My great-grand aunts were also comfort women in Philippines during the war . It's infuriating how some people see these bronze statues as just statues and not for what it symbolizes. Even if you don't understand it, even if you don't know it, it means something to the women who lived in that time and must be respected.

he's not even a majority somali, so why is he using the name like he is??? but it's definitely gonna put shame on all black people. i doubt everyone there knows or cares much about the nuance between african cultures and the labels they prefer. in most western countries, only black people distinguish black people by nationality. to everyone else, you're likely just "black", so i doubt SK will act much differently.

@@ithoughtiwascishet1316 In Europe, people of African descent are often identified by their specific country of origin, such as “Nigerian” or “Somali,” unlike in the U.S., where they are usually grouped as African American. In highly homogeneous countries like South Korea, both Black and White individuals are often assumed to be American due to the global influence of American media.

Preach!!! Im American and people like this make it significantly harder for me to travel and enjoy a culture that should be celebrated and instead, locals want to push away tourists that genuinely want to experience a new environment and their history. It’s a shame.
I was able to witness the Geisha’s in Japan on my trip in 2018 on their way to work but I’ve heard that’s been restricted now because of tourists that have been grievously disrespectful. I’m sad for the individuals who don’t make a fool, because it was seriously a fascinating moment for me. Like, it’s not hard, act like an adult and understand that the culture you are in is NOT what you grew up in and that should be respected by listening to the boundaries enforced.
This guy is the worst though because he literally understands and doesn’t give two shits. And yes, I’m of the mindset that if he’s not jailed in Korea, then he can proceed onto China or India like she stated he was wanting to do. Good luck, because it won’t end well for him. I just call it natural selection.
This is where I continue with my conclusion that media (social) has really ruined our world. Yes, it’s amazing and useful, but it makes people insensitive and dependent. *sigh*
Also, I think his “followers” are not legit. I think they are hoping he gets killed for their own sick amusement and he is just falling into that as long as he gets whatever money he gets.
Also, to answer your question as why he chose those countries, is because of Tools like Logan Paul who did similar “blogs”. Bro thinks that in three years he’s going to be a millionaire and on top of the world by following the same trend. The one ingredient he missed was not growing a young audience to depend on his “content” before doing this….thank god.

      @MicheleDoenges 4 дні тому +14

He's probably convinced that we did because of the American occupation period after WWII. We and the USSR are technically the reason North and South Korea never reunified, because we occupied NK and SK respectively to help them rebuild after the war, much like we did with Japan, and while USA encouraged SK's development as a democracy, the USSR helped set up the dictatorship in NK. SK also modeled their capitalist economy after USA, but they're doing a way better job of it than we are. That doesn't mean we BUILT them. Supported? Yes. Built? Absolutely not. The Korean peninsula was a thriving, independent nation throughout most of history, with the occasional scuffle with Japan and China. We had nothing to do with that.

About the japan crime one. Being indonesian with my grandfather fought in both war against dutch and japanese i can confirm a pattern. when soldier stationed outside their own country, they tend to do despicable stuff. Beside the comfort woman case done by japan to us, dutch soldier also did the same with few case example being SA in South Sulawesi 1947, J C Princen Testimony and many more documented evidence. Even US soldier are guilty of same the thing as documented in coloumbia , okinawa and iraq. With example that i am familiar with being the one in iraq with mahmudiyah case 2006.
As for why the statue caused tension despite it was announced, it is politician and integrity of the country. perhaps you can understand if i used US example to target iraq for weapon of mass D that turned out to be not exist. Politician is different kind of rotten . They will never accept any kind of wrongdoing. Pulls out a can of beer (Asahi) points to the label and says 'See HangGuk' (instead of Hangul) repeatedly (s3xu@lly licking it) The label is in Japanese Kanji 🙄 He tries so hard to portray all the negative stereotypes of a black male, calling him pathetic is insulting to the pathetic. The joke is that they tracked him by the pizza he was eating (it was a brand limited to certain areas) 😆
Since his passport was confiscated, there is a recording of him and his minions trying to plan how to sneak him out of Korea. They seem to think he can take a train from Seoul to Jeju 😂 Apparently he went to the US embassy to get an emergency passport, which won't help him if they are blocking him at all ports of entry. 🤭
His parents must be so proud...

Hello! This is my first time seeing your UA-cam Chanel and I subscribed! Yay!
FYI the police are already outside protecting Ramsey (from all the threats he was getting) when the UDT (Korean version of Navy Seals) guy pushed Ramsey to the ground. The UDT guy was so angry that he assaulted Ramsey right in front of law enforcement. That's why Ramsey thought he was safe and was acting cocky. I think that if police weren't there, Ramsey would have been real hurt!

crazy thing is that we all saw these random news about him pop up everywhere and all i knew is him saying "this was just a prank, please help me not get jailed." while i got to know about him and what he did with the oil. but this is sooo fucked.
just when you think it can't possibly get messier and messier but for some reason he pulling more shit and it's just ???? why the fuck you throw your whole life in the drain like this to disrespect whole asia, talk in this sickening manner about issues that you shouldnt even touch on if you got nothing good to offer in the first place? everything about it is just weird. "clout" and all that shit is not worth it if you go on about it like this, the heck. so many other things in the world (he majored in fkn finance) and he go do the most disrespectful. lovely
even the ppl that watched him out of this curiosity they had (if he really will do things etc.) they are also part of it. cuz they were there and kinda supported it, they also to blame. and paying to say all kinds of things, even if for very little money.. people be mad fkn weird man. i'm glad i watched this with you cuz i lowkey needed this shared anger together. they better jail him for good and very long and he better sit in his damn cell and really think it through on what he has done. he should get his damn bones broken for this.🤦‍♂🤦‍♂ can't even find sympathy for this dude

While I 100% think this person should get everything that comes his way, especially for all illegal behavior, I wish countries in general would be more transparent about their negative past behavior as much as they accentuate and even exaggerate the positive. To be fair, after living in both countries, I have seen both deflect and give one-sided presentations of their history, leaving young people not knowing how their country’s past relates to the present. Moreover, I wish more people would spend more time learning about history from around the world in addition to their own countries. Regarding apologies, they are pointless, whether sincere or not, unless they accompany actual changed behavior.

If you wanna know how bad Japan was during the war, my indonesian late grandmother would burst into anger at the mention of japan. Japan invaded indonesia for 3,5 years, very very brief compared to the Dutch which was about 350 years. But my grandma said it was the worst 3,5 years of her life. They were really cruel, and i think my grandma had PTSD from the sounds of the soldiers' boots marching through the neighborhoods. Even the Romusha, the forced labor, was far worse that the one the Dutch did. Now that i think about it, i really hope my grandma wasn't one of the victims back then, because she would be in her early 20s during that time 😢
