1. This would affect P2P worlds specially the maze game because people will not be able to drop wls and race 2. How about making a special box to store byte coins in world so that if someone got hacked, there will be less chance for the hacker to find the bytes. If not possible, how about step 2 verification feature when logging-in in a new device to prevent unauthorised access? 3. It would actually be a good idea to show the date of the item that is sold and for how much bytes that is sold because some items like epic pwr is rarely sold in pwe so the prices will be out dated. 4. The byte should be a general number (4,500,000 rather than 4500000) as it would be easier to spot scammers who change it from 4500000 to 450000

For example, new creatures can be added, the Nether can be expanded. But my main request is this: In the Nether, as in fishing and mining, clothing and sets with features should be brought. When trying to buy/sell something using bytecoins using trade feature, will the bytecoin count be split up like 5.550.000 so it's easier to understand the amount? This would also prevent people to just removing the last number quickly when trading.
That moment when people don't know that you can still convert wls to bc so you won't lose ur total wl count (And the vendor will be 240 - 250/1 so don't worry)
exactly! I've been charging taxes for my listed items in pwe since then but it always ends up getting unsold with my bytes decreasing as I sell my items in pwe. With this video, I hope people will start charging taxes as well and I hope the buyers will understand it. In that way, we can all use pwe without any problem. Great video Jake!

the pixel world is actually a nice game but sadly pixel world only needs influencers to promote this game so that it can be more crowded, and if it succeeds pixel world will become a busy and more exciting game.why I can say this is because we just compare it with growtopia, in the game growtopia there are many influencers who try the game and yes finally many people know and try the game. So that's my advice for the future so that the pixel world is more crowded than before.
One if the major concers I have with trading hundreds of thousands of bytes is that trade scamming could become a lot more prominent. With the numbers being so large, it becomes harder to spot if someone changes the amount from, say 101100 to 10110. Don't get me wrong, these scams have always plagued the trading scene even before this change, but with numbers that are only up to three digits long, it's been a lot easier to see if the value gets changed.
I have a question to ask With the display cases, you said that they won't disappear with the update, but is there like a time limit where they will go? I have a lot of world locks in a collection so I'm just wondering
Could you possibly add an option in the vendor where you can trade Lock Tokens (under 100) for Bytecoin? Considering that there would be some lock tokens left in our inventory (and since we can't trade them anymore, we couldn't convert them to a WL). It would probably be a waste of if we were to trash it.

For your information, people who play using pc, they don't have to use the scroller to select the number of world locks for trading. Even though there is no "input" field for world lock unlike byte coins, you can still type in the number. For example you want to buy something for 55 world locks. Your stacks have 699 world locks. Are you going to bother with sliding the tile to find 55 world lock? No need. Just press 55 without having many delays in between and boom, you will find the correct amount selected.
They should of done that when they added the bytecoins and why the hell did they add the platinum lock then? It's literally useless you can just brag to your friends like "ayeee, I got a platinum lock!"

yes but with +250, +1000 and +10000 if you're lagging then it will be delayed. so you might double the amount you got with it because it shows the amount late and you would probably click it again since its not showing up.
A lot of people really hate this idea of changing the currency and making WL,PL, and DL untradable But for me, its actually a great change, the byte coin actually has a purpose now, although its not perfect, I know that the devs will try to work things out. Keep up the great work PW devs. :D
I got hacked and lost literally everything I had, and none of the staff helped me or did anything about it... I felt betrayed and left alone and therefore decided to quit even after spending quite a sum... But now with this new update I see that the staff actually cares for the players and the new ones and the game itself... Hopefully it'll give me the feeling of fresh start I'm looking for without the pain of remembering what I had lost in the past, it still burns but I'm willing to give this game another chance...
when I came back to the game after a year break, I saw all my precious farms/shop and trading worlds I built just to be gone. I was utterly disappointed and sad since I have no more items since I left them on a chest when I quit the game including my worldlocks and lep capes
@evilcake back when pw eas first released people were calling it a Growtopia copy for a good reason since they copy Alot of Growtopia's stuff, including the wl. Since the Wl was already a currency in gt itself and pw copies it. It could also mean that jake knows that wl is already a currency and most likely added it as a currency in Pw.
No, I disagree with your last point. Pixel Worlds is declining now and the proof could be seen on the pixel worlds player population steam graph. Just google it and see for yourself. It’s 2-3x less than it’s player population peak. Maybe that may be untrue for mobile players, but the fact there’s been less players now on steam really does show that this game is in fact dying. Not to mention the lack of relevancy with these recent updates have nothing to do with the theme of the game. I highly doubt a card game update or a jet race has anything to do with a sandbox MMO game. At this point it doesn’t feel like it’s the game it was described to be. All just repetitive in a way. I mean just look at how much of a failure jet update was. Reviving this game will be hard, as you’ve lost many of your veteran and old players. The devs of PW seems to be geared towards the “new players” and have started to forget us older veterans. I feel like your engagement and support with the community has lessened throughout the years. You’ve seemed to forget the community more and more. Though for what it’s worth, many people eventually caught on and just decided to quit. Though the funny thing about this game is you could literally profit more from quitting than actually playing the game. You may be able to bring new players over to the game, but you have lost more older players than you can count. The once great community in PW has died, and the golden era has ended a few years back. It had simply went from socializing, building and having fun to the sole purpose of “profiting”. I simply wonder if the devs even try like they’d back then. It seems the devs would add any other updates other than the features and things the community has asked for. I don’t recall anyone ever asking for a card update. Need me to remind you that this is a sandbox MMO game? Not to mention nether was never revamped, neither was farming. All these old features are simply lackluster and are behind nowadays. This game still needs a lot of rework yet these devs chose to jump ahead and add more content that’s essentially a quick gem-grab.The updates barely last for a week, they’re quite literally on the level of a booster pack’s lifespan. Then we have bundles which basically further convinced me that PW is slowly involving into a pay-2-win. I could honestly see PW going under the title of “gatcha game” at this point. Stop adding irrelevant updates to the game, you’re just killing your player base. Don’t live in your delusions of “oh our player base is better than it’s ever been, and it’ll be a new era!”. No, look around you. Look and listen to your community. Make changes and actually update your older content while you still can. It may already be too late to bring back many players, but there’s still time left to fix everything else. Though I’m not quite done yet. I have to argue that the fishing update was what brought the start of the downfall of this game. Totally broke the former progression route and only the wealthy players were able to afford fishing gears. It was just obviously too OP and broken. The proof being that the devs themselves had to even nerf fishing in general. Not only this, mining had only been much worse. The economy inflated way too much at that point and now new players have no standing or chance to get anywhere. Btw, mining wasn’t even nerfed. That only made me question the choices of the devs further. Also, one of the main problems in this game was that it simply rewarded early players. Examples include rare world names, better economy, gate-keeping, hoarding and more. I just felt as if this system really messed everything up years later down the line. In conclusion, as a player who started nearly 3 years ago, I just want you to fix your game and listen to feedback for once. Don’t forget your player base is what gave you this game’s success. Without it, your game would be empty and completely dead. Not hating on this game, I just mourn its former glory and wish for a better change. As always, remember that your best fans are ones who critique your game and wish most for your game’s success. Though I’ve pretty much lost must of my hope for PW anyway.
One thing that i would like to be fixed is when you add bytes to trade you have to click on the white box before you can type the amount on pc. Also if you are adding high quantities of items to trade you have to type the number very fast or else it will just replace the first number.
Pros: 1. Scams harder to pull off 2. More flexible price negotiations 3. Less confusion among new players about the game's currency 4. You don't have to go to trade world to get something you need since availability will increase in PWE 5. More stable and solid prices for bytes which makes for fairer trades. Cons: 1. Harder adjustment in the first few months 2. Confusion to returning players who are not up to date You can see that there are more good things than bad things that will happen with this update so I support it.

Jake we have a problem about inventory slots. For example in basic seed pack has got 96 seeds so we cant open more packs before drop some seeds as you can understand too its going waste around 3x-4x more times, like drop seed open back and drop again when full inventory, in my opinion you can do inventory 200+ thanks for reading this i know you will do something about it thanks for help :)
1st : No offense but if your main motivation in this game is to get rich then you probably should take a break from the game. 2nd : That motivation is not gone. Just replaced. Instead of getting happy when you get world locks, you will get happy when you get tons of byte coins. Insanely tiny difference.

Been playing for 3 years now and personally I think the 6 things that were stated in the video are actually good points, recently I've seen some players in my country that are buying platinum locks for real money in such a affordable price which made me think that the game is not that challenging anymore to afford the items that we want inside the game. And well just as Jake said that its a possible solution to prevent scams which is good for both players and devs even though they might think of another possible way to sell in game items, but hey the update still isn't here yet sooo- we'll just have to wait and see.
Before i actually thought that making wls untradeable is not really a good idea but now after watching this video i starting to think that making wls untradeable is quite a good idea too. You have answered my questions in this video so i don't have any more questions to ask.
Looking forward to this update, but i still see one problem.. How will you make byte coins feel valuable? Right now, seeing your world locks and diamond locks as "physical items" it feels like you actually have wealth. However, having just a ton of byte coins doesn't feel as special. Right now i don't even consider my bytecoins part of my personal wealth, even though i probably have about 10 world locks worth of them.
Jake, can you make a event that about selling 200-250 byte for 1wl player, so we all player no need worry about how hard selling wls for byte, and can you eraser the byte value in pwe, like terminator wing that accurancy byte cost has not right
Look you are right in some points but i think instead of forcing people to use byte coins you should add more opportunities to that and there is why you shouldn’t make wls untradable : 1- Calculate problem:when people trading with wls that wasn’t issue but now because bc become main currency , because there wont be no wls anymore when they want to sell item cost 100 wls before they sell they will multiple with 250 to find bc price of that item but everything not that easy imagine item wroth 14 wls as you know playerbase of pw isnt that high aged which mean in trading people can do a lot of mistakes that can result with more trade scams seen in pw 2- Trading: you sad there wont be no effect on trading but there will ,how? First pwe traders or profiters will get hard on making profit after that update caused by more usage of pwe then there is normal traders problem as you know because people usually use trading instead of pwe at item cost higher than 100 wl that will change with this update which means being trader will be more harder because there is already fast way to buy with pwe when we think around 300-400 people hang out at trading world with that update this not hard to see this number going down it will effect you instead of us 3- Scam issues: I mentioned but trade scams will increase because of how hard to calculate with out calculator About new players you are right having 2 currency is really confusing for them but as i told you i don’t think that should be the way of dropping it to the one currency One more suggestion if you do all wls untradable add all wls to npc for people still wants to fast buy wls
1 and 3 wont matter in time. Once wls are untradeable they will eventually have no value so you dont need to calculate. In time 10k bytes for example will be the normal.
A way you can trade world locks is by ownership, for example: If I want to buy fgems and the price is a world lock, I could go to a new world, place the world lock in, and start a trade for ownership. Then, the seller would break the world lock and it's theirs. You can also exchange world locks for byte coins (not bitcoins, of course)
At the beginning I thought this was terrible and was like "whyyy whyy noo woorld locks have aaaalways been the main currency", but now I feel like this is a very good idea, actually will make the game better imo. Good stuff, Kukouri.

I don't think it's a good idea, because people only need sell/orders and if someone finishes Orders/sell Then he will be offline, and the game will die.
There are many many more problems in this update 1. When trying to buy/sell something using bytecoins using trade feature, will the bytecoin count be split up like 5.550.000 so it's easier to understand the amount? This would also prevent people to just removing the last number quickly when trading.
In my opinion, it's a NO. That reason is the inverse of that benefit.

exactly! I've been charging taxes for my listed items in pwe since then but it always ends up getting unsold with my bytes decreasing as I sell my items in pwe. the pixel world is actually a nice game but sadly pixel world only needs influencers to promote this game so that it can be more crowded, and if it succeeds pixel world will become a busy and more exciting game.why I can say this is because we just compare it with growtopia, in the game growtopia there are many influencers who try the game and yes finally many people know and try the game. So that's my advice for the future so that the pixel world is more crowded than before.

One if the major concers I have with trading hundreds of thousands of bytes is that trade scamming could become a lot more prominent. With the numbers being so large, it becomes harder to spot if someone changes the amount from, say 101100 to 10110. Don't get me wrong, these scams have always plagued the trading scene even before this change, but with numbers that are only up to three digits long, it's been a lot easier to see if the value gets changed.

Could you possibly add an option in the vendor where you can trade Lock Tokens (under 100) for Bytecoin?
Considering that there would be some lock tokens left in our inventory (and since we can't trade them anymore, we couldn't convert them to a WL). It would probably be a waste of if we were to trash it.
You can still convert lock tokens to WLs but I don't know what you can do with less than 100

For your information, people who play using pc, they don't have to use the scroller to select the number of world locks for trading. Even though there is no "input" field for world lock unlike byte coins, you can still type in the number. For example you want to buy something for 55 world locks. Your stacks have 699 world locks. Are you going to bother with sliding the tile to find 55 world lock? No need. Just press 55 without having many delays in between and boom, you will find the correct amount selected.

I got hacked and lost literally everything I had, and none of the staff helped me or did anything about it... I felt betrayed and left alone and therefore decided to quit even after spending quite a sum... But now with this new update I see that the staff actually cares for the players and the new ones and the game itself... Hopefully it'll give me the feeling of fresh start I'm looking for without the pain of remembering what I had lost in the past, it still burns but I'm willing to give this game another chance...
I recommend making the the trading UI for byte coins a little bit bigger so its much easier to see

when I came back to the game after a year break, I saw all my precious farms/shop and trading worlds I built just to be gone. I was utterly disappointed and sad since I have no more items since I left them on a chest when I quit the game including my worldlocks and lep capes

@evilcake back when pw eas first released people were calling it a Growtopia copy for a good reason since they copy Alot of Growtopia's stuff, including the wl. Since the Wl was already a currency in gt itself and pw copies it. It could also mean that jake knows that wl is already a currency and most likely added it as a currency in Pw.

No, I disagree with your last point. Pixel Worlds is declining now and the proof could be seen on the pixel worlds player population steam graph. Just google it and see for yourself. It’s 2-3x less than it’s player population peak. Maybe that may be untrue for mobile players, but the fact there’s been less players now on steam really does show that this game is in fact dying. Not to mention the lack of relevancy with these recent updates have nothing to do with the theme of the game. I highly doubt a card game update or a jet race has anything to do with a sandbox MMO game. At this point it doesn’t feel like it’s the game it was described to be. All just repetitive in a way. I mean just look at how much of a failure jet update was. Reviving this game will be hard, as you’ve lost many of your veteran and old players. The devs of PW seems to be geared towards the “new players” and have started to forget us older veterans. I feel like your engagement and support with the community has lessened throughout the years. You’ve seemed to forget the community more and more. Though for what it’s worth, many people eventually caught on and just decided to quit. Though the funny thing about this game is you could literally profit more from quitting than actually playing the game. You may be able to bring new players over to the game, but you have lost more older players than you can count. The once great community in PW has died, and the golden era has ended a few years back. It had simply went from socializing, building and having fun to the sole purpose of “profiting”. I simply wonder if the devs even try like they’d back then. It seems the devs would add any other updates other than the features and things the community has asked for. I don’t recall anyone ever asking for a card update. Need me to remind you that this is a sandbox MMO game? Not to mention nether was never revamped, neither was farming. All these old features are simply lackluster and are behind nowadays. This game still needs a lot of rework yet these devs chose to jump ahead and add more content that’s essentially a quick gem-grab.The updates barely last for a week, they’re quite literally on the level of a booster pack’s lifespan. Then we have bundles which basically further convinced me that PW is slowly involving into a pay-2-win. I could honestly see PW going under the title of “gatcha game” at this point. Stop adding irrelevant updates to the game, you’re just killing your player base. Don’t live in your delusions of “oh our player base is better than it’s ever been, and it’ll be a new era!”. No, look around you. Look and listen to your community. Make changes and actually update your older content while you still can. It may already be too late to bring back many players, but there’s still time left to fix everything else. Though I’m not quite done yet. I have to argue that the fishing update was what brought the start of the downfall of this game. Totally broke the former progression route and only the wealthy players were able to afford fishing gears. It was just obviously too OP and broken. The proof being that the devs themselves had to even nerf fishing in general. Not only this, mining had only been much worse. The economy inflated way too much at that point and now new players have no standing or chance to get anywhere. Btw, mining wasn’t even nerfed. That only made me question the choices of the devs further. Also, one of the main problems in this game was that it simply rewarded early players. Examples include rare world names, better economy, gate-keeping, hoarding and more. I just felt as if this system really messed everything up years later down the line. In conclusion, as a player who started nearly 3 years ago, I just want you to fix your game and listen to feedback for once. Don’t forget your player base is what gave you this game’s success. Without it, your game would be empty and completely dead. Not hating on this game, I just mourn its former glory and wish for a better change. As always, remember that your best fans are ones who critique your game and wish most for your game’s success. Though I’ve pretty much lost must of my hope for PW anyway.

One thing that i would like to be fixed is when you add bytes to trade you have to click on the white box before you can type the amount on pc.
Also if you are adding high quantities of items to trade you have to type the number very fast or else it will just replace the first number.
Pros:
1. Scams harder to pull off
2. More flexible price negotiations
3. Less confusion among new players about the game's currency
4. You don't have to go to trade world to get something you need since availability will increase in PWE
5. More stable and solid prices for bytes which makes for fairer trades.
Cons:
1. Harder adjustment in the first few months
2. Confusion to returning players who are not up to date
You can see that there are more good things than bad things that will happen with this update so I support it.

Jake we have a problem about inventory slots. For example in basic seed pack has got 96 seeds so we cant open more packs before drop some seeds as you can understand too its going waste around 3x-4x more times, like drop seed open back and drop again when full inventory, in my opinion you can do inventory 200+ thanks for reading this i know you will do something about it thanks for help :)

Been playing for 3 years now and personally I think the 6 things that were stated in the video are actually good points, recently I've seen some players in my country that are buying platinum locks for real money in such a affordable price which made me think that the game is not that challenging anymore to afford the items that we want inside the game. And well just as Jake said that its a possible solution to prevent scams which is good for both players and devs even though they might think of another possible way to sell in game items, but hey the update still isn't here yet sooo- we'll just have to wait and see.

Looking forward to this update, but i still see one problem.. How will you make byte coins feel valuable?
Right now, seeing your world locks and diamond locks as "physical items" it feels like you actually have wealth. However, having just a ton of byte coins doesn't feel as special. Right now i don't even consider my bytecoins part of my personal wealth, even though i probably have about 10 world locks worth of them.

Look you are right in some points but i think instead of forcing people to use byte coins you should add more opportunities to that and there is why you shouldn’t make wls untradable :
1- Calculate problem:when people trading with wls that wasn’t issue but now because bc become main currency , because there wont be no wls anymore when they want to sell item cost 100 wls before they sell they will multiple with 250 to find bc price of that item but everything not that easy imagine item wroth 14 wls as you know playerbase of pw isnt that high aged which mean in trading people can do a lot of mistakes that can result with more trade scams seen in pw
2- Trading: you sad there wont be no effect on trading but there will ,how?
First pwe traders or profiters will get hard on making profit after that update caused by more usage of pwe then there is normal traders problem as you know because people usually use trading instead of pwe at item cost higher than 100 wl that will change with this update which means being trader will be more harder because there is already fast way to buy with pwe when we think around 300-400 people hang out at trading world with that update this not hard to see this number going down it will effect you instead of us
3- Scam issues:
I mentioned but trade scams will increase because of how hard to calculate with out calculator
About new players you are right having 2 currency is really confusing for them but as i told you i don’t think that should be the way of dropping it to the one currency
One more suggestion if you do all wls untradable add all wls to npc for people still wants to fast buy wls
1 and 3 wont matter in time. Once wls are untradeable they will eventually have no value so you dont need to calculate. In time 10k bytes for example will be the normal.

A way you can trade world locks is by ownership, for example: If I want to buy fgems and the price is a world lock, I could go to a new world, place the world lock in, and start a trade for ownership. Then, the seller would break the world lock and it's theirs. You can also exchange world locks for byte coins (not bitcoins, of course)
That comes with security reasons and hassle. I’d rather stick with using bytes.

There are many many more problems in this update
1. It will actually be harder for the trade because u need to count how much byte u put for example your item cost 60wl so u need to count it how much it values in byte i suggest adding a calculator or something
2.) change byte scam will be harder to detect specially when your trading a high price item because the byte slot is soo small i suggest making it bigger
3.) it will be 2x harder for us to adjust
4.) trading huge amount of item will be harder
5.)it will be harder for newbies to adjust
6.) what about kids there are many kid players here it will be much harder for them to do trading with bytes. Because its complicated
7.)this MIGHT DRIVE SOME PW PLAYERS OUT OF THE GAME THEY MIGHT QUIT
8.) I REALLY LIKED WL AND PL BECAUSE THEY ARE SOO MUCH COOLER THAN BYTE
9.) EASY BYTE VALUE MANIPULATION NOW
