It’s been a while since I’ve checked in. I’m digging the heavy Chevy. Also, I sold my XJ 😢 I bought a 2010 single cab long bed chevy back in January because I decided I needed another truck. Finished the XJ, lost interest after seeing the fuel bill from a few short jaunts to the pew pew range so it sat for a while. Someone decided they wanted to throw money at me for the XJ so I sold it and have been focusing on the Silverado since.
I was wondering the info on the Dana 60. Where did you find one? How much did you pick it up for and what was it off of? I want to eventually do the same conversion on my 73 K20 but those are going for roughly 2k plus here in So Cal in rough condition.
I found this one when calling a wrecking yard in Missouri, it cost $1250 after shipping to a place of business and it was off a 1984 K30 4x4 Dually. It was pretty rusty but I replaced everything on the axle other than the axle shafts, kingpins and housing itself. For decently priced ones you’re going to have to get something from back east but they need work.
@@2AOverland thanks. I would imagine if you found that one 2k miles away from me even though almost 1k cheaper by the time I pay for shipping on something that heavy I might as well just pay the ridiculous price here because it will work out about the same or at least close. Thx for replying so quickly. The truck looks great. A little jealous my K20 is no where near as complete and I keep running into nothing but nightmares at every shop it has been at. Maybe someday I will actually drive mine. Maybe. Lol
@2AOverland your welcome man! And oh ok right on. That would be sweet. I was gonna say I hope you didn't give up on the xj jaja. You and others I watch keep me motivated with mine, jaja. Sounds good will be looking for the future videos
You're making great progress on this beast. I'm looking forward to seeing it trail ready.
Thank you! I have a few things ordered to get it closer to trail ready but I can’t wait either!
The tire/wheel combo looks great.
Thank you I appreciate it! I’m happy with how aggressive they look.

No worries man! The fuel bills on the xj kill me too 😅 the added benefit of the long bed means you can haul stuff and still camp out of it if you want
That thing is a beast! Nice work!
Thank you! It’s coming along nicely 😎👍🏼
That looks great!! It's gonna be a beast to drive.
It’s a fun drive! Still getting the kinks taken care of but I can’t wait to get it trail ready
That thing's gonna be awesome!
Thank you! I’m slowly getting it trail ready ☺️
Well done bro!!
I appreciate it brother! It’s getting there 😎👌🏼

Awsome build man! Those axles look awsome! Is this gonna be replacing the xj? Or just to switch off . Great job.
Thank you so much! The XJ isn’t going anywhere! The ultimate plan is to have the XJ on tons for rock crawling and the truck as the overlander

@victorhinojos3194 nope! I’ve had the xj for almost 10yrs now so it’s still my baby lol. Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate it
@2AOverland nice brotha! That's good to hear. I'm the same. Jaja right on, you're welcome man and I appreciate you. Thank you !
I'm telling your girl about dana!
My search history is a mess when it comes to Dana 😂
The c-rail might have been some sort of add on for train track wheels
