Her mom just like her father have changed their lives completely. Therapy, recovery, the whole nine yards. Her child is in the very best hands. For the record her mom did not abuse her or put her in harm's way. She was never on drugs. I've known her father all his life and yes he had his share of issues as an adult but just like they made a choice to leave their dysfunctional ways, habits and environments, she has to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. We can't blame mom and dad for choices we are making today.

My question is; if her mom is so dysfunctional, why is she leaving her child with her then? While she goes and tricks? There’s always two sides to a story.
I have a niece who is few years younger than her who is on the same path. The only difference is my niece comes from a household where she didn’t want for anything and was provided with stability and structure. We never seen the destructive change coming, so to speak.
However, we have since found out that my niece is bipolar. Bipolar disorder is no joke. Especially in a teen child. As a teen you tend to show some acts of rebellion but if you’re a teen and bipolar it’s way worse. I’ve seen it first hand in my niece.
So it’s easy to sit back and judge when you’re not presented with all sides and perspectives. I feel for this young woman but I I can’t help but feel that her mental issue plays a crucial role in her behavior and life choices.

The bloom is gonna fall off the rose in a few years, and she’ll just be like any-other street person out there. I’ll say this. The worst trauma experienced is always at the hands of the in-house parent more than absent parent. They both have an effect don’t get me wrong, but if the abuse mentally and physically endured for years was at the hands of the mom, the only person she can blame is the mom cause that her first hand abuser. And sometimes people have to admit that some women who have these kids then completely abuse them once they’re on planet earth, it’s usually because that baby was brought here for a purpose that wasn’t about love (sometimes women have babies to get away from their own abusive household. Hoping that some man will give them a baby and take them away from their own trauma). And unfortunately that’s what makes the cycle of “survival babies” and “get a check” babies, and “keep a man” babies are born. And yes, men trap women for survival purposes as well. But we have to stop taking away accountability of mothers who abuse neglect and reject their own children. They need to know that their in-house trauma was far more worse than an absentee fathers neglect.

Please go to a church you trust or a women's shelter for human trafficking. Maybe mark has information on places you could go. Move to a different state. Make her proud and love yourself. You can get help to change. Deadly people out there so your time is limited and putting yourself in dangerous situations every day is child abuse and neglect because you are taking chances that could put her in the system and in harms way. You are young enough to hit the brakes and turn your life around. Serial killers, violent pimps, you name it. You are knowingly putting yourself and her life in danger. How can you tell her about your life while she grew up. She will wonder why her mom didn't love her enough to be safe and build a better life. Go to people that are willing to help if you are serious about getting help. It may not pay as much it will pay a hell of a lot more in love, respect, and safety for you and your daughter. We see your beauty and strength but you need to see it too. Stop making money for a dude that sees you as a $ ticket. Get out of that crap while you are young. Unfortunately, they continue the culture, they value it, someone has to stop it. When I pushed my mother for change she said “this ain’t ‘heaven’!”, well, it’s not hell either…We have to believe in the evolution/improvement of the quality of life/how we treat our kids. Everyone is hurt, but no one does anything about it, they just pass it on. Believe in the bounty of the unlimited Creator.
They believe, a bit, but just don’t real-ize it enough…They don’t heed enough. And the result is pain & suffering. That’s not the only choice. Example: I’m hungry right now, but I’ve vowed to eat one meal a day, it’s tough - but doable. In general, people over-endure abuse, we take too long to leave a bad environment; either job, city, relationship, or home. For financial uncertainty or social stigmas. But why not try? Perhaps the chaos we are accustomed to seems “safer” than the uncertainty that’s out there. But as JP says, we suffer either way, by staying or by taking risks, we have to choose which suffering... There’s actually more danger in not leaving. What’s out there are unlimited possibilities. Danger can still attack you in your rocking chair, no doubt, lol. We have to work on distancing & also reaching for betterment. Freedom was never free. Look at history.

No employer is going to hire someone in their 30s with zero work experience for anything less then entry level, which means not making as much as they do now. Which will inevitably lead them back to this life. It's an endless cycle. They have to come back to reality, and be willing to struggle more then they are now to rise above it all and break free. But people are addicted to money, and addictions never really go away, you just learn to live with it...
