Thanks Scott for a great comp video. It helped me decide which would work best for me.
Nice review. Well done! I am satisfied with my Ebsa. Also have the eb70 and ac200max. Just hope nothing goes wrong with them due to customer service issues.
I hope so too!
Thank you for this review because I've been vascilating between the two. I am looking at a 12v fridge/freezer that needs a 10amp car outlet and pulls 45 watts on eco mode on start up, then settles into around 30 watts. It will be plugged into 110v for initial cool down before being run off the Bluetti eb3a. I am struggling with how long the bluetti can run the fridge and also, trying to figure out if I can charge the bluetti from the truck alternator. Our truck has the 235 amp alternator for charging our fifth wheel. Can you advise?
And do you know how long it takes to recharge using 200 watts of solar? Desert of Arizona so plenty of ideal sun.
You forgot to mention 5 year warranty vs 2 year warranty. This is a big deal since they both are very similar for my need. The warranty, size and weight won me over for ecoflow.
Oh, good to know!
But ecoflow onlt have 4 big cell battery blueeti have 14 cell small battery😅 but the waranty 5 years nice
want to use EB3A to Power my Sony TV 241W + Router 15 W + Cable Model 36 W would this handle it or I a better off upgrading I like get around 3 to 4 hours of use
I've had the EB3A for a couple of days and I'm going to be returning it for a River 2 instead ... it should be superior in every way, but there's a known issue with the AC system overheating when in UPS passthrough mode and resetting/tripping the power station. Effectively, it's a terrible UPS. Sometimes you have to reset it manually, sometimes it resets itself. I've submitted a support ticket with Bluetti to give them a chance, but haven't heard anything so far. Thankfully I'm still covered by the Amazon return policy.
To add insult to injury, the fan speed controller PWM is extremely loud and annoying when it comes on. Sounds like a dial-up modem. You can search EB3A fan noise here on UA-cam and hear it yourself.
Thanks for telling us about the fan noise of the EB3A. I was about to order one, but changed my mine after you mentioned searching on UA-cam for complaints from others.
The Ecoflow River 2 Max has a very loud fan noise also.
I’ve had the river 2 for 2 weeks now and I think I’m going to return it for the eb3a.
I’ve found myself in a couple situations where I could have used the wireless charging pad.
I also like that in comes with the integrated light.. only thing that’s concerning for me is the lack of CS support I’ve heard about regarding the Bluetti.

They have different solar connectors. Ecoflow utilises a MC4 and if you use an adapter to use a solar panel other than their own, it voids the warranty. Bluetti has no problem with use of adapters. This is important depending on panels you have in mind. The Ecoflow panels look nice but they a bit expensive.
Which of these would be better to charge 2 iPhone at same time? Also can you use 12v cig outlet at the same time you are charging the unit with ac?
I would say the EB3A would be better for charging 2 iPhones at the same time. It has a 15 watt usb output and wireless charging pad on top. The River 2 has a 12 watt usb output. Also, yes, you can use both the 12 volt and AC outputs at the same time. Great questions!
What cable do I use to power the River 2 from a solar panel?
If it didn’t come with one, it should be a cable like this: www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZDT51RX/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_FR65EQA25EPJHWVF5QSN?linkCode=ml2&tag=srusson-20
Well this is not a comparison this is u reading the manufacturers description
I am torn between Bluetti AC180 or Ecoflow River 2 pro. Suggestion?
Ac180
Can i charge my 48V 16Ah E-bike battery with the bluetti EB3A? because I'm buying the Bluetti EB3A May 1st just for that purpose, im tired of having to find an outlet and looking goofy while i sit waiting.
Depends on the charger. If your charger is less than 600 watts, it should work just fine! You’d be able to recharge your bike battery with the EB3A only about a third though. The bike battery has about 3 times as much battery capacity as the EB3A.
Yes you can but they're around the same capacity.... I have that same size battery for my aerial rider
What if we added Jackery Explorer 300 to the mix, which one wins?
That’s a good question, I’m not familiar with Jackery’s specs, I’ll have to look into it!
Also, both of them work as UPS devices.
For how long my laptop and additional LCD 24" monitor will work on them?
Great video!! Can i please ask what is the largest battery backup you can add to the bluetti??
Thank you! As far as I’m aware there is no backup battery for the EB3A. Bluetti does offer them on larger units, you can check them out on their website.
I always noticed that Bluetti had the better specs, better price, eventually matched the warranty, ect. But Bluetti needs EcoFlow, and my theory is that to keep EcoFlow alive, they let them still have the Wave 2 for the upcoming sunmer as the only option of that nature. It’s like they need EcoFlow to innovate, so that they can improve on and price against. If Bluetti wanted to destroy EcoFlow they would soon release a far superior and more affordable version of the Wave 2, they still haven’t, and I suspect it was intentional and hinting at a weird competitive dependence on each other.
The Ecoflow River 2 Max that you have has 512wh, much larger battery capacity than the 210wh you mentioned.
Even though I'm showing the max, I was comparing specs to the river 2 base model.
@@ScottsSolarProjectsthis was very confusing to me, i was jumping through different sections of the video and didn't see when you mentioned you are comparing the river2 base model not the river2max.
@@user-ny2tr8vw3ghe mentioned it towards the beginning a couple different times.
Does eb3a have pass through charging feature using solar panel? Because river 2 have that feature.
Do you mean charge via solar and use the power at the same time? Yes, both of them can do that.
yes but you cant charge the eb3a via usb c from another power station.
@@ScottsSolarProjects thank you.
@@user-rp1vu1gk5u thank you!
Hi , can the River 2 power a 43 inch TV ?
Yes it can, for a few hours.
Returning my River 2 because it’ll only run a 10 watt fan for about 10 hours.
Get a better fan!
in your video you are describing a basic river 2 model but the model you have sitting on the table is the river 2 MAX (huge difference) for everyones information!
YOu obviously did not listen to the video because he mentions this for consumers first.
