About Lycoris Recoil:
For these peaceful days――there’s a secret behind it all.
A secret organization that prevents crimes: “DA - Direct Attack”.
And their group of all-girl agents: “Lycoris”.
This peaceful everyday life is all thanks to these young girls.
The elite Chisato Nishikigi is the strongest Lycoris agent of all time.
Alongside is Takina Inoue, the talented but mysterious Lycoris.
They work together at one of its branches-Café LycoReco.
Here, the orders this café takes range from coffee and sweets to childcare, shopping, teaching Japanese to foreign students, etc.
It's mostly tasks unbefitting of Lycoris.
The free-spirited and optimistic pacifist, Chisato.

This has honestly been my favorite show this season. The chemistry between the two main characters puts a big dumb grin on my face.

The pacing was really great i didn't even knew when 4hrs passed by and i completed the entire season!! Loved the VA's, the animation,art,the story!!

Honestly, this had no reason to be this good. I never expect anything from the "anime girls with guns" trope
It has its highs and lows, like any other genre. For example, season 1 of Gunslinger Girls is easily one of my favourite series out there, by a margin.

A lot of people recommended this show, and yet after watching this trailer, I still have no idea what its about beyond "teenage girls with guns."
You might like Gunslinger Girl too. It’s darker, but amazing. At least the first season for sure. But some are still pre-pubescent girls.

Hot takes: While the characters are very well written, the ending is so predictable that it was a letdown.

Chisato is a great my main character, don't get me wrong. I understand her reason for refusing to kill despite being trained as an Assassin since childhood (and it wasn't her fault that she has the natural talent to be one). I love her chemistry with Takina and her (somewhat) mutual respect for Majima, they really handle it really well. I also love how they handled her when the truth finally came out to her.
But not killing her in the final episode kind of ruined...basically all the build up they prepared themselves for the climax. Like, what was the point of giving Chisato all those problems regarding her heart if the story will end up with happy ending anyway? Chisato herself wanted her friends to move on even after her death (She even wanted Mika to keep the cafe open after her death, Takina to continue her duty as Lycoris, Mizuko to keep looking out for lover). It would be a quite bittersweet ending for them to do that. But no, the author decided to go with "Everyone's alive route", ignoring everything that they laid in the previous episode.
It's still a good anime due to Chisato carrying the series on her back, but the plot makes me put this anime into the "not worth rewatching" list, once is enough no matter how much I love Chisato.

I don't like the your version of ending.
I just did some quick googling and apparently spider lily flowers symbolize death and rebirth/reincarnation, and while it is kind of fitting for the finale, it is kinda strange that despite Yoshimatsu tried to normalize killing for Chisato, the heart was given up to her anyway in the end, so it does sort of feel pointless.
I'm happy with the ending we have, but I can see why it would let some people down.
