Its amazing how much I value good collar stays - I have a pair of brass ones that I love (but they can mark the material). Silver ones are lovely too but plastic ones are so simple and affordable, but all are essential to hold the collar neatly.

Great episode! Magnetic collar stays like "Wurkin' Stiffs" are a great accessory to any wardrobe. Can't really pair them with ties, but they are a great way to make your collar pop, so to speak, on a more casual outfit. Cheers!

“Sartorial Sidekicks.” Nicely done, Sonya. I also got a chuckle at the “piece of crap” comment by Hugo. I know Hugo was just saying that phrase as an example but you (Sonya) were clearly thrown off on that one LOL. Then Hugo says “did I say crap?” 😂😂😂 so much fun. Looking forward to more videos.
I use plastic shoetrees, but to deal with moisture and sweat, I use old newspapers and just stuff them inside for few hours and replace them with the shoetrees afterwards. And for collarstays, aside from the plastic ones that I will always end up losing them, I also use other various items that can fit into the slot, ranging from paperclips to toothpicks.
This is almost a year late but the shoe horn I added something to it. Mine has a hole in it and I put in some paracord to form a small loop as a key chain. The key chain thing was secondary though. I added it as a substitute button hook. Originally I just handed it to my grandparents with arthritis whenever they need it. Stick the loop in the button hole, loop around the button, turn it half a rotation and it pulls the button through just like a button hook. Later on though I often use it for my suspender buttons. I do want to get button boots in the future so I want to see if it will work on those but they work in the leather of suspenders so I don't see why they shouldn't work.
Dear Hugo. I recently bought your books (Parisian / Italian Gentleman). Many congratulations!!! Beautiful pieces of art! I just started on my Sartorial journey at the age of 52. As always, great advise & great looks. Speaking of which: Since Hugo mentioned he wanted to be a rockstar when he was young, and seeing how some of the strands of hair frame his face here, and that combined with those glasses: I really believe Hugo could rock a pair of sharply pointed sideburns al'a Anthony Bridgerton.
When I was a child we were all getting dressed for Easter church and found we didn't have a shoe horn. The emergency item for this instance is a tablespoon.

I used to travel 200 days every year…not since 2020…sigh. And your tips are excellent. Etihad Business Class gives the silk tray out on every flight. Hiya from England. One of your previous video posts recommend SAPHIR for shoe care. I purchased some last year and i am so pleased with the end results. It just makes my shoes look NEW. I love buying vintage Salvatore Ferragamo and Christian Dior shoes from the 70's and 80's The Suit Bag - This would be a good investment and last a life time. Are there any suppliers in the UK?
Loved this! The more I travel the more I enjoy making discoveries that make travel more comfortable! My favorite tip: traveling with a ‘Night Light’ to plug into the electrical outlet in or near the Bathroom to softly lighten a strange dark room and to avoid the blinding light when using the facilities in the middle of the night!
Hugo! I made a comment about the collars on your shirts being to wide and how I was not a fan of this style. Today you have redeemed yourself. Wonderful shirt and collar! Bravo 👏
I used to have a suit/garment bag a while back and loved it. It certainly makes unpacking easier. My only question is: how do you take it on the airline? I'm a photographer and my main camera gear goes on as my one carry-on. So everything else gets checked. I would think your bag must be your carry-on.... If checked, wouldn't you want something more durable?
WOW!! Hugo the Magician and his pretty elegant assistant ))))))),,,,really loved this ,moreover both of you look amazing and matching ,,,Thank you so much, Love to you from Cairo.
Maybe not a question on topic but I'm asking anyway. Hugo, did you ever have Facial hair and when was the last time your hair was short? I love your current looks and greetings from Ireland

One of your previous video posts recommend SAPHIR for shoe care. I purchased some last year and i am so pleased with the end results. It just makes my shoes look NEW. I love buying vintage Salvatore Ferragamo and Christian Dior shoes from the 70's and 80's
The Suit Bag - This would be a good investment and last a life time. Are there any suppliers in the UK?
I don't know if I'm just blind, but for the life of me I cannot find the Calabrese items on their website.
Dear Aaron, they are probably sold out. Shot an email to Annalisa (in the contact section) and she'll help you for sure. Best, Hugo & Sonya
You are both so gorgeous 🔥
You're very kind with us, thank you! Hugo & Sonya
That's a great idea James. All our best, Hugo & Sonya
Congrats on the Silver Award. The Button Button is a great tip and I love the thumbnail pic!
Many thanks J! Hugo
Do you have the link for the suit bag?
I didn’t know they were married! That’s great. Love your channel.
Many thanks Mike! Sonya and I are living together since 2012, and we are married since 2016. Much love from Bourgogne France. Hugo & Sonya
Hugo! I made a comment about the collars on your shirts being to wide and how I was not a fan of this style. Today you have redeemed yourself. Wonderful shirt and collar! Bravo 👏
CONGRATULATIONS SARTORIAL FOR THE UA-cam SILVER AWARD
Many thanks Bern! Now you have to subscribe to help us reach a million 😂 ! Cheers, Hugo & Sonya
@@SARTORIALTALKS sure I am already a subscriber to this wonderful family. Thanks for always giving us the best ❤️
Knowledge and style. It is a joy to learn from you both, love from Australia. All the best.
Thank you so much for your kindness. Love from Bourgogne France. Hugo & Sonya
Highly recommend everyone learns to shine their shoes but as an Oregonian, I gotta say I’m biased toward Pure Polish!
Of course Mathew, it's always good to consume as local as you can. All the best, Hugo
So good to have you two back! By the way, I want shoes just like Sonya is wearing in this video. Does that mean I'm gay?
No, ha. Lottusse1877 makes for men just as much as women. These are made-to-order spectators. ~Sonya
@@SARTORIALTALKS That's a relief 😃 Joking of course. They are sure great looking shoes.
Damn, that pocket square-glasses pouch is revolutionary! Sleek yet stylish!
Yes Sean! We love it too! Hugo
"Sartorial First Aid Kit"
That's another way to call it Gino! Cheers, Hugo
Good evening Hugo and Sonya, thank you so much for the hints and tips, kind regards Ryan.

Thanks Nader, I may well be the assistant of the Magician Sonya! Cheers my friend, Hugo
Maybe not a question on topic but I'm asking anyway. Hugo, did you ever have Facial hair and when was the last time your hair was short? I love your current looks and greetings from Ireland
Dear Fjodor, my facial hair grow very slowly (I only need to shave every 3 or 4 days), so I never had facial hair and the last time my hair was short was in the mid 1990s. Cheers, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS thank you for your reply :)
Hugo, you managed to snag an all-timer of an elegant & sophisticated woman
This is quality information.
Can you please give a link to the suitbag?
Dear Ross, I believe Sartoria Ripense don't sell online. But you can contact Andrea Luparelli on Instagram (@sartoriaripense) and ask him if he can send you one (remind him it's the suitbag Hugo is using so that he can remember the one, because I bought this years ago). Cheers, Hugo
You guys are my role models 😍😍
That's very kind of you Lucia. All the best, Hugo & Sonya
So, do you put the suit bag in the overhead compartments or?
YEs sir, when we travel economy class. Cheers, Hugo
So you travel where there is no hook on the wall. Ok
Classy leather I been looking into getting duffle bags and personal travel bags from them
