The only problem that I see: You discovered so many other game winning combos with this deck that it doesn't actually need Nadir Kraken. In fact, I feel like that's the thing you won with the least. Regardless, as you kinda said, sweet deck is an understatement!
Seth, you should run a Jace for those kind of matchups when opponent can wrath you multiple times. It's like instant gg against those when you Go all in Krasis or something
I clicked on the video thinking "kraken combo sounds fun!" ...then i see the video is 2 hours long ...then i watch the first game and its almost 30 min long ...and the opponent scoops after game 1 cuz they dont wanna go through another round of the deck I think i've found my MTGA torture device

The final turns of game 1 were super painful. He had enough cards and power to present lethal, get wrathed, present lethal again about 4 times over, but instead he played it all into the first wrath then commented that it was super close and there was nothing else he could have done.

I was thinking the same. A draw galore deck that revolves around Kenrith. It should be more refined but the nyxbloom package is dicey: you have kenrith x2 to 4, then 4x nyxbloom, 2-4x emergency power and 4x tithe, it's hard to make a working all around shell around it. To be honest even the thassa oracle win is derpy.
After watching all 4 matches I would prolly cut a nadir kraken for 3 mana teferi, seems more important for pushing the combo through, Oracle seems unnecessary as Seth was able to mill out the opponent twice with kenrith plus tithe. Or whatever cut a ramp enchantment for oracle

Nyxborn ancient + kenriths + thithe + narset + emergency Powers on top of some uros, teferis and wraths to survive the early game and this deck would be super solid. Also maybe self discard to reanimate the nyxborn and throw some of those 7 Mana thiefs.

MrCytree yup. That blue white player got super punished by running only trawler as win con. Nissa also struggles to win thru infinite 1/1s on the ground. Deck was much more effective than I thought going in
I feel like the krakens are a sideboard card. Nissa, krasis, and the kenrith nyxbloom tithe combo seems plenty strong. With an extra kenrith and some mainboard interaction I imagine this deck would quickly lose underdog status.
Just a FYI; Emergency Powers is an Instant. Sure, the "put a permanent into play that costs 7 or less" is a great bonus, but being able to successfully cast it against control when they are tapped out is fantastic with smothering tithes on the table.
Yes! I am a combo player at heart and I love this deck. I like the Tithe/Powers engine again like Smothering Storm. The Ancient does some work, congratulations on an awesome build @SaffronOlive! I hope to see more crazy combo decks from you in the future.
Just want to point out, for anyone else who might run this deck, that double nyx bloom, kenrith, and smothering tide also can make the opponent draw out their deck. Or force your opponent to draw and let you draw infinitely if you want to combo out yourself
I love you seth puntsaplenty. You had several times where you had the game with the kraken combo you described and you're like "don't run out kraken" "decline all kraken triggers" Like its doing what you want! Do it!
I'd like to point out at 1:18:50, when you were already had 2 Ancients, you could have just killed them on the spot by making the opponent draw cards. Not ideal, but at that point you had won.
I clicked on this video without seeing the time stamp first. I was doing some homework with this in the background and I was thinking "this video should be over soon." Then I moved the mouse over the video, and I saw that I still had an hour left.
I honestly loved this. Blue White control, and Blue, White, Green control have been running rampant. Even with all of their Control spells, and boring ass unfair ways of winning, you toppled them. This made my heart feel SOOOOOO good watching those decks pull out all the stops, only to be over come.One thing I've noticed with you is that you underestimate your own ability to play sometimes. Even though I've seen you make mistakes here and there throughout your many videos, you still play at a high level.If you ever do a pro tour, you'd be my favorite pick every time. This is the longest episode by far. Normally I try to keep them around an hour, but in this one it took almost 3.5 hours to play just four matches (and one of them our opponent scooped after game one). The deck is not fast.
@@MTGGoldfish you could definetely speed up some thing by changing the auto-ordering, tapping, etc. options when you are going through a big loop where they don't matter, like the kenrith mill combo.

@MTGGoldfish Seth, this seems so nice, but did you considder going black for underworld dreams instead. When you activate the combo you just win right away. You can sprinkle a nyxbloom or 2 just to generate more mana. And also folio of fancies works like a charm and like a wincon. Gotta try this at some point, when i got enough wildcards. My deck uses the aforementioned cards, and many boardwipes just to buy some time.

So, a more balanced version of your The Great Aurora deck from back in SOI standard. Gain a bunch of life, make a bunch of land drops, reshuffle the library and play things for free while your opponent just sits and watches and is frustrated. I remember, because I 5-0'd my FNM two weeks in a row with that deck.
Forcing your opponent to slowly, gradually draw their entire deck one at a time with Kenrith might just be the most brutal thing I've ever seen in MTG...
Never have I wanted to play standard as much as I do now.... lol! Question, why not have a second kenrith in the sideboard just Incase they have a way to permanently get rid of it?

I can kind of understand it, just stacking triggers might cause the opponent to DC (especially on mobile, which is planned to be released this year)
This combo is the equivalent of dragging your opponent's face through a cheese grater. IRL, it would be the annihilator of sleeves too.

So, a more balanced version of your The Great Aurora deck from back in SOI standard. Gain a bunch of life, make a bunch of land drops, reshuffle the library and play things for free while your opponent just sits and watches and is frustrated. I remember, because I 5-0'd my FNM two weeks in a row with that deck.
Forcing your opponent to slowly, gradually draw their entire deck one at a time with Kenrith might just be the most brutal thing I've ever seen in MTG...
