- This has been and will be a huge project. A full card game is coming to Pixel Worlds and in this devlog I am going to tell you how it's going and what it will look like.

I think this is a super cool idea, personally, I'm super excited about this update as it reminds me of all the old card games I used to play when I was younger. If I had to suggest anything, I'd love to see certain effects on cards and maybe the chance to purchase a different deck holder and cosmetics to allow players the chance to customise everything to their liking.

Will there be tradeable limited cards? And I also think a good idea would be if there are card blueprints that would stay in the store for a limited period of time and another idea if there are untradeable cards that you could purchase from the store for money for also a limited period of time.

My main question after seeing this video is what are the cards actually going to be named/themed after? NPCs, Booster item characters (alien 1, pirate 3, etc), influencers, devs or mods, items, etc?
The placeholders right now are the PW logo, the PVP skull and the lord from medieval booster, but what is the plan for release for these cards' themes?
Im suggesting for an npc as a practice player and even npcs availabe to fight for us to get pixel dust

Easy - 800 ELO (Common, Uncommon, Rare)
Moderate - 1,200 ELO (UC, R, SR)
Very Hard - 1,800 ELO (R, SR, Limited)
Extreme - 2,300 ELO (SR, Limited, Legendary)
Maximum - 3,200 ELO (SR,Legendary, L+)

Ideas for the card game
-you can rip the cards to blank card bits (large, medium, maybe small)
-new npc Card Master (tutorial, and sells some rare cards for card bits)
-nether had burned card bits that can be turned in to nether cards, fishing gives wet card bits that can be turned in to water cards like poseidon, mining gives ruined card bits that can be turned in to mining cards (mostly effect cards)
-event cards, blacktower has scribbled card bits and jack-o special card, trap and rising lava effect cards. Sumner has sand dusted bits and big billy special card and ice Cream effect card. St. Patrick has golden leprachaun card and lucky clover effect card.

Imagine hating on the devs for making this Update, when probably they got suggested to do this update and they thought it would be cool.

We could call the crafting material of the cards as card scraps or card particles
For the backgrounds, I'd say we simply have a preset one made by the devs then arrange competitions for players to submit their own custom card game backgrounds. As long as they don't break any copyright laws, that is.
This card game looks cool. here are my ideas for the card game,
Dismantling cards = pixelating
Winning battle reward = some kind of box that gives one random booster item as those items do not have a very high value to us Pixelians.
Make a version that would reward you with a small number of Byte coins, or add that to the Ranked mode of the card game.
A low-level Player winning against a higher-level player gets some kind of reward as they won against a Better player. (may cause problems for the game's values): Solution makes the reward only valuable for the lower level player as complexity level 1-5 items.
Would like anyone's opinion what they think of these ideas and if even one of these gets added Msg me 😋

This isn't what I expected for the huge update but hey, this is still pretty interesting :o
I think primary element cards, ex fire, should be found in nether, water by fishing, earth by farming. Also, random npcs that would show up randomly around the world and ask for a "Duel", beat the npc and get a possibly rare card or a random rare card!. I think players should be able to make a wager before the duel to make battles a little more intense. A world made to be a Duel arena, where players could watch people battle, along with tournaments that would be exclusive for contestants and people could join and watch. Also a fusion possibility for cards, like three nether dragon cards make the Eater of pixels card. Thanks for seeing this if ya did and also some legendary card names!
All The devs, obviously, but also a Rare Sensei Jake ( Ninjago Reference) card, that can only be obtained by fusing all the dev cards!. King Harambe, Bloody Angel, Pixelonian ( Card includes some lore), and last but not least, Commander Ks Starship.
I hope something like when you win you get points, and then you can redeem those points for prizes. Just like an arcade... Also a booster for cards.
Hey, I suggest you were to add a few things 1. Customizable background for the game, you could have community contests to get it in game and/or sell an item in the shop, either selling backgrounds or selling something that you can use to make your own background. 2. A feature where you can battle NPCs and get gems like maybe if you win 300-1000+ gems (depends on difficulty) and either no limit or limit to like 50 games/24hrs and the player can choose the difficulty. That way if the amount is limited to 50 which I'd prefer if it wasn't limited if they did easiest ones they would win 15,000 gems and if they did all hardest ones they would win 50,000 gems but you would want to make the hard ones pretty hard. I think that's all I'll edit and add on more if i have any more ideas

My suggestion: You could add a NPC that would have card market in which you can trade cards with other people
If it's profitable then people would play it. You should make a Tournament for it when it comes out!

Booster packs: you can win them from duel or other ways relating the card game. Sellable, has different series

you should add tiers like how different fishing rods catch bigger/smaller fish but players with stronger cards can only use those cards if opponent has same strength just to make it fair so no one player has op card vs bad cards to level it out and also u should add a form of prize pool say both players put 100 gems in whoever wins gets 200 gems like that just my thoughts game dev to game dev:)

I suggest that you can fight npc's and if you win you get a card relating to them, for example fighting the mining guy in the pixel station, if you beat him you get a card with a mining theme, it also works for events npc's

I hope they add an update where u can put codes to get rare items or they can just put the codes on the back of the card
Maybe put effects on the cards that are in battle not only on the effect card. Collecting cards from different features in game also sounds good , maybe put expansion on the cards every 4 months to keep the card game interesting. Tradable cards are maybe for cards collectors like legendary cards, event cards and tournament cards. Ladder system is good to keep the game competitive also the tournament every weekends is nice and make the rewards card packs or some collectible cards. Keep the playable cards non-tradable for players to grind and maybe reward card dust every battle limited per day. Add challengeable NPC bosses that give some cool rewards that cooldowns in few weeks maybe.
You should do an apocalypse mode where a team kinda like nether team has to fight waves of monsters. That would be fun. And depending on how many waves u beat is how many of whatever currency comes out with it or something. Just a suggestion

This is amazing, I myself am a fan of playing strategic card games and I am very excited for this update. Although I am mostly used to the hearthstone and magic the gathering type of gameplay, it would be fun to try this out and learn how to play

It would be cool if u would change card buying from shop that way, that you will add CARDS category in the shop, there u will see Card Boster Pack where would be monthly changing Legendary Card (Only available that way). When u will buy that pack u will get that in your inv and by double clicking it, it would open and give you those cards. So as time passes those Card Packs would rise, like in Pokemon Cards

Add "leagues" for the card game, pretty much, you can play special league matches in which when you win you gets points, when you lose, you lose points.
Win - +3 Points
Lose - -3 Points
Leagues:
N/A - The starter league, you start your card game here.
Bronze - Must get 15 Points to join the bronze league.
Silver - Must get 30 Points to join the silver league.
Gold - Must get 60 Points to join the gold league.
Platinum - Must get 90 Points to join the Platinum league.
Champion - Must get 150 Points to join the Champion league.
Ultimate Champion - Must get 300 Points to join the Ultimate Champions league.
Also with that, there can be tournaments in which you can earn gems and special card packs. These tournaments are hosted every month, the ways these work, is that you can play matches against players in the tournament and each win gives you a tournament point, the people who get the most tournament points win better rewards, and higher the tournament, the higher the reward.
Beginner Tournament - For Bronze-Silver
Rewards:
1st Place - 10,000 gems
2nd place - 7,500 gems
3rd place - 5,000 gems
4-5th place - 2,500 gems
6-10th place - 1000 gems
11-50th place - 750 gems
500 gems as a participation bonus.
Super Tournament - For Gold-Platinum
Rewards:
1st Place - 50,000 gems
2nd place - 35,000 gems
3rd place - 20,000 gems
4-5th place - 10,000 gems
6-10th place - 5,000 gems
11-50th place - 2,500 gems
1000 gems as a participation bonus.
Championship Tournament - For Champion-Ultimate Champion
1st place - 100,000 gems
2nd place - 75,000 gems
3rd place - 50,000 gems
4-5th place - 25,000 gems
6-10th place - 10,000 gems
11-50th place - 5,000 gems
2,500 gems as a participation bonus.
Ahh yes, the Clash Royale system. We do not really need more clash royale-like games. We have plenty.
It is a way to reward players for being good at the card game.
Recommendation, card design should be Monster/Npc in game itself like Bat, ghost, mobs in game

Is the card game gonna get us items or advantages in pixelworlds when we’re high in ladder, im asking because in my opinion the feature might get forgotten if there is no benefit in the regular game. The card game could so go both ways in benefit each other drawing more and more players to play the card game or the other features.

I remember commander k asking for this rpg themed update which will change the game forever i think if you like release new cards every month yes that will change the game and would be more fun and the question that confused me is: Will new players be able to contribute or try out the card game? Not enough world locks!
New players won't be able to play without cards but ofc common cards will be very cheap so it will be very easy to acquire for New players.
