The Kyte/Kestrel series was updated for 2019 and the new Kyte 36 is pretty slick! www.backcountryedge.com/osprey-kyte-36-womens-2019.html?.com&F4OyENpBRvI
Great video! I'm looking at a pack that I can use for an overnight hike but would also possibly like to make use of it on weekend hikes in the future (1-2 nights). Which would you recommend, the Osprey Tempest 40, Osprey Sirrus 36 or Gregory Jade 33? Thanks
This Sirrus 36 would meet your needs- it is flexible enough to get away as a large daypack, or overnights in the backcountry. An extra night would not add that much extra weight, so as long as your gear can fit in 36 liters, it should do the trick!
Great review. I am thinking of buying this for hiking, trekking and day or overnight mountain biking trips. The womens type looks better for me as it has a shorted pack length and wouldn't ride up too high. Have you had people use if for MTBing and what was their experience? BTW I have a relatively shorter torso length. thanks again.
Hiking packs tend to ride lower than biking packs, so as long as it isn't too long, or sits too low on your hips that would interfere with pedaling, the Sirrus is very versatile!
Ms Becky, if you had to pick one Osprey pack for minimalist travel and hiking use, which would it be? I have two in mind, but would like your professional input. Thank you
Thanks for asking! If I had to choose a smaller capacity pack, I'd pick the Osprey Tempest 20. It is my all-time favorite pack for hiking and traveling. The Tempest 30 is a little larger, but it has a lid on top instead of being panel loading and I prefer the panel loading access of the 20. Hope that helps! -Becky
Which one do you think is the best between the osprey sirrus 36 and Gregory jade 33? I'm going to use it for day hike and day trips for me and my daughter
Hi there! The Sirrus series has a suspended mesh backpanel for ventilation, whereas the Kyte uses a foam framesheet Airscape backpanel. It will depend on the users comfort preferences
My daughter is about to turn 10 and is growing fast. She has a 15 inch torso and 24 inch waist most kids packs max out around 18. Do you think the xs/s would be a good fit? Something she could grow into
Hi there! Gregory offers a variety of packs, so if you have a similar item that you are questioning please let us know! They are basically the same design, the Sirrus, designed as a women's specific pack, is meant for a slightly shorter torso length and narrower shoulders, and will have a different curvature of the straps. Most women would be more comfortable in the Sirrus, but larger women might fit better in Stratos.
Hi Lyn, good question! The Stratos will have longer torso sizes than the Sirrus and the harness won't be shaped like that of a women's-specific pack. If you find that you typically prefer a more neutral fit for your packs, then the Stratos will definitely work!
@@Enwild Hi there. Just picked up the stratos 36 since surprisingly it fits me better than Mira and Kyte. The adjustable shoulder trap do the trick. I got the S/M size. But I find it weighs more than Kyte, Renn and Tempest. But over all good.
Super helpful and thorough information! Going to use and recommend this pack for Mount Kilimanjaro trekking. Thanks so much!
Thanks! We hope to make it to Kilimanjaro someday :)
I am using it. Super comfy and I love it
Which one should I pick between osprey kyte 36 vs sirrus 36. I want to go to europe or Asia. Thanks

The Sirrus 36 has an adjustable backpanel, which is going to be better for dialing in the fit to your torso.

Thanks for asking! The size xsmall/small of the Sirrus 36 fits torso sizes 13" - 17", so if it fits it could be used by any user!
im so torn between this and osprey kyte 46. help
What are you using the pack for?
i am confused between this and gregory. it was both for travel via plane and hiking & camping 😭😭😭

Just love your videos!
Can i use this for a 3day hike?
Unless you have an ultralight, minimalist setup this pack will be too small for a 3-day trip. Good question!
@@Enwild thank you for answering my question.😊

@@lyngill5554 Most excellent!
Hi, just wondering what size are you reviewing in this video? XS/S or S/M?
The pack Becky wore in the video was a S/M. Thanks for watching!
may I ask, how tall are you?
Becky is 5'6", thanks for asking!
@@Enwild Ohh. Thank You👍🏻
