Nice job.That thing is a beast..😁💪👍👍👊
I appreciate it man! It was a fun but bumpy trip 😂
5psi rear and 7.5psi rear? Maybe I need to go lower. I air down the 33's on my 1987 K15 down to 20psi. What year is yours, what is your lift, and what size tires? Sorry if I missed it. Love this video. Really hoping for more content like this from you in the future.

First of all thanks for watching! Mines an 1982 with about 5in of lift and 37in tires. I’m only running those pressures cause I have beadlocks and don’t have to worry about popping a tire bead. If you’re not I’d run 10-15 at the absolute lowest. If you wanna catch up on the build from the beginning I have a playlist for the build on the channel 😎
ah, I heard 37's at the end of the video
No worries!
Nice build brother! Back in 1984 I ordered a K30 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe w/454ci, SM465 trans, 4:10 gears, dual tanks, A/C, & a few other things it took right at 4 months to arrive. I lived in St. Augustine, FL at that time and it sunk everywhere I took it because it weighed so much so after warranty was over I installed 11” of lift an put on TSL 15”x42”x16.5” Super Swampers and didn’t have anymore troubles in the sand or mud but everywhere I went all people saw was a wrecker to pull them out can’t tell you how many times that happened. I moved to Kennesaw, GA and ended up selling it to a friend from High School who made me promise to give him first refusal so he bought it and took it back to West Virginia to run the mountains. I sure wish I still owned that truck but needed a down payment for a house. It worked just as well in the mountains of WV as it did Fl. Great job and I envy your build you’ve done a great job so far plus I just found your channel and subscribed. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It turned out great!!! Are you going to put a roof tent and bed racks? or go a differant way? Oh what did you get for your mpg? Love it!
Thank you so much! I am getting a bed rack for it and going to run our roof tent. The mpg isn’t the greatest in the hills maybe 10mpg but the highway it’s pretty good around 16-20 mpg
Fantastic video! Beautiful drone shots of the Arizona desert. Can't wait to see more of your adventures with that badass truck!
Thank you! I really tried to show off the scenery and the truck. We’ll be doing more adventures in the truck here shortly 😎
Anybody can buy a new truck, cool guys keep old ones running.
I couldn’t agree more! Keep the classics alive 😎👌🏼
Loved the video!
Thank you!!
Awesome video I was the guy talking to you in the Jeep in the beginning of the trail with the kid thanks for the patch.
Yep! It was great to meet you and your son Randy! 😊
Love the sound of that 6.2. Truck looks great also. I'd recommend a set of ORD custom springs all the way around. Not cheap, but not near the price of a coil over conversion nor the time involved, and it's the perfect middle ground suspension between the stiff off-the-shelf springs and a coil over system. The truck will ride MUCH better than it does now and be way more comfortable.
That’s definitely the route I’m going 😎
It's great to see you on the trail enjoying the fruits of your labors. What are your camping set up plans? Topper, ground tent, elevated tent?
Thanks for that. It felt great to see the truck out in the rocks and not having any issues. Were getting a bed rack for the truck for our RTT, awning and shower room
I'll be RVing out in your area next week. Unfortunately I won't have my XJ this trip but, I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying some Kilt Lifters!
No worries! The weather is beautiful out here so you’ll love it!
When flexed on the rock, the passenger side front brake line looked like it was pretty tight. Might want to check that.
Good observation! I’ll see what I can do to extend it. Maybe even longer brake lines for the front
I love those trucks, I drove my dad's in high school! It wasn't as cool as yours though.
Can’t beat that! I wish I had a time machine to go back in the day and drive one of these new off the lot!
Awesome build! Do you remember the offset or backspacing of the racelines?
Thank you so much! I wanna say they’re 4.5in of backspacing 😬
Another option for tire clearance in the front is to add ORD zero rate add a leaf kit. You can move the front axle forward an inch or so.
I already pushed the axle forward an inch with that kit 😅 I might trim a little bit and if it still rubs I’ll push it forward to 1.5 inches.
@@2AOverland Ah ok
you're a goober. nice truck, ima sucker for a brown squarebody. I'm not sure it's a good overland vehicle though. poor gas mileage and poor ride quality.
You’re entitled to your opinion 🤷🏻♂️
@@2AOverland opinion? those are all facts.
Hey just wondering I got a 93 xj country and was thinking about doing the cowl intake but it’s my daily driver. How loud is the noise inside? I saw the other video also
It’s decently loud but you get used to it and after a while you don’t even notice it. I think it’s a good trade off and worth the install
