Wow my cousin and I went to cr England about 8 years ago in slc when I was 22. we got to train together since we came in together.. it was a good experience except my trainer hated me but loved my cousin. Thought it was ok to teach us how to back properly only one time for an hour each after we completed our first phase... and of course they give us the Walmart run which made us look stupid because it took us about 45min to back in Properly to the dock and that was wit the help from another cr England driver who finally decided to help us out. Thank God for him. Anyways I appreciate this company for introducing me to a select few people I kept in contact wit over the years and my Ls but that’s about it. And I def think a lot of people in my class should not have gotten a cdl but passed the driving test which was mf crazy cuz they couldn’t even drive period. Anyways stay safe on the roads everyone.. I def miss the open road tho
I never worked for any of the mega carriers and I NEVER WILL!!! I was lucky to get on a good company 6 months after I acquired my CDL. My first 6 months was with a local fast food delivery joint in Albuquerque New Mexico (Blakes Lotaburger)MMMMMM GOOD!!! Anyway, Pay was hourly at $18.50 & the work was brutal but it was still better than a mega carrier & gave me enough experience to get where I'm at now. Now I work for a smaller owner operator with a fleet of around 20-30 trucks pulling doubles exclusively for FedEx. The pay is pretty decent👌, not the highest but DEFINITELY not the lowest, all I do is drop & hook. I work approx 12 hour days & I'm home EVERY NIGHT!!! PRETTY DECENT JOB for a driver with a little less than 2 years experience!!!!! Yeaaaaaaaa, my CDL life is pretty good so far..................... So here's my advice as a newer truck driver to NEWER truck drivers.............IF YOU CAN, AVOID MEGA CARRIERS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CR drivers usually look like they're straight off the boat from Africa ...no I don't mean Black dudes... I mean Africans guys who hardly speak English.
I'm glad my dad was a independent he tought me at 14 how to drive and thank god it was back in the cabover days dubble bunk kenworth i went to the school of hard knocks
I knew from day one in CDL school to never go to work for any mega carrier company. I bit the bullet and teamed for 2 years for a FedEx Ground contractor pulling doubles. Got my experience and got the hell out. Now work for an LTL company driving a day cab and home a lot more. If I catch a bed trip I sleep in a hotel.
I refused to team for CR England when done with my 2 trainers. We would occasionally get messages over the Qualcomm that a team had died on the road from a crash. I don't think CR England is above trying to use scare tactics in an attempt to get drivers to focus on their job more, but it was enough for me to say "hell no" to teaming. The only way to go solo at the time was to lease a truck from CR England's pet leasing company. I took the 6 month demo walk away lease in 2009. Just received the 2 settlement checks within the last year from the class action lawsuit. 😀 Even with all of the fixed and variable costs, I did OK with the lease. You are getting experience and that is the most valuable thing. I was available for dispatch every single day of the 6 month lease, minus one. For those new to trucking, you can take the next couple years of your life and change it. Stack your money without the normal expenses of living like rent, car note, insurance, etc. Work hard and in a few years you can get out of debt and buy a tractor. Your first year may only save 20-30k, but once you have 1 year experience, you can get a job that will pay you over 80k before tax. 2 and a half years of grinding can buy you practically a new tractor. Don't be afraid to do your research and homework about the industry. I recently saw a lady pull up to a warehouse just outside Dallas, Tx with her own young son in the passenger seat. She was exiting her sleeper truck and getting into her daycab that was parked on a dock door at the warehouse. Both trucks had the same signage on the door. This tells me that she owns her own company and won a contract with the warehouse to transport loads for them. Find out what you need to go independent and go into business for yourself. Never listen to idiot naysayers.
When I was getting into trucking 10 years ago, I almost went to this company off of the advice of someone I worked with who used to drive truck. I was making $8/hr. and had no money for school. Thank God my Dad researched C.R. England online and printed out a bunch of rip off reports and stories of female trainees getting raped by trainers, etc. to show me. I cancelled at the last minute, and my parents loaned me the money for CDL school, which I was able to pay them back after I went to work for a decent company with tuition reimbursement.
good for you, but what about the rest of us who aren't qualified to join the military, reduced to an arby's position, and who would like to get out the dead end town they live in ?
I'm a trainer for Schneider Tankers. I wonder if allowing a student/co driver to sleep up top with the netting is a company policy? We arent allowed to have anyone up top while the truck is in motion. It has to be bottom bunk with the netting. 🤔🤔 If you ever figure out why the 3rd bunk is even there, I would LOVE to know!
It is currently allowed. I'm not sure about co-drivers in true team setups, but it used to be that students weren't allowed to use the top bunk during training.
Lisa.. please consider watching my talk show. (Most recent videos) We help up and comings regularly. We are communicating with all the companies to see who’s offering what. We can answer any questions you may have. Monday - Friday are the live streams from 6am till whenever. Hope to see you there
I pick the best driver out of the 2 and took naps when that student drove and we were going to be on an interstate for a while. It sucked and it was dangerous. Which is why I got the hell away from that crap.
Andrew Oldacre One thing for sure the dumb somebitch (from Smokey and the Bandit) that came up with that bulshit probably has never driven a big truck in his life...
That's the worst design I've ever seen even for training a student should be trained 1 on 1 those guys aren't getting proper training now that's just going to make it worse
If you choose to be trained on a 3 bunk truck, they also cut your hours required also. Instead of 180 hrs of training, you only do 70. I used to be a trainer with them. It was kind of awful.

Once I've applied as student driver and they called me and asked me if I were ready to roll.. I said yes.. Graduated got my hard copy and hit the road.. Jack lol Special Thanks to all the despatch, that made my dream come though..
I’m so glad I was one of the last batch of students to get a single student truck & trainer ! these trucks are just not big enough for 3 people to live on. I’d just hate to see if a big disagreement happened between all 3 people. I just think 1 on 1 training is way better, and less headache for the person doing the teaching.
Back in 2008 I was a 2 student trainer at CR England, and I wish sometimes I had that 3rd bunk back then... Would have really came in handy, especially for storage. Rarely was the truck parked for it to be used to sleep in anyway.
Trucker Ale, thanks for the tour of the truck bud. I went through C.R England to get my CDL, also I went to C.R England in Conley,Ga. The process of getting your CDL was awesome, but my 23 year old BS trainer just rode me for the miles. I asked C.R England to put me with another trainer, and guess what ? They refused to do so. Sooo after being with my trainer that did not teach me shit, and C.R England jerking me around I walked out, and I never returned.
I can see the posts now....."Student killed while sleeping in top, forward bunk. Driver failed to negotiate a low clearance, crushing the top of the truck, while killing his co-worker."
The last time I did training was back in the late 90's with Dick Simon. 1 student (OCCASIONAL husband/wife team), Solo miles ( I got paid for all miles driven) and 6 weeks with a student. TWO weeks with 3 people? This is the equivalent of a factory line. I LOVE the place I'm at now. $400/day flat rate (i've done both 13 hr days and 6 hour days), they treat me VERY VERY well, IM the boss when it comes to safety (already practiced twice and backed up twice by my superiors) and 99% drop and hook. I absolutely love it. AND they give me plenty of time to reach my destinations with USUALLY 12 hours off in between loads and home EVERY tues and wed. OTR can kiss my by mile ass.
Kenneth Adcox I can hear the PA announcement at the Pilot truck stop now will the three CR England drivers please leave the Arby's and move your truck off of the fuel Island your shower is ready guys... lol...
Does the 2nd student just chill on your bed while the other drives? I would not want to lay there for 6 to 8 hours while the other is driving. This set up is soooo uncomfortable.
I've seen it all, now! Question is, how did they manage 3 in a truck before designing this one? Sleeping in the passenger seat is torture! I think this is a good design, and yeah, use that other bunk for storage. Storage space is gold!
The only time you use the 3rd bunk is when all drivers are stopped. Like if you gotta wait for a drop or load. Otherwise they pretty much expect the trainer to sleep in the passenger seat, and have the students swap out of the bottom bunk when their shifts are done. Really hard on the trainer.
Dont care I am not with all these rookies coming in and even veterans, accidents happen and fck CR England I will not allow a person to sleep in top bunk while truck is moving it's not safe. And I wans a trainer and have seen some shit. BOYCOTT CR ENGLAND
I remember when I started driving,,I was with my trainer and he picked up another student to finish his training, now it's 3 of us in a truck and we only had 2 bunks!! I didn't like this at all but luckily I had the top bunk to myself and the other student and trainer shared bunks!! Lol 😂
I had to "hitch" a ride with trainer/student combo from Nashville to San Diego to recover a truck. All of us smoked, but it smelled so bad that I couldn't even stand it. In a 2014 International. Absolutely miserable 3 days....
This is what indentured servitude looks like. It never ceases to amaze that there are a seemingly endless stream of desperate plp who are willing to drive for them. Guess they deserve what they get.
I trained with this kind of truck. there's 3 of us so the truck is running 24 hours a day obviously. maybe 1 or 2 times during training were all 3 of us in bunkers and my trainer took that front bunk...he was a good trainer. However, sleeping in that top rear bunk while the truck is moving is no joke! You have to be strapped down because you feel like you'll be thrown off it.
That's crazy!! No thanks, I go solo and there is no other way. No refrigerator or microwave. Damn... I'm spoiled with my old Columbia 10 speed. Lol.🤣 good luck to those who venture out in that craziness. 3 to a truck🤔 no freaking way!! 😖 thanks for showing it 👍
England has zero value for human life. If you choose to drive for them then you asked for it. The only way to stop driver abuse is to not drive for them. Everyone quit go drive elsewhere. No drivers no England. Simple. Put them all out of business one by one. You won't do it so you must like it. So why whine about it. Waaa they treat us like crap. Easy fix, quit. You only have a thousand other companies to choose from.

I remember when CR England only had 22 of them, I had 30019. I’m glade to see they fixed the ventilation for the top bunks. The original 22 didn’t have any form of ventilation and it got hot up there even with the fan I bought to blow upwards
I like the old double bunk with 4 place dinette/work center. We had a fridge, microwave, small sink and porta potti, and Tons of storage.
See a lot of that there. It’s killing the industry for sure.
They put 3 guys in one truck but they removed the air suspension dump valve “for safety reasons or whatever” ???
I can't believe anyone would actually work for this company its been ranked one of top 3 worst companies to work for. Rating for past 5 years
Now when you stop and the trainer is tired the two students can spoon together because we are now using the third bunk for storage where to go CR LOL
This is flat out disgusting...England is out here treating their end users like cattle...so glad I left when I did.
End user lol...u got that from crap company of the week on trucking anwsers right?
david forte YUP!
Same here lol.
Bunch thiffee maddafuckers
My Mexican brothas would love this lol
CR drivers usually look like they're straight off the boat from Africa ...no I don't mean Black dudes... I mean Africans guys who hardly speak English.
You imagine if all 3 farted at the same time
Camp scene in blazing saddles... LMAO 😂
Gasious symphony of stupidity!
Yeah I really don't see the need for this I'm a solo driver, I'll keep my ARS extended sleeper thank you 😎. Great video Trucker Al 👍
This the reason why truckers get no respect because of companies like this smh 🤦🏾♂️. Major companies are a major factor of trucking issues now a days
They are outta there freakin’ minds!!!
Just a question is there any other country on earth that does crap like this three people, three grown men in one tiny truck good luck with that
Wow! Absolutely crazy
Piss bottles galore 😂😂
I'm glad my dad was a independent he tought me at 14 how to drive and thank god it was back in the cabover days dubble bunk kenworth i went to the school of hard knocks
I knew from day one in CDL school to never go to work for any mega carrier company. I bit the bullet and teamed for 2 years for a FedEx Ground contractor pulling doubles. Got my experience and got the hell out. Now work for an LTL company driving a day cab and home a lot more. If I catch a bed trip I sleep in a hotel.
Good luck trying to finding someone under 250 pounds. I barely weigh under that.
There’s no escape quickly if trk is on fire or rolled over, when top bunks are used at same time. Fools for participating in that!!
How long until they will come up with the 4th bunk ? Slave life , sorry that's the true.
111 lol
Lol Lol
I refused to team for CR England when done with my 2 trainers. We would occasionally get messages over the Qualcomm that a team had died on the road from a crash. I don't think CR England is above trying to use scare tactics in an attempt to get drivers to focus on their job more, but it was enough for me to say "hell no" to teaming. The only way to go solo at the time was to lease a truck from CR England's pet leasing company. I took the 6 month demo walk away lease in 2009. Just received the 2 settlement checks within the last year from the class action lawsuit. 😀
Even with all of the fixed and variable costs, I did OK with the lease.
I’ve been long gone from England.
Remember when we were treated like regular folks?
me neither
Just curious, what do they pay you to have two trainees.
T G
thats a good question bcuz the trainers already make 2k or so a week from one trainee! but they probably make him “train” 2 for the price of one😉
@@jerseynathalie1471 try losing weight
yeah who would think such garbage exists
I'm a trainer for Schneider Tankers. I wonder if allowing a student/co driver to sleep up top with the netting is a company policy? We arent allowed to have anyone up top while the truck is in motion. It has to be bottom bunk with the netting. 🤔🤔
If you ever figure out why the 3rd bunk is even there, I would LOVE to know!
It is currently allowed. I'm not sure about co-drivers in true team setups, but it used to be that students weren't allowed to use the top bunk during training.
Three smelly truck drivers sharing one truck, that’s insane. C.R. England new rolling sweat shop🤬😡
Geez ! What a HARD LIFE ! Hopefully you all get along ! That's NOT for me ! Thanks for the Video Sir.
My homeboy told me about this but I didn’t believe it... 3 ppl on one truck is ridiculous
Great video.. He sounds like he a great trainer. I'm considering getting my CDL..
Lisa.. please consider watching my talk show. (Most recent videos) We help up and comings regularly. We are communicating with all the companies to see who’s offering what. We can answer any questions you may have. Monday - Friday are the live streams from 6am till whenever. Hope to see you there
So a trainee driving, you in the passenger seat and a second trainee sleeping in the rack.... when do you sleep?
I pick the best driver out of the 2 and took naps when that student drove and we were going to be on an interstate for a while. It sucked and it was dangerous. Which is why I got the hell away from that crap.
Ask the trainers after they left CREngland.
ALL THIS MEAN IS THAT TRUCK WILL NEVER STOP ROLLING... 🚛💨💨💨💨
Seems like you're more a "Baby sitter" more than a trainer...
Should be against the simply not safe
3 men in a truck...who thought this one out...I could imagine the smell..I bet he thought..what a great idea....
😂🤣💀 There's a moving company called 2 men and a truck with the stick people looking logo on it!,I thought about them when I read your comment. LoL
Andrew Oldacre
One thing for sure the dumb somebitch (from Smokey and the Bandit)
that came up with that bulshit probably has never driven a big truck in his life...
And they spit one shitty pay check Merica
That's the worst design I've ever seen even for training a student should be trained 1 on 1 those guys aren't getting proper training now that's just going to make it worse
If you choose to be trained on a 3 bunk truck, they also cut your hours required also. Instead of 180 hrs of training, you only do 70. I used to be a trainer with them. It was kind of awful.
I'm driving a 2020 also. The reason your Omnitracs is not centered is because if centered, the cord will activate the control switches below.
Slave ship
RFI-Crypto Lab bahahahahaa I’m ☠️⚰️
Worked on getting my CDL for the past 2 years (death in the family - had to take care of my own - long story)... but I got it.
China Virus hit... world changed in 2 months.... and apparently, so did trucking. ------------ Damn. 3 humans in 50 sq ft, for months?
Trucker Al... your video was informative. It was the first I've see of yours. I'll say this... if I have to endure this, hope you're my trainer. You sound like a no bull-sh!t kinda guy. I can deal with that. ----------- Practical lesson I learned... essentials-only... 5 shirts/5 socks/5 boxers/2 pants/ a smart phone and bible.
I’ve been gone from England for a while now. Best of luck to you. When you’ve completed training, let me know how things are going.
What a pizza can do that cr can't?
Feed a family of 4.
An shout out to CR England trucking school which I've graduated from there back in 2003
I used to be a security guard at salt lake city airport.
Once I've applied as student driver and they called me and asked me if I were ready to roll.. I said yes..
Graduated got my hard copy and hit the road.. Jack lol
Special Thanks to all the despatch, that made my dream come though..
Next week they will give you a 3rd student, you get the trailer to nap in
Lol not happening
Lmao
I have seen pictures from the old days sleeper was in front of trailer
I’m so glad I was one of the last batch of students to get a single student truck & trainer ! these trucks are just not big enough for 3 people to live on. I’d just hate to see if a big disagreement happened between all 3 people. I just think 1 on 1 training is way better, and less headache for the person doing the teaching.
The only company I’ve seen with armed guards and metal detectors. Hmmm wonder why. Lol
You haven't been to the Wiley Sanders company in Troy, Al.
Back in 2008 I was a 2 student trainer at CR England, and I wish sometimes I had that 3rd bunk back then... Would have really came in handy, especially for storage. Rarely was the truck parked for it to be used to sleep in anyway.
That's NOT being a trainer, ya'll are running teams. You can't sleep while trainee driving.
exactly
Trucker Ale, thanks for the tour of the truck bud. I went through C.R England to get my CDL, also I went to C.R England in Conley,Ga. The process of getting your CDL was awesome, but my 23 year old BS trainer just rode me for the miles. I asked C.R England to put me with another trainer, and guess what ? They refused to do so. Sooo after being with my trainer that did not teach me shit, and C.R England jerking me around I walked out, and I never returned.
Why, the fudge do they have 3 bunks, are the rumors true do y'all really train 2 students at once, if so that's insane.
one for the driver. one for the co driver.one for the cats lol
I can see the posts now....."Student killed while sleeping in top, forward bunk. Driver failed to negotiate a low clearance, crushing the top of the truck, while killing his co-worker."
What do you do for food in that situation,no where to cook or store food
You become less obese.
That's a plus..but what about the guys starving already....could turn to cannibalism
Can you tell us the name of the company you work for please?
That has nothing to do with this video. Nobody but you cares how your company treats you, or how you live on the road.
Why didn't you show the added pocket storage located on the back wall of the bottom sleeper? It was covered by the mattress leaning up.
Whew c r England your shower for 3 is ready
Kenneth Adcox
I can hear the PA announcement at the Pilot truck stop now will the three CR England drivers please leave the Arby's and move your truck off of the fuel Island your shower is ready guys...
lol...
Thanks for the video, very informative.
I was a trainer for them and they had me take two guys out in a two bunker - that sound like them less space and more bodies
3 in a truck with less storage space. Unbelievable. What genius thought of this? Trucking industry gets worse by the day
Does the 2nd student just chill on your bed while the other drives? I would not want to lay there for 6 to 8 hours while the other is driving. This set up is soooo uncomfortable.
Student 1 driving
Student 2 in top bunk sleeping or doing modules
Bottom bunk is mine and mine only.
Trucker Al you can use a tablet to watch everything these days
Trucker Al but I thought no one should be in the upper bunk while the truck is moving
Zoltan Tamasi that is correct nobody is supposed to be on the top bunk while the truck is in motion
@@LVDesert584 hell I did I dont sleep on another person bed
I've seen it all, now! Question is, how did they manage 3 in a truck before designing this one? Sleeping in the passenger seat is torture! I think this is a good design, and yeah, use that other bunk for storage. Storage space is gold!
That not legal you cant have someone in top bunk while drivein it's not safe
As long as you have restraints you can.
I guess they'll sleep together at the bottom lol
The only time you use the 3rd bunk is when all drivers are stopped. Like if you gotta wait for a drop or load. Otherwise they pretty much expect the trainer to sleep in the passenger seat, and have the students swap out of the bottom bunk when their shifts are done. Really hard on the trainer.
You can use any bunk as long as the bunk has restraints. That's per DOT. Ask me how I know it's called fmcsa or talk to a DOT officer.
I served time on a submarine in the navy so this is no big deal, but it's still bullsh#t. SMH
Ty for your service sir.
Wow! FOUR drivers to one truck! Only stops for fuel! LOL. A bedbug hauler's dream!
Should be able to turn 15,000 miles a week in these trucks with a three man team. 😂😂
Not at 63mph 🤣🤣
