no extras this end. BTW, that external drive came up with errors again yesterday, so I ran the scan & repair tool again, this time it successfully repaired it. Have fun. OAAW

I forgot about those scan and repair softwares but only because never had to use one, me son built me first pc (decades ago, I won't disclose how many), 🧐checks it now and then usually downloading whatever softwares, only rebuilt it twice, 🤨once cuz it drowned from sticky creamy chocolatey coffee that somehow fell from the sky gumming every working part 😭, again to upgrade with new tech master disc that's sonic speed 🛸 plus high graded softwares to match. He's a gadget nut; why, weekend last he invited me to lunch at his house and pulled out the old Nintendo (from 30+yrs ago) and we took off Mario Carting, me I always choose the 🦍 and always lose every darn race level🦨.
