  • If you are into iconic 90s Turbo cars you will know all about the Vauxhall Opel C20LET 2.0LTR 16V turbo motor.
    In this video I do a detailed tear down of the motor and inspect for wear.

    Use copper nuts on the exhaust manifold . steel on steel is a bad idea on the exhaust side . its actually the XE cam that has more lift hence why they are fitted into the let . great strip down vid are you building it for power or just a road car ?

      Yeah I planned to use the copper coated nuts, this is just how it came. And yes your right, an XE inlet cam has another 1mm lift 🙂 Thank you, it's just going to be standardish power for a friend's Nova. He does have a chipped ECU to go with it, so hoping for around 250+bhp.

    A lot of issues on one engine, worse that someone's been in there before. Full reburbishment required!

      Yeah, sadly it's very rare to find one of these that hasn't been messed with. The actual core bits are in very good condition though so it will make a nice engine once completed.
