Before baazigar Johnny lever stood apart in the movie khiladi for the first time. Then people really enjoyed his pairing with govinda and kader khan. "Awara pagal dewana" character "chota chhatrii" was hilarious and was the next turning point in 2000s imo.

I used to think that only a few people noticed the decline of Hindi movies but it's good to know that even people within the industry feel so..maybe the whole industry needs to sit together and introspect their quality of work rather than spending time only on movie promotions and parties...

I remember in Raja Hindustani it was Johnny sir who saved the hero in the climax, which was something unique. There are actually quite a few movies where Johnny sir's character saved the hero and heroine in the climax.
His views on the intelligence of the audience are extremely true,one should never underestimate it.

Back in 1980s, I first time know about Johny Lever from an audio cassette called 'Johny Lever ke Jokes'. I was about 10 years old. I still remember his jokes on Kabbadi, he was mimicking Shatrughan Sinha among others. I believe comedians gives relaxes us more then watching a tense action thriller.
