ok question for you although im not sure you are the one to ask since you dont follow regulations but if im fishing there am i following zone 17 or 18? because i think the river splits those two areas so does it depend what side of the river im fishing on and is there no fishing from the damn southwards at certain times for any fish even if its like white bass which is not regulated?
I grew up there. Big musky in the summer. There are ruins right there that used to be an ammunition factory a long time ago. The hills right across the river are an old dump, which are full of sulphur clumps used in munitions manufacturing.
good haul!! gotta the the dam always producing! and the people that complain make me laugh, us natives have been fishing that dam for years!!! as if they think its gonna get fished out lol
I apologize if I am asking wrong questions 1- what is the exact location? 2- Are you allowed to spear? 3- what is the reason for red hook you guys were using just above jig?
Treble hook is probably for snagging, I understand natives can pretty much do what they want but at a certain point it could be damaging to the fish populations
Just saying its messed up how many you kept thats disgusting. Even for a sports license its only 4 per person how many people you got with you 10. I dont get people like this so proud to post them taking more then needed. I definitely would love to see someone share this with the ministry.
Share it to the ministry please, they can educate you on our rights as Native hunters and fishermen, we don’t fish for sport we fish for sustenance and to provide for our families.
@@jasonalloydya really. Leave some for the next native person who also has to feed the family. There's a line between getting a good amount and taking everything.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt that area a sanctuary until first Sat May?
Im confused, native?
Maybe it's like how McDonalds opens an hour earlier for Europeans only.
you are correct. He's fishing the first lock dam on the trenton river. They should not be fishing there.

Traditional methods are legal for fisherman exercising treaty rights.

@@beyondthe6ix you could most likely provide for your family when the fish aren't spawning though. Right?
